Very confusing finding your way around, elevator wasn’t working so walking up 3 flights to move stuff into my unit is crazy. Not to mention the lack of security AND lighting. Lightbulbs in the storage but no way to turn it on, and somebody physically has to move in the hallway just to activate the hall light which only stays on for a couple of minutes or so it seems until it shuts off again so it’s a hassle, especially if you’re by yourself because you’re gonna have to keep stepping into the hallway to activate a light for just a couple minutes not to mention you don’t feel very safe in there because it’s very secluded,confusing to navigate, and if you’re by yourself, you really need to be aware of your surroundings because it’s very big and secluded. Definitely gave me “the shining vibes”. On a positive note the storage is clean and well maintained appearance wise.

AMAZING TEAM and Service! The rates are fair for the market. The facility is clean. I would like to mention just how amazing the manager Julia Stewart is. As many people know moving and storage can be stressful. When I put many of my things in storage, I had accidently left a blue gym bag out in front. I didnt event realize it was missing (yet). When I came back in a couple months, Julie walks out and says "I have been waiting for you to get this back to you." Seriously that's amazing. So thoughtful and kind. Thank you Julia! Also I have to mention Julia's team as everyone there is quite friendly and very responsive.

Hoping not everyone needs a storage unit but if you do give this place your first try. You can pretty much expect, well chances are they have the unit you need. Added to that you'll meet two of the most helpful and informed ladies in the storage unit business and they do it with a genuine smile. I've been with them 2 yrs and I'm still greeted with the same kind smile. Storage is what it is... These two make it a better experience.

My daughter and I began storage shopping last week and were so happy that we found this place at 3033 Lafayette Strett in Santa Clara. The access was a great shortcoming of the last 3 places we stored at, but this location allows access until 9pm, great for after work access. Their staff Julia was so helpful, friendly, and efficient that we probably would have rented even if we didn't like it as much as we did. The only negative at this point was an aggressive lady that we ran into yesterday evening as we took our last two loads in. This woman also rents there and wouldn't leave us alone until my daughter threatened to call the police.

We have been loyal customers to this public storage for I want to say over 2 years now and have never had an issue...it has been a while since we have had to come to the office but we recently received an increase in rate and came down to speak to someone from the office to possibly downsize. Luckily we met with Julia and she was a delight to talk to, very good sense of humor and very helpful. She put in a request for us to possibly get a rental decrease while we figure out if we do indeed want to downsize or just keep the spot we have. She didnt guarantee us that it would be approved but personally called us several hours later to confirm we had gotten approved! She definitely went above and beyond to help us and we truly appreciate it.

We’ve had a good experience with the 881 Duane avenue location. Good service from Julia, good hours, no crime issues. Avoid the Lenfest location in San Jose. That one has gaps at the top of the units that thieves can climb through.

Public storage is public storage this one is a little bit small compared to the unit advertisement size and you should be careful because any public storage is allowing to increase the rent for unit's that you have for a long time without any notice
