DO NOT RENT HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO MOVE YOUR STUFF IN 6 MONTHS!!!!!! ____________________________________________________________ 2022 UPDATE Less than 6 months after moving to a smaller unit they increased rent another 20% These people are crooks - they know it is a pain to move and they take advantage of that. __________________________________________________________________ Don’t fall for the initial rent price. They raise with way too frequently usually at a 30% clip. It can’t be based on demand since they are offering lower rates online for new customers. They don’t value loyal customers.

The staff here are extremely helpful. The place is well lit, easily accessible, and clean. Highly recommend.

This started out as a good experience and I'm no longer happy. Especially with the communication! A few months ago I reserved a unit and informed the young lady that I would most likely not be moving any of my things in until my actual move in date that was about 2 weeks later. She told me that was fine because I had reserved it. Fast forward to my move in date and I go to get access only to find out the my unit was in fact given away. A very nice customer service lady helped me into a slightly larger unit and honored the price of the original unit. So in total i was paying $65. A month ago I get an email stating that my price was going up to $125! I couldn't believe it. And when I baked to speak with someone she hung up on me. I understand that prices can change based on demand, but a 50% price hike is absolutely outrageous. I also requested to have it looked into and to have someone give me a call back about the situation and never received it. Just checked my account and sure enough the $125 was pulled out. I'm disappointed that Public Storage thinks that is acceptable. I'm disappointed that noone had contacted me in regards to the situation. I'll be shopping around for a different storage unit.

Moving to the area soon and was shopping around for a unit, stopped in and was happy to see a clean facility and staff willing to answer my questions. Rosalie helped me navigate the kiosk and made it simple. This location is miles above other storage units in the area!

Update 04/17/24 - after my review update posted, I received a call from the office manager, Selena, to discuss the issues. She is doing as much as possible to work within the corporate restrictions to help me resolve the issue, but the corporate office has rejected her requests to return my rent to a more reasonable rate. As I mentioned in my original review, the staff at this location is great. She even remembered who I was, my vehicle, and my units after not seeing me there for 8 months. Update - It got worse. RENT ANYWHERE ELSE! I work on the road a lot and I rented my house because I was going to be on a 12 month job assignment. I moved into a storage unit in Casselberry, FL, in 03/2023. In under 12 months, my rent was increased by 78% of my original contract amount. I have a second unit of the same size in the same building one floor down that I had two months prior, 01/2023, and my rent has been increased by 95% of my original contract amount in the first 12 months. They are currently (04/2024) advertising the same exact unit size for the same exact price as my original contract. This company is a bait and switch specialist. They get people in their units by offering rent equal to or just under local facilities, then raise rent within 90 days knowing it's expensive, labor intensive, and difficult for people to take time off of work to move to another facility. Several times when I came home to do work on my house, I couldn't even get to my tools because the elevator was not working and the stairs are only emergency stairs and will not open from inside the stairwell. With the money they are charging, they could have completely replaced the broken elevators with 1 to 2 month's of their extortion level rents. Original post I have never in 25 years had a company bait and switch with a rental price that goes up 40% after 3 months. Half the time, they have been under construction, my codes wouldn't work, elevators were broken, and multiple times, I couldn't even access my unit when I was home from working out of state. Absolutely horrible service for the price, but the people who work there have been a polite and nice as they can while dealing with the corporate price gouging.

When I went online to reserve the space, it was a special which was cheaper and how much it was in the end. The price had changed when I hit send to reserve it with my credit card. It went from 110 up to 175 with no first dollar special for the first month, they said they could do nothing about it and that I was stuck with the space. I think this is poor business and hidden charges are never good for consumer. I will never rent again or promote this Company

I've had my unit since October of 2023, so as of writing this only 5 months. I got an email (with 3 days before the next monthly payment) that they were raising the price of my unit by $50/month. This is an insanely weird and greedy business act. I'm enrolled in autopay and pay my bills on time. It is insane to me that they would price gouge the unit like that. I decided to schedule move out immediately. I picked the unit because it was in my budget and now it is completely out of it. This is extremely disrespectful of the company and shows they do not care at all about their customers. Also my unit had a large pole in it that took away from room I could have used. The doors are also sometimes broken too. If you can take your storage needs elsewhere.

Glad I picked this place. The property is very clean inside and out. Rosalie is amazing! She's was such a big help to me. She's so informative and such a fresh of breath air. If you need storage definitely recommend this place!

