The experience to do a transfer which is to move out my current units to move into a new unit to get my rate back down to a normal rate can be frustrating. BUT! Esther the front desk support and customer service rep made it so much less stressful, found me a unit 4 doors down the same size so makes the move to much easier. Thank you so much Esther! I moved in recently and was given the access code to my unit at 5:30 PM. I was not told that I wouldn't be able to access the elevator after 6 PM. When I called the customer service line at 6:02 PM to let them know that I needed to lock up my unit, the customer service representative was extremely rude and told me that it was impossible for them to do anything about it and that my stuff would be left unlocked all night. I was told that the only thing I could do would be to arrive at 6 AM and hope that no one got to my unit before me to steal my things. I strongly recommend against renting a storage unit from these folks, they do not care about the security of your belongings!

The cheer that Esther extends to the customers at Public Storage --Marin Street in San Francisco is extra-ordinary. In my Christmas time 2023 experience, Esther showed patience, holiday cheer, and great passion for the Public Storage product. This Public Storage (PS) utilizes the PS app, and there's a learning process involved with using the PS app to open the gate and the building. Esther guided me through this process with extreme poise and understanding as I fumbled around with my iPhone. My move-in date occurred a few days before Christmas--December 23rd to be exact--and Esther sported a Christmas stocking cap and showed such cheer that I started to hum the Christmas tune "Deck The Halls" and the line "Fa-la-la-la--la-la" as I moved my belongings into the storage facility unit. During the three hours that I moved in two days before Christmas, Esther and I crossed paths several times. Esther took a moment to explain how Public Storage prides itself in having carts to assist its patrons. In this case, I went to the hallway by the office to claim a cart to scoot to another building and then returned to the original spot. Esther explained that each building should have carts, and it's her job to make sure there's a supply for Public Storage customers. I endorse Public Storage Marin Street in San Francisco for taking care of your storage needs whether for its monthly special or to meet your long-term needs! Continue STEP-ping!

I am so happy I went to this storage place today. I came there by myself with no help and I believe the woman name is Eester (black lady with glasses) she helped me with two huge couches and was able to find help. She went over everything with me and gave me tips and suggestions. I came there so lost and when I left I felt like an expert and felt at ease with the process. Hi manager/manages, give this woman a raise and promotion because she deserves it. She would not take a tip from me so I had to get on here and show her some love.

First day today at this location, the attendant (Esther) was so helpful, she explained everything I have to know about how prosecutors and policies work, I think without her help I’d have been lost all over the place. Wonderful and exceptional customer service l!!!!

I was working on moving to a new unit and she was so helpful with figuring out where the new location was, how much money it was going to cost, and helping me set up everything. She really takes her job seriously and cares about the customer. Definitely recommend reaching out to Esther if you have any problems.

I rented a unit here online without touring the facilities first - big mistake. After making my first visit to move in, I decided to abandon my unit and inquire about a refund, which they denied. Security seems very poor; the unit had a very thin sheetmetal roll-up door that seemed to have been broken into before. The whole door could be moved sideways to bypass the lock. Aside from the sketchy facilities, I was verbally threatened by another renter on my first entry because he was blocking the entrance and one of the employees asked him to move his vehicle. I rented another unit at a different nearby self-storage and am much more satisfied with the facilities and experience.

If you have read any reviews for this place, you've probably read about Esther. She deserves all of the accolades she receives and more. I rented a parking space and was having an issue with the individual who parked next to me who was taking up more than their space. Esther was able to help me resolve the issue and was also a delight to work with. She's super friendly, knowledgable, and all around just a wonderful human. Esther is great! Really great location. I've used this Public Storage for 4 years now, no problems. Whether in-person, online, in the app - all has been seamless. The staff have always been extremely helpful. Esther is particularly excellent. She called me to check details of my move from one storage size to another, then followed up with recommendations of days and times that the place would be least busy, so I'd be able to do what I needed to without having to wait. Wouldn't have expected that extra help, couldn't ask for any more!

Esther is hands-down one of the best service representatives (from any company) that I've ever experienced. I moved in during a torrential downpour, I needed help renting a larger unit last-minute, and my gigantic moving truck caused logistical challenges. Esther deftly helped me resolve my challenges and made the move-in experience as enjoyable as it could have been.

You need to use the app to unlock the gate and activate the elevator which would be fine except the app is slow/laggy.

It might be raining outside but Esther made moving in all sunshine and rainbows. Even though I had all the information about moving in, she was more than happy to walk me all the way to my unit, show me how to open it, and put on the lock. Esther at the Public Storage facility has been extraordinarily helpful to me in the last two days in renting a large storage space and helping me manage the paperwork. I haven't moved in yet, but I've certainly been impressed with the staff and the friendly and efficient organization.
