Went into 1710 S Abilene St and had the pleasure to meet Jennifer the property manager for this location. Immediately she welcomed me with a smile and asked me what I needed. Throughout the entire process she engaged with me and the 2 other guests at the same time! If you do not know what you have please appreciate Jennifer, she is definitely a gem, one of a kind! Out of all public storages this is by far the only respectful out of all. Jennifer and Tiffany are the most helpful ladies that I've ever met working at public storage every other experience wasn't as helpful as this place but this wouldn't be a great place if it wasn't for having the most awesome lady ever Jennifer and another co-worker Tiffany they both are so sweet and they're not there just to put a deaf ear to you and make business they're there to also make it a great stay and they do listen so I give this place a 10 star only because Jennifer and Tiffany make it all better . Not only to store your belongings there but for their excellent customer service.
Thank you for all your help and making this a place I like to come and see a friendly face unlike most.

I was broken into.forced to change all my information to the point of zero access. To watch Jennifer and kira manipulate the system to assist the customer I was forced to submit my storage to
First I was broke into and notified a month and a half later. Then I was forced to change all my access points so that way a different person was able to block me out. I haven't had access to my personal storage unit for over a month. And then they manipulated the system to help a current customer that is in complete control of my personal storage unit. Jennifer S has above and beyond customer service. She works at a different location and was just covering someone else's days off but she is the biggest reason for my review. She did everything possible to help us with our faulty lock on a weekend when there were not a lot of options. Shout out also to Kira who was a beacon of sunshine when I needed to add an authorized user to my unit, as well as Daniel who took phone calls about our lock on his days off and then came to the unit when he was back to help with our stuck lock. These 3 individuals made an average storage experience a stand out experience. Every business needs employees like them.

The storage life has its ups and downs. It also has its good and bad.
Exemption of this opinion from me to others I havent had much to say as I just want to be able to go into my paid unit, charge my devices as my day was going to be a long one.
Having to wait for staff to open doors that are contractual to 9am it was later than that, per usual

We met with Anesty here after making a reservation online. While we chose a size larger with our reservation, Anesty helped us to determine that we didn't need a unit quite as big. Anesty found something smaller with the 1st month free, saving us some money AND we didn't have to pay the 1st month!
We really appreciated the professionalism this young lady had; her customer service was excellent and she really made the process of getting storage for our belongings hassle-free. Please accept our appreciation of the outstanding experience we had!!
Big problem with this location.. EVERYTIME I come, I have to wait 30 minutes to give them my ID just to get a CART or wait 30 or more to be able to leave because they have my ID. MAJOR INCONVENIENCE EVERY TIME!!! I literally have yet to come and not had a 5 minute trip turn into an hour. I would not recommend renting here unless you are retired with nothing to do but stand outside their locked door in the middle of the day....EVERY DAMN TIME.... REALLY? I feel like my personal and privy information is being held hostage.
As someone who has worked customer service for twenty years; this was a nightmare and a total waste of time, money and resources ...and I am STILL NOT DONE. The building locked with my unit open because no one bothered to tell me that they don't allow people indoors after hours(to the units. Even though the code-pad advises you to call a # for after hours access, which confirms your info and then says "It has been unlocked for you" with nothing actually happening. Turns out it's not even supposed to! Yet that's what is suggested... Wow. Just wow.)
I had a reservation and was told to show up in time to grab my unit before they closed at 5pm, so myself and my movers got there at around 4 And the only person that was supposed to be working ABANDONED HER JOB. Lights on in the building but no one there and a dozen people just waiting outside Now, I'm having to pay $400 JUST so the movers wouldn't throw my stuff away, on top EXTRA TIME and them unloading for ultimately no reason. No after hours access, which is the exact OPPOSITE of what I was told and customer service just says 'nothing I can do'??
Nah. I need someone to reach out. I will show you my movers receipt and you will need to reimburse me or this will go to small claims. Reply here please and thank you.

The staff was really helpful. I was forced to move my things pretty quickly from where I had them. When inquiring about Public storage they were extremely helpful and were able to get me in the same day I visited them, and at a reasonable price. I would recommend them to anyone. Long story short I was behind on my payment due to my grandmother passing away when I called my bill was 419 and some change cool I understand I need to pay my bill the next day after that call I called back to see if I could do a partial payment only to be told my stuff was put up for sale sold and picked up all in the same day and there's nothing I could do I lost a bunch of sentimental items along with everything else I owned words can not describe how betrayed I feel I wasn't notified about it going up for sale and come to find out they had all my contact information incorrect with a number that's I haven't had in years
I know I'm at loss and theres nothing I can do but I can warn you steer clear of public storage

Kira was not professional at all. I was told over the phone that I would be able to see the unit to make sure I wouldn't be paying for more than I need. I arrived the door was locked and when Kira did arrive she walked right past me and said what I was asking for was very uncommon. I just left. Terrible service awful attitude.
Jeffrey was nice in being able to get me my storage unit at the end of the day, however the original unit that he put me in was not cleared out and so he walked me to a different unit and told me this one would be mine instead.. however he failed to update the system and when I came back to add some new items I found a lock on my unit... Thankfully I told the worker the situation and she removed the lock and updated my account with this unit # - BUT I had to pay $15 and in addition it looks like I lost the Labor Day deal that I originally signed for. Now I'm hoping they're able to fix this problem since again, none of this was my fault.

