TERRIBLE TERRIBLE LOCATION. Claims to be climate controlled but is hot most the time. Leaks from the roof. 3 carts that always get lost. Constantly waiting an hour just for a cart. Overpriced storage facilities. Don’t waste your time here.

I can't say enough good about this particular public storage. In December 2023 I was desperate for storage. I overestimated what would fit in my apartment and only had a few hours to find a solution before I needed to return the moving van. Susanna, the manager was totally amazing, compassionate and got me fixed up on record time. When I left today, as I have moved to Arizona she was there with warm wishes and a smile and genuine caring send off. Thank you!

The MacArthur location is incredibly well maintained, and Susanna is HANDS DOWN the best customer service rep I've worked with in...I have no idea how long. Seriously, as long as she's running this location, my unit would be cheap at twice the price!

Price hikes are excessive. My unit is now more than double what they rent current similar units for.
I've been a customer here about 4 years. 10x15 unit.
--Initial price with insurance was $233.
--9 months later increased to $255.
--12 months later $291.
--12 months later $393. Prices online at that point significantly less.
--I ask if they can do anything, they brought the price back to $291.
--3 months later, the price hikes back to $393.
--6 months later it hiked to $467. Prices online about half. I ask if they can do anything, they decline.
--Prices online today for similar 10x15 unit, $219 with insurance.
I finally just booked one of the online units for $219 and will physically move my stuff from one unit, down the hall, to the other. I asked if there was a way to avoid going through this exercise and just give me the price that they are currently asking for rentals, and they said they could reduce my rate down to $375 but no more.
Periodic price hikes are one thing, but for them to get to the point where the unit of someone who has been around for 4 years is more than double the price of a similar unit currently online is horrible.
Facility itself is fine and the individual people working there are nice, which is why it doesn't get 1 star, but the pricing practices are a just a bad way to treat customers.
Susanna, who manages the Public Storage located at 4501 MacArthur in Santa Ana, CA recently provided me with efficient and excellent service, when I needed a solution to a storage problem. She is very friendly and knowledgable, and supplied all the right answers at the right time.
I hope Public Storage rewards its employees with holiday bonuses, because this young lady surely qualfies for one. She rocks!

My husband and I have never utilized a storage facility, we researched and researched and chose the MacArthur Blvd location because of the people who manage it. From the minute we walked in, David held our hand through the entire process, he is a consummate professional, so very personable, and incredibly thorough. Our unit move in went smoothly, he went through every step with us, we had not one ounce of stress.
I went to several PS locations, David and Kent made this one the stand out. Don’t bother looking anywhere else.

I just want to say that I'm very satisfied with this place, it has a very excellent customer service. the manager Mr.Kent it's very professional and very polite with all the customers, when you have a question or need help in something, he always help you to resolve it right away. The place is always very cleand and secure, I highly recommend this storage place at this location.

I’m very pleased with this location, especially with Kent, one of the guys that works here! I’ve had a few storages in the past, but I usually always had the same type of experience with them, I felt like I was just another customer. Today Kent made me feel like I actually mattered, and that they really do appreciate my business. I was getting ready to move to a different location because it would’ve been a bit cheaper, and I had let Kent know that, and solely because of his exceptional customer service and such a positive attitude I decided I would stay with this public storage location. Certainly, the facility itself, being located near the 405, Harbor, and MacArthur, is very convenient. And it's clean and very well organized, spotless even. But it's the service and support that Kent provided that has really sold us on this Public Storage location. With so many Orange County storage locations to choose from, I'm really glad we chose this one.

BE CAREFUL Scam and very bad customer service .. My truck parked there for two days and lost 2000$ worth of stolen tools I had to move out and they refused to refund me or to check security cameras so I had to move out and they still charged me a huge amount and send me to a collection agency that seems to be working from out of the country and risk compromising my personal information. I tried many times contacting storage manager and corporate office millions times till I got someone to answer me and I only got fake promises

Kent the property manager has helped me with 2 significant issues at the facility. Went beyond the call. Has made my RV storage experience wonderful.
Decided to find storage in OC as it was cheaper. Looked at all my options and very happy with choice. Clean, great staff, and easy access from freeway. The only downside is there is limited parking to unload and only 2 carts for whole facility.
Just moved in here from a different place and am very happy! Kent walked us through the sign up process and got us a great spot. Much happier now.

I rented at this location for nearly six years and had a wonderful experience! The property is very spacious and clean, but above all, the customer service is amazing. I originally chose this location because it was climate-controlled, conveniently located near the freeway, and I got a great deal by booking online. I was very happy renting here, but I moved to south OC a few years back and wanted to have my storage closer to home. When I was moving out, the manager, Kent went above and beyond to make sure my move-out process was smooth and was very accommodating! Although my new storage is closer to home, it is not near as nice as this location and has much shorter access hours. We will miss coming here for our storage. Highly recommended!!

Kent is a hard working man. He tried 4 different types to install new bulbs in my unit but one is not working proper. He didn’t give up. He is friendly and most helpful to put in a work or to get it fixed.

Do not park a vehicle in their secured lot!! We were traveling from Wisconsin to California and needed to keep our teardrop camper in a secured location for a couple of weeks. Came back to find $2000 worth of equipment stolen. They jimmied the window and opened the door. We had a side tent that I spent hours sewing and customizing that will be of no use to anyone. They also stole the Thule Dockslides for our kayaks, but the base is on the teardrop so they will be of no use to anyone either. It is simple to see it was an inside job. Who steals from people with your own interests??!! Google reviews were very good at this place. But going on Yelp is a different story and explains what is really going on here. We called police twice during the day and never came. I suspect they are tired of coming to this place. We also never heard back from management after many calls. I wish I would have checked ALL reviewing places. I would have never put it there.

I ran into this public storage location with my mother-in-law last minute and he took the time to explain everything to us and he even walked us to the unit to make sure we knew where everything was and how to access things easily. Now a days with everything going on globally, people/companies seem to not have the time and/or staffing to really give people great customer service but Kent took his time and really made us feel special; it means a lot in today's world. Kent Powell is very professional, friendly, and dedicated to working with the customer until they solve their storage problems. When I lost the key to the second lock on my unit he came up with an excellent solution, implemented it immediately, and called me the same day to let me know the problem was solved. This facility is very clean, well lit, and Kent and his staff are consistently friendly and helpful. Highly recommend. Just wish the prices would stop going up :)) Thank you Kent and staff.
