This place is an absolute joke & there are far better options for stoarge units in this area. Upon signing your contract & moving in they require you to pay $20 for one of "their locks" which is a small piece of junk about the size of a dime. I used a larger & more heavy duty lock that I've used at other stoarge facilities, but for some reason management still felt the need to put a bunch of "Public Storage" stickers all over my personal lock that are a complete pain in the ass to remove. In addtion to being forced to purchase a useless $20 lock, management also forces you to pay $15+ monthly for insurance to protect your belongings. They originally told me I could remove the insurance coverage after moving in & I requested that several times, but there is no formal way around their insurance requirement when you sign your lease agreement & they didn't seem to care much about upholding my request to have insurance coverage removed from my monthly invoice.
Rented a unit here for the last 6-8 months & only went a handful of times; it doesn't appear management does anything to maintain the property during downtime because there was a hornet's nest on the locking mechanism of my unit that repeatedly went unnoticed & increased in size month to month each time I visited. Futhermore the "walls" on my unit weren't even attached to the base framing around the perimeter of the 5x10 space - leaves, pollen & other outside debris blew into my unit through the cracks along the base, it was everywhere & it was absolutely ridiculous. By the time I checked out of my unit last week after the 6-8 months I used this facility, the concrete floor was covered from all the outside debris & my belongings were covered in pollen, leaves & spiders as well. You would think if management is forcing every tennat to pay $15+ a month just for insurance coverage maybe the property would have some sort of basic pest control service or monthly spraying around the property, but I guess that's asking too much?!!?? Do yourself a favor & go somewhere else to rent a unit if you're looking around Fern Park......regardless how inexpensive their rates look, this place isn't worth saving a few dollars if you truly care about the items you're putting in storage.

I went in to bc I am doing research on storage units for my mom and Nikki was very helpful. She answered all my questions and made sure I understood what I would need to do when I am ready to move forward. I will definitely be back when the time comes. Customer service is one of the main things I look for when working with a specific company and Nikki had what it takes!

Kimberly was a blessing to help me better than the kiosk did. Due to some issues with my account, several representatives on the kiosk could not help me with my concerns. However, Kimberly was graciously at the location to help me and I truly appreciated her customer service. I prefer to have human interaction(s), because her help was more immediate and grateful. I rented on 9/1st, I had no problem online with it, the unit was empty and pretty "cleaned".
My nightmare began when I want to move on the 9/3rd and the name is Kymberly the manager of the place ( she said it).
I have a lot of plastic boxes (about 100) and I like to keep everything tidy so my husband and I decided to assemble some wooden shelves inside the unit using a battery powered screwdriver (NOT ELECTRIC - NO GAS), never using or drilling holes in walls, floor, ceiling or columns, in order to have everything organized and easy to clean (because we know that these places are filled with rats and other insects.
We were assembling these shelves and this lady showed up with a bad attitude and rude.
Telling us that we had to stop assembling the shelves, that the only way we could put shelves in the unit was if we brought them assembled from our house, 7ft high shelves...We tried to explain the situation to her in a thousand ways, we showed her we only were screwing to assemble, that we were not working, we only want order and cleanliness, we showed her we were not using anything electrical (which was the first thing she said that it could not be used, I don't understand like because the unit doesn't have electricity) but she kept raising her voice and talking over us.
So, I had to call customer service and I have to wait up to 24 hours for them to respond to my complaint.
A lost day, that NOBODY will return my time and money.
When I left I tried to talk to the lady again but it is impossible with her attitude, I even mentioned that in the morning the other renters test their machines and keep tools that use gas in the units and that I didn't understand the problem with my battery-powered screwdriver ... to which he replied: " is before 9:30-10 am, which is when I am here"....
discrimination? derision? I don't know...
I asked for a refund since she won't let me put up shelves if I don't bring them in my car and she said NO.
I lost time, money and the worst thing is that I realize that 1 person who believes or thinks that they have some "decision" or a "manager" position believes that they are doing their job well by BEING RUDE TO THE CUSTOMER.
In summary:
The place is good, but if you need to talk to the person in charge about something there, you already know that your life will not be easy and you will receive bad treatment (unless this is something discriminatory)
My worst experience renting a unit, I hope this person gets the disciplinary action she deserve if Public Storage is a serious company and appreciates the customers.

I have a storage unit with you all . And also purchased insurance. I spend 200 $ a month. I went there last month to check it and it is infested with flying roaches. ( I'm literally terrified to go in there.) I called the office to see what they can do about it and they said they would spray outside my unit. And to contact the insurance company to file a claim to get 250 $( literally nothing for all the items I have in there) . I come the next month and the roaches are everywhere. Called again(Kim the PM answered)and the same thing. Only offered now to move units so I can just carry the same roaches over to it I guess. I ask to put in for a decrease on my payments just until I can get it out and was denied. Storage unit was damaged upon arrival and could not get it opened. Couldn't help me without charging me more for a lock. Waited over an hour for any assistance. Couldn't get anyone on the phone for over 20 minutes while my movers were sitting in there cars.
This location filled my need while I was moving and couldn't store everything at the new place. Staff was very helpful, patient, and communicated well throughout my stay. I remember April and Heather by name but possibly more were helpful too. Never had any problems and everything was clear.

I've been renting from Public storage for YEARS, and experience the worst customer service. "Property manager" Kim, stated that she doesn't meet customers at the sister property because it's a kiosk. She also wouldn't allow us to get in the unit to get the generator because we had the wrong lock. She didn't offer a solution just refused the access. I was at winter park location and Selina has always provided that extra mile for customer service. Selina met us at the fern park location, and allowed us into the unit. While there we all noticed each unit had DIFFERENT locks. I will and always call (winter park location) Selina for the best customer service.

Good facility makes entry easy by using the phone app. Storage is expensive but that's everywhere right now.

Tough company to purchase services from. Have had 5 units for multiple years and can’t tell you how many times they have drilled the locks for being 10 days late on rent. If you aren’t going to be able to pay on time don’t even think about it. By the 10th day late you lose access, but the 15th they drill your lock, by the 25th they file liens and assess lien fees on top of the late fees. Ultimately they are in their right to do all the above, but don’t think you have any grave periods or considerations, you will be sadly disappointed. Also, if you buy their boxes, check for full on roach infestation to the point of being unusable, but don’t expect a refund, but I did get an apology.

Wow! Speak about incredible service! Casey and Josie are a bundle of joy! I’ve honestly have not had an experience like I did with them even if it was just a storage rental service sometimes it take just a good smile and laugh to have a great time. Casey was very diligent, profesional, walk me through the facilities to make sure I knew where everything was and patient teaching me about the locks; the accommodations were grade A! Decently I recomendable them!!!
