I have rented at this Public Storage location for many years, and I must say that the on site manager Kumar has provided me with exceptional customer care for years now. He takes wonderful care of the property, keeping it clean, looked after and secure, giving me confidence that my things are being well cared for. He is a great communicator and whenever I need anything he responds to any questions or concerns with prompt, caring and timely communication and help. When my keys were stolen and I needed the lock cut off my unit, he was extremely helpful and made it as positive an experience as possible. He brings a special warmth and genuine care that makes it a joy to see him and work with him, which is a really huge blessing when it comes to where you store your belongings. I am deeply grateful! Thank you Kumar and thank you Public Storage!

No one is ever in the office, they run their own hours here and apparently the office opens and closes whenever they want it to when online it says open til 9pm. They are closed on Mondays but online it says they’re open, the office has its own hours but it is not posted anywhere at the location or online smh Don’t waste your money here it’s obvious they dnt want your business👎🏽👎🏽

He has amazing 5-star service. Kumar is a sweet man, and he handled our reservation when he was about to leave. We came twice - once for boxes and then for our car, and everything was seamless. Kumar is kind, funny, and gives quick and clear service! This location checks all the boxes for a great experience. Update after 1 year of usage, 5/30/2024: I'm sorry, I didn't want to leave this review, but we were played during the duration of a year we were out-of-state and our things were in this storage. A small unit was $71 when we initially received it last June. Now the price is $117. And our unit for our vehicle (that obviously can't travel with) started at $258 monthly and now it's at $466!!!!! (And would've been over $500 in the upcoming months.) Despite the fact that Kumar informed us that the price of the unit would be the same every month (even did the math for us to calculate for a year we'd be using it)... we let it go and chalked it up to inflation. What really set it off wasn't the inconvenient fact that they were required 30-60 days in advance to "set up" move out and pay egregious move out fees. No, the WORST part was when we set up the move out date, NO ONE told us that it'd have to be at the end of the month or we'd be charged for an additional month even if we will not be using it. For context, we will be retrieving our vehicle on the 2nd of the month. But since it's not the end of the month, we are forced to pay an additional $500 to move out and pay for a unit we will not be using. Why weren't we informed at least about this policy, so that we could make arrangements to come sooner? It's classless, tasteless, and malicious. If you do decide on Public Storage, remember to ask about all of the fees. Be cautious. We were price-gouged and misled. It's unfortunate and should never have happened. Whether this is a company policy is irrelevant because Kumar chose not to inform us and pocket the extra money. We told him a month in advance about our desire to move our vehicle, and he chose to withhold that information. So buyers beware. By the way, Kumar asks people to review his franchise the day of service so most if not all of these reviews (mine included) are without experience. Do not be fooled. Once again, be cautious.

The staff at the San Leandro location on Washington Avenue are super helpful. Five stars for Kumar!!! My assistant hasn’t stopped talking about how helpful he was to us, as we were working to empty my storage unit before the next billing. She and some of her family members also rent storage units at other locations, and she said he’s the most helpful employee she’s ever met at Public Storage - or any of the many other storage companies her family has rented from over the years. Go Kumar :-) Public Storage, this man deserves a raise!

My husband made the recommendation to get a storage unit since all my personal business items were a little to much for our house. I began with some research online and found myself a nice 5X5 unit, I made a reservation online to take a look at it. Kumar the representative gave me a call a little while later to confirm the reservation. (loved the quick follow up). I managed to go in person to take a look at the unit and Kumar was very helpful in finding a unit that fit my budget. he showed me a 5X5 then after some conversation we found that too small. He also showed us a 8X10 and 5X10. We ended up on a 10X10 because that fit my needs after some recommendation from him. I really appreciate Kumar going out of his way to show me different units and helping me find the best one for my needs. I would definitely recommend getting a storage unit from here and speaking to Kumar. 10/10 EXPERIENCE.

This public storage location is one of the best I’ve ever rented a storage space from! Not only is Kumar and the staff amazing and so helpful, they made our registration and move in process a breeze! The customer service alone is outstanding and the facility is super easy to navigate and very clean. I’d recommend it this location to anyone looking for storage rental space!

This by far is the best Public Storage unit facility. I mean there were others that were great too but this PS location stand out the most to me. I have multiple storage Units in different cities and Kumar the manager at this location goes above and beyond for this client's needs. He is so friendly, very attentive to detail, and I always have great conversations with him. One instance, I had a problem with my code. No one on customer service could fix the problem. I had already left for the day but I left Kumar a message. Within the hour he called back and had already fixed my issue. If you are looking for a clean, safe, and friendly storage unit. I rented a storage unit on 12/12/22 at the Washington Ave. San Leandro facility because my sister passed away; our family decided to store some of her belongings. When I arrived to the facility, I still needed help, the customer service representative Peggy was patient, kind and very helpful to assist me. This really meant a lot to me because my emotions were high not fully understanding the process. She walked me through the app process on my phone to make it easier for me to navigate. I appreciate her level of customer service because I really didn't understand and she was there to assist, thank you Peggy!

This Public Storage is not a good storage, they know how hard the money right now due to the pandemic and they raising their rent from $263.00 to $355.00 a month.

It was sad to see you my stuff is been in storage so long that there was at least a half an inch of dust on my stuff I must start going through it and either getting rid of stuff or get it out of there, it's starting to cost me too much money I put several kids through college paying for that damn thing every month.