It's nice and clean but a bit of a pain to get in. The app makes it more difficult because you have to code in to two doors and it doesn't know which one you're at so I find it easier to just manually enter the code. The thing I don't like is you have to code into a second door which is literally a door so you have to swing it open then rush to get into the storage area before it closes on you. My other storage place doesn't do that BUT in a way I can see why it's necessary because there was some homeless people in the bathroom making all sorts of noise which causes me a lot of concern on how they got into the building. If they get into the other door they then have the ability to roam around and potentially break into our units. I'm not a fan on having homeless people coming into a restricted access building. I'll be sure to put another lock on my unit. Update! They now make it nearly impossible to get into your units to get your personal belongings! I believe now you can only access the facility from 0930 - 1730 I believe making it painful. Time to move out! Ridiculous!
Don’t rent here. There has been 5 breaking this month alone. I suspect the people who work here are in on it. The guy who broke into my storage went and hit inside the building right before the sun came up and when he finally came out there was a glare on the camera and you couldn’t see him enough to leave a description. The building is supposed to have a code to enter…
No access to your unit before or after hours
Reduce hours makes for major headaches! Now it costs more to store and you can't get your stuff out! Open late, close early! What a joke!
7½ hour window to access my property (9:30 - 5:00). Unacceptable. After hours access does not work. There's an 800 number for it but it must ring to the empty office. Unable to reach property manager or staff, Unable to reach customer service, long hold times with no answer. Even the chat on the website will say 1 min to connect but I get no reply for over 30 minutes. I've wasted too much time on hold with this company. Also be prepared for frequent rent increases. Rent for my unit doubled in a year. This is not a good long term storage option. Don't let the '$1 first month' advertisement get you. Nobody wants to move their stuff more than they have to and they know that. The staff will be absent and they will increase your rates. This company has really gone downhill over the years and they do not respect their customers time. I'll be removing my property from their care as soon as possible. Also, if you made it this far into my rant... check with your homeowners or renters insurance before agreeing to their insurance. It's overpriced and has a terrible reputation.
Quick update, next day. The property has responded to this review by increasing my rent another $25. Just don't understand how they have as many good reviews but completely absent customer service.
I can’t say enough good things about Ms.Tanya A. She was very busy, and she still greeted all her customers with warmth and enthusiasm. Her personality is amazing! Unfortunately, she did not have the size storage I needed, and the storage hours did not work with my schedule. ( It thought is was 24/7) She referred me to another location that had what I was looking for and she called them to make sure it was available. Ms. Tanya, you deserve 10 stars. But the storage facility only gets 3 stars
If I could give this place no stars that’s what it would get from me. They must have fake reviews on here because the people that I have talked to don’t like it either. Save yourself the stress and find a better cheaper storage facility to go to. This place is not clean, they are rude, and you can find better prices than this. This is your warning, I’m trying to save you the headache

Tanya and Dolly were amazing with helping me get my storage unit at the last minute. Was able to take advantage of the Labor Day discount. Both of these ladies were nice and sweet and very patient with me and my baby.
I've been renting my unit here for a couple years. It's fine overall, until my unit was broken into a few months ago. The storage unit staff implied it was because of the type of locked we used, even though they sold us the lock. I was under the impression that all units were surveillanced, but it turns out there are only cameras on the entrances and street, not the actual units. When I asked them to consult their cameras after the break-in, they said that wasn't possible. I've noticed a few times after the break-in that the gate didn't work / wasn't closing properly.
EDIT: Lowered this review from 2 to 1 star, after my unit was broken into AGAIN. Twice in exactly 3 months. No additional cameras or security was added after the first break-in. Public Storage does not care at all and claims it isn't their responsibility, but these units should not be so easy to break into. I will be getting rid of this storage unit ASAP.

Dollies are hard to find. Prices are competitive, but still expensive - especially when they go up on a regular basis. 3 stars for secure access and clean building.

First day moving in and I get locked out of the building. My unit is open , i ask if I can go up and lock it, I'm told that I need to contact customer service. Yet customer service tells my that they won't help me . Now I have to call in to work because I work at 6am and they don't open till 930am . So I am out a days pay or get my stuff stolen. I will enjoy my 1 month here for a dollar and move somewhere better
Save your time and money, look for a better company.

I had a fairly good experience. I did run into some minor issues, but nothing too serious! I was able to reserve my storage with no hassle, and my move-out was just as easy. Would recommend and would possibly come back in the future : )

Dollies are always locked in the office. I've been by at various times throughout the week and no one ever seems to be there to access them.
We were helped by Ali. He was extremely personable, knowledgeable about all the different kinds of units, and helped us get one in a timely fashion. The best service I've ever had at a storage facility, bar none. Ali if you read this thank you for your help!!

I am new to public storage,but I do like,it better than I thought,the prices are good,and the people are super nice:) I'm hoping they get get the restroom fixed soon but I'm pleased with all the things I can store here,and also can come in early in the morning,kinda sad there no electrical outlets but I guess you can't have it all,?:)

High security but employees are not the most pleasant and they lock your storage from you for the most weirdest and dumbest reason sometimes and it's a struggle to get them to unlock it

They raised my rates so I gave my notice to move. I stopped by the office just to see if they would work with me and yes they did! Their keeping the same lower rate for at least the next 3 months. Since I'm moving to a farm in 3 months thats perfect!! Thank you so much!!
Today was the best customer service I have ever had! Jenapher was truly a blessing. She dedicated her all in helping me out and making sure I was taken care of. She is a gem of the industry. I had alot of anxiety and stress at first, but she made the entire process painless. I highly recommend this location! Thank you Jenapher!

I have been with Public Storage I think 4 years going on five I believe....The only person there that I can truly say I have dealt with is Debbie. Debbie always makes her calls to me to make sure that I know the status of my unit, because I dont always pay timely LOL...she is never nasty or demanding in trying to collect money. She has been understanding never has threaten me, always I mean always pleasant to speak to and deal with. I am glad because
of the times we are in right now...customers need understanding right now....THANKS DEBBIE FOR YOUR PROFESSIONALISM!!!! AND KIND HEART.