Terrible company!!! I went there to use one of their storage units. They took my 29.95 admin fee and was unable to assist us with the unit we were renting. When we arrived at the facility there was no one there to help us. I had to, due to their incompetence, had to go to Uhaul, who I had the moving van with, and use one of their units which I ended up paying a lot more for. When I requested my fee returned after only having given it to them in about an hour before we realized we could not get the unit, they refused to return the fee. BAD BUSINESS!!! They could care less about me as a customer. It was their fault we were unable to get a unit and yet they think its just fine to keep my money. JUST WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW THAT IS THINKING OF GOING TO A STORAGE FACILITY NOT TO USE THEM.

Stop, look up another smaller storage facility and go there. When i was moving out everyone complained about $300+ storage unit Bills and they were moving out too. I had to walk 35yards just to get to my unit: think about that! Also, they raise monthly fees after 3 months, have no restroom, no personal staff for a reason, do not maintain anything except cameras, apply 85 degree climate control conditions, and will screw you out of $500 after you move-- if that doesn't sound like a Joke proceed at your own financial risk.

I’m giving 3 stars because my stuffs are safe but even tho they are doing some changes, they need to fix the AC and also there’s no light inside every storage like other companies has… it’s to dark for the one that has to look for a particular item etc.. furthermore, something that it’s important to know if that you are never gonna be paying what they tell you at the beginning… there’s always rise on payment for whatever reason, so, careful with that because I’m paying around 100 more that I have told and when you already have all your stuffs together you just pay because you don’t wanna do the whole moving again… been there sometimes and it has been imposible to gets in because problems with the main door, elevators.. etc.

Big shout out to Selina, who helped me settle some trouble I was having regarding my unit. She took care of my problem, and I can rest a bit easier now.

I rented a unit from them without seeing it a few weeks ago. Unbeknownst to me, it was on the 3rd floor in the very back of the building. I tried to get closer to the front, after the fact, but was told it would have cost me another $30 a month, which I was not willing to do and since I had already paid the ridiculous administrative fees, etc. we stayed put. It also says climate controlled but where we are was well above 80 degrees inside, closer to 90. I would not recommend renting from a facility where there is not a manager on site so that you can see ahead of time what you are renting. It is way too expensive a month for that!

So this place 1355 FLA-436, Casselberry, FL., has eliminated their in-person contact person to an automatic person. I feel very uncomfortable and uneased when a facility of this nature does not have anyone on-site! Use to be able to speak in person with Maryann when I needed assistance while in the facility. My main concern now is my safety and the assistance needed by a staff member at least during business hours and days! Sad that machines are better than human beings!

Since most storage experiences are pretty standard, staff is usually the difference maker. In this case, Mary Ann was fantastic. She was super friendly and helpful from the first visit to explore prices right down to trying to help at the door each time we visited - even though she didn't need to. The worker who was there when we signed up was helpful too. They both handled business as promised. Comparing this to another company we explored where you couldn't find staff for an hour and then they showed up only to inform us how bad their accommodations were... Night and day, no real choice to be made! UPDATE... Major downgrade after two serious issues with payments. First, an online attempt failed with untrue claim of non-sufficient funds. More likely an import error on my part - due to lack of auto-fill capability on their site. No way to find out what happened because my bank had no record of an attempted payment. So I got stuck paying TWO penalties. The next month, I tried to pay in person, only to find NO personnel at any surrounding sites for an entire day. Calls to managers' offices were pointless and frustrating. Essentially, since they already have my account and my stuff, there was little care for whatever I might want/need anymore. Even trying to manipulate the phone tree options to get a real person ended with being put on hold for 30 mins only to have the call dropped - I believe on purpose! Finally found a pay kiosk miles away and dead in the middle of crazy rush hour traffic. Can't wait to get my stuff out of their facility! May Ann, the original manager who made a great first impression called the next day, but with little to offer besides an apology. Poorly managed companies can go from first-to-worst in two transactions, flat! Disgusting!

Mary Ann is a keeper! She was so valuable in the process of me switching to a different storage unit. She keeps the facility very clean. I've had no issues with either storage unit that I've rented. Temperature and climate are great. I've never seen a pest.

2022/08: Not sure what's going on, but it appears to be a bait and switch thing with this company. After giving me a good deal to move in and after only four months, they're now increasing the monthly storage rent by $60 a month, which is a 33% increase! Now, I have to fly back and move everything out to another place. This is not a trustworthy company. I recommend looking elsewhere AND get your price locked in for a year or you could be put in a very bad situation like me with these guys. Moving a 10x15 out to another place is a huge and very costly burden!

Great storage unit! Air conditioned, moving tools to use, clean, friendly staff. But I have to say the best part about my experience with this location is Maryann. She is personable, friendly, and willing to help! While I don't have a need for the unit anymore, I will certainly return if I ever do and will recommend my friends and family!
