I recently visited the Public Storage on Balboa in Van Nuys and had a fantastic experience. Instead of reserving a unit online, I opted to walk in. The whole process was smooth and straightforward. Summer helped me with the rental, and she was awesome! She was friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure all my questions were answered. The rest of the staff was equally helpful and welcoming.
I was shown two different-sized units, and the one we chose was perfect for what I needed. Overall, I had a great experience, and I would definitely recommend this location to anyone looking for a storage solution.

Needing a storage unit not too far from home, I made a reservation at this location. I missed my original appointment due to illness but decided to just walk into this location. I needed to look at the rooms to determine the size i need. The employee on duty was running a one person show, but had everything under control! The employees name is Summer and they went above and beyond to get me the size room i needed, at the best price! They take such pride in their work, and I got amazing customer service! This company has a star employee in Summer! I hope the company recognizes this and gives them a raise and or promotion!

This storage facility has the nerve to request a 5 star review? After having my belongings being put on a list to be auctioned off...without informing me, sending me a letter , nothing? Had i not walked into their office to request a forgotton password, my entire unit would have been gone. Money was exchanging hands when i walked in
The issue was ultimatley handeled , but words of caution if you are thinking of renting space from them.the other thing is their hours ..9am to 6pm. Awful.Staff is ok to your face..if you like " "WHATS UP!????" hollerd at you from behind the desk , if you have a question about your bill , making you instantly feel like youre interrupting and wasting their time .

Horrible service - there’s never any carts available because they’re kept locked up inside the office while the office is locked with no one inside to help. Our unit is not temperature controlled so it’s unbearable during summer months. The prices keep increasing while nearby units are held constant meaning they’re not priced to reflect market value.

This Public Storage location is run “top notch”, the staff like Tyler and Tanya are courteous, knowledgeable and professional and the units are more spacious with high ceilings than most other storage facilities allowing you to stand a 12 ft. Couch on its side freeing up the rest of the space for everything else, and the prices are a value. I came in here on a web special, they do 1st mo. Free when available, and even after a year when my monthly increase a little, my 10’x10’ space is still almost $100 less than I was paying before! They’re very detailed and check to make sure that you renewed to lock up, so it’s safe and secure, and they even recently had a full staff in ti mop and clean and polish the floors, so dust is of little consequence at this location. Also, because of the excellent ventilation and cinderblock construction it stays exceptionally cool in the summer months! I have no idea if it's all public storage facilities, but only having 1 worker on side for half of the day is extremely stupid. and the rest of the day I guess nobody is there because nobody answers the phone, the doors stay locked for hours at at a time, and when you leave a message for the "manager" to call you back, they don't call you back. I have a 10x20 space paying 347, and they want to raise the rent to almost 500 per month, saying that its 'market value' when it's absolutely NOT the case. I price checked units all over LA and right by this unit, and 10x20 units or some even bigger, are still priced below/around my current rate of 347. no valid reason to increase the rent by over $100 other than they take advantage of situations. they know full well that most people don't have the ability to move their stuff to another storage facility or even to a different unit within the same facility. then saying its 'market value' would make much more sense if I wouldn't find other 10x20 units for less than $300 3 miles away from the current facility. overall, this place is a joke. and the outdoor units are horrible and let in so much dust that you stuff will be COVERED in dirt and dust even if you don't ever open the door. again, this place is a joke and youre better off using literally any other company. most of these reviews are also paid and fake, so don't let their high rating fool you. horrible.

This Facility is one of the friendliest and cleanest storage facility I have ever experienced, dust free, and the cinder block construction combined with plenty of ventilation fans above keep this location cool in the summer! It almost feels like it is air conditioned! They have plenty of carts (all in good shape) available without having to leave your drivers license to get a key! The elevators are large enough to hold two carts and are tall. The staff is friendly and professional, Whether it's jovial Tyler, behind the counter, property mgr. Jose or regional mgr. Kim, all are all super courteous and professorial and always endeavor to address your questions and concerns! The access access hours are good as you can access your storage as early as 6 AM -6 pm weekdays and the property is completely safe and secure and the restroom is CLEAN! Tyler, was really helpful by answering all my questions and concerns in great details. My only feedback would be to have a secondary code system inside the elevator for people who have trouble with the 20 second activation security system.
Careful when storing your stuff here without insurance. There is an insider breaking locks and stealing stuff on your storage! Stole hundreds of $ worth of stuff.

Not too satisfied w/your service. I registered w/your company less than 6 months & all of the sudden I get an increased of 40% monthly payment. That's ridiculous, I was expecting 10% at least but not too high. I was told you were the most affordable at the time when I registered & then you turn out completely the differently for me to continue doing business with you. Now I have to end up moving out pretty soon because of your service that ended up being a great disappointment. Thx anyways at least for keeping me for 5 months special that you gave me at least like catching a fish on a net...very clever but not too smart at the end...😮💨

Muy mal servicio por parte de la trabajadora y su ayudante que era otra mujer que estaban elaborando el Viernes 17... Por desgracia me quedé sin batería y las señoras al pasar dónde estaba, les pedí ayuda y la única respuesta que tuve de una ellas, fue que cerrará el cofre delantero porque parecía que estaba haciendo mecánica . Y a esa misma señora le pedí favor que si me pasaba carga de su carro porque ya tenía 3hrs y me dijo que no porque que según ella se le podía apagar su carro... Se muy bien que no es su obligación pero uno como cliente del lugar, la atención hacia uno debe de ser más profesional pero lamentablemente entre latinos no hay mucho apoyo... Pasando las 3 hrs llegó un señor ( Aglosajon ) que al mirar que necesitaba ayuda se acercó ayudarme sin ningún problema...!!!

I have been a tenant of this location for over 12 years and although there have been a few changes over the years the staff has always been extremely helpful. One person in particular, despite only seeing them about once every couple months, I'd like to recognize and that is the manager Rubia. I honestly can't say enough good things about her as she has always been so kind to me over the years. Despite what my day has been like, or even how crazy her day has been, she has always greeted me with a smile and been so incredibly helpful and sweet over the years. I know there's probably a dozen other storage places within a few miles but knowing she's there to always help is worth it to me. :-)

Hours to access are very short. Constantly feel like a criminal every time I go pick something up and told if I’m not gone in 5min they will call the police.
Worked retail for years and never threatened to call the police because someone showed up right before close.
Thought this would be a convenient place to keep some stuff while we moved. Very very wrong. Can’t wait to move my stuff out of this place.
