Marie is terrific. There are other unrelated storage facilities closeby which are sketchy but this one is always very clean, well-directed, well-maintained, and safe. I am always impressed. Long term user here...the facility changed ownership a few years back but the quality has been maintained. The present manager Marie is wonderful, and now Becky.
Sadly I recently found out that the average rates for 10x10 storage locally run $80-160 and this place is charging me $250 for this outdoor though I am a long time faithfully-paying user. I also had a truck and two men ready to move me in April but when my unit got hit by someone's moving truck in March my unit's door wouldn't open (after I paid for all of March due on the first and even April as they said it would be fixed but wasn't - but the owners comped me August for the April payment). When the corner outside (not on the inside as that moving truck hit damaged the inside wall which Marie saw) was fixed in midJuly and the door could finally be opened my friends had already PCSed. I am in my 70s on limited income and now have to pay to move my things out of this unit now, so trying to do it on my own mostly though I cannot lift some things. My own car was hit while parked downtown so being repaired most of August as previously scheduled through my insurance, so I was without a car for 3 weeks August due to the difficulty of getting the front bumper part, further complicating me doing this move on my own when this unit was finally open for my access again. I have found a place that will give me the first month's rent free, is climate controlled indoor with good hours and monitored & locked for only $126 for the same 10x10 space. Am going to move this month though have to pay the $250 for September after I asked if I could pay their current rental rate rather than what they charge me for September while I finish leaving, but it was denied. ADDITION: They billed me $300 for September' rent (which I paid as trying to move all by myself) ...sigh. Guess they don't want me to stay.

IMO, This location is unsafe! There are homeless living in the units; conducting drug deals in broad daylight.
This location sits directly between an assisted living center and a grocery store. The property has the only sidewalk in the neighborhood — The sidewalk only runs the one side of the street on their property. Unfortunately, they don't remove snow and ice in the winter, or weeds in the summer. There are 4 foot weeds blocking the sidewalk. Elderly/disabled residents are forced to walk or drive their rascal scooters out in the street with cars racing past them to get to the grocery store.
This location has been a burden on the neighborhood since Public Storage acquired it last December.
I've spoken to the manager and I've called the corporate office, and only been able to speak to representatives that don't have the authority to speak on it. They've been unable to direct me to somebody who can.
At this point, the neighbors and I have resigned to submitting code violation complaints to the city to have the snow, ice, and weeds removed. The city will resolve the issue at this location.

Recently was taken over by Public Storage. They did not notify tenants within a decent amount of time (2 weeks after taking over). Payment was setup for autopay but because PS took over the original company, payment never came out, and even though we never agreed to, nor signed a lease with PS, as well as have a letter from them that we didn't receive until the end of December (after Christmas), they are trying to say our 82.55 payment was due back in Dec. still. Even though we have a letter saying that our first payment would be moved to the 1st of Feb. they are still trying to say we owe them almost $500, late fees, etc. even though we already removed all of our items from our unit they are still sending us lien notices....um, good luck making any money off of a unit that has NOTHING in it. Not to mention, the whole reason we selected the facility we chose to begin with was for 24 hour access b/c I'm disabled so cannot be lifting things and my husband works odd hours. Public Storage took over and WITHOUT NOTICE, 24 hour access was taken away immediately. Horrible, horrible, storage company! The fine print in their contract (which we NEVER signed or gave them permission to alter our contract signed with the previous company, like they did) says not to store anything valuable (then what's the point of having a storage then?) And what their insurance actually covers, and the amount of what it doesn't cover is freaking bogus. STAY AWAY from Public Storage, this company is nothing but a corporate con artist that likes to screw their tenants over. If you really need a good Storage place in the area of Colorado Springs, then go to StorQuest in Fountain and talk to Justin. We got a unit twice as big for the same price, also climate controlled, less shady, with an actual security gate, and not wooden stick like PS, and it has 24 hour access. Plus the additional perk of customer service being available 24/7 should something happen during closed hours of the office should you need help with anything. They even have someone who is on call that could come to the property if what you need help with requires such assistance. Just stay away from Public Storage.....worst Storage company ever.

Rented this unit for the 24.7 gate access, which it stated online. As soon as I moved in, access times changed to 9pm. Really needing this to be 24.7, not to happy about this mix up.

Just started renting a storage space here a little over a week ago. So far it's been exactly what I expected. We dealt with Brandi while signing up and she was great. She's very friendly, personable, and knowledgeable about not just the unit but the area as well.
Read the contract. These people are predators and push you to not read what you're signing. Don't do business with them, they are already overpriced anyway, and they make themselves unbearable in the expenses after a time.
The Store Manager, Brandi, was a delight to work with. The paperwork process was uneventful. Only downside was that the paperwork seemed endless. I could have grown a beard before the initialing or signing documents was finished. But that is business. Our conversations got us both laughing - it was a cool experience from start to finish.
Our experience at Security Self Storage was absolutely wonderful! Brandi, the manager, made sure we were completely taken care of. I knew what we stored was secure. This is my best experience yet with a self storage place. And…it is so clean! Security Self Storage feels safe too. Thank you!

Great people, good prices, however in the summer months there were black widows in my unit. It is Colorado and they are native so it wasn’t a huge deal.
