I intentionally booked 2nd floor with access to the elevator. When I showed up, I had no access to the elevator or building. Instead, they switched me to a unit in the basement with a steep ramp. The employees were extremely rude. I was supposed to pay a $1 for the first month. 2 weeks later I was charged $75. What happened to my move in special of $1 for the first month?

Hi, I just wanted to take a moment to share my personal experience with using Public Storage at 811 Bookman Rd in Elgin, SC. The customer service that we received from Ms. Sheliah was amazing. She was very helpful, patient and knowledgeable to all of our needs and concerns. She made the experience with using the storage unit with this company at this location really great. If you are looking for a great storage facility, you may want to try this one it was very clean and we felt safe leaving our belongings at this facility. I was in a panic today because I couldn't get the gate code box to work. I went to the office and Sipi and Nick helped me figure out what I was doing wrong. They were super helpful and very patient with me, which I really appreciated. They definitely saved the day for me.

ROBBERY! I GOT BROKEN IN!! THEFT! MAY 23 i was notified someone broke into my indoor unit and stole my personal stuff!!! Terrible lock and security system! And of course they refused to share with me video footage or even file a police report. THIS WAS AN INSIDE JOB!!! 100%!!! It took me 10 hours to get hold of someone there to meet me and all they did was move whatever left into another unit!! BEWARE!!! LOCATION 7435 W. Sahara Ave, Las Vegas!
This place was chosen because of convience it literally is across the street from my new apartment and around the corner from where we use to live. There was one small issue with a worker but it has since been resolved.

Just moved location from Public Storage by Pecten Ct/Watson Ct to the one in Dempsey Rd. When I first inquired, I met the manager named Angel. She showed me some units to see how much space I really needed and set it all up for me so I can move in easily. Angel made it a breeze! She was very accommodating and enthusiastic! Loved her vibe while I was inquiring. She also keeps the compound well kept and clean which is really great. My previous public storage wasn’t as clean and the gate was always malfunctioning.
Great location great staff! Was sad when Linda left but the new guy Zack is pretty awesome too!

I met with representative Paul at the Lake Under Hill Public Storage location. Initially, I had a storage space in mind, but after speaking with Paul and obtaining his advice he informed me I wouldn’t need a storage of that size for the amount of items I want to store.

Just rented a unit and Jeff was awesome. Vincent was also helpful and the customer service that was provided was wonderful!! The facility is so clean, the restroom was not only clean but smelled great! Really really happy picking this location for my storage needs.

Went in to get a visual ideal of what the spaces look like and what access would be like. Kahekili was very helpful from the start and gave us a tour of the various storage sizes and locations (on different floors) to find the most ideal storage for our needs. We were able to easily find the perfect one for us and were quickly signed up and paid in a matter of minutes thereafter. The service was excellent! Glad we decided to make a visit today.

It's excellent. Nick at the Arroyo Parkway Pasadena branch is the best representative the company could have! All the information you need is widely provided. And everything you need to do is very easy to manage through the app.
Editing my review: This is a VERY MAJOR NEGATIVE: There is not a single trash can anywhere. I asked Nick and he told me it's because customers used to leave big things in the trash. In a place like this, IT IS MORE THAN OBVIOUS that customers will have things to throw away. The rate (which is not cheap by the way) MUST include at least small trash containers!
I will be waiting for a response to understand this MINUS MINUS which is a normal service for customers anywhere!

Quick and simple process to get a new space set up and ready. Kim in the office was great and made the process that much easier. They offer move-in specials and it is conveniently located in Midtown. Everything is secure and seems very safe and the property seemed very clean and in good working order. I like the app option as well.
Property Managers Kathleen and Kym give thorough courteous professional care to the customers. I was once called to let me know that I had improperly placed the lock on my unit which could lead to my unit being opened which means they are monitoring the security of my unit. I am a happy customer !

I want to tell everyone I can about my move-in cause I know how crazy and hard some of the storage places can make things. But, I Had a great move-in. Shirley at the Dallas, texas Harry Hines location made my move in fast, easy, and pleasant. When you have spent the day moving and running around and having a hectic day and you walk in greeted with a friendly smile and a person so willing to go above and beyond it makes everything so much better.
Doing my move in time I probably crossed her path 3 or 4 times and each time I got a nice present smile. Thank you for employing people of this character.

They sold my unit, but the worst part is the manager didn’t get in contact with the buyer to return all of my documents and photos. Since I am out of the country, I called everyday and left messages for three weeks and he never answered the phone to help me get my things. Why is he working there? He should be fired.

In the office at this location they gave me information about the pricing that led me to agree to purchase storage with them. The next thing I know I’m being billed a different amount, which of course is a higher amount. They will take absolutely no responsibility for them providing inaccurate bad information about the pricing of the storage units to me to get me to sign up. so I have to bear the burden of their incompetency and misinformation. So you have to question the truthfulness of what you’re being told especially when it comes to pricing or else you will end up in the same boat as me. No integrity at all. If they had integrity, they would provide me with a credit for the difference based on following through with their word that was given to me to sell me on the unit, to get me to sign up. So it’s essentially a bait and switch. Give me one set of information and then switch after I moved in and signed on the dotted line. Buyer beware!

Have rented here twice before with no issues and good service. So when I needed to rent for a third time it was an easy decision to do so with Public Storage. Rachel made the sign up process easy and quick and I expect this time around to be as uneventful as the previous two. And uneventful at your storage unit is what you want.
The night before renting a 10 x 10 rental unit at the Public Storage branch located at 7920 Deering Ave in Canoga Park, CA I ran into a glitch using the online Public Storage unit booking software. Then the following morning I called the corporate division to discuss the glitch but my call was transferred to four different department associates and 3 of the associates understood the glitch but could not do anything resulting with my time being wasted. The 4th associate helped me as much as he could but could not proceed further due to his hands being tied by corporate policy so he suggested I speak with the Deering onsite manger. I drove to the Deering branch and spoke with the manger and her name is Lluri. I explained the glitch to Lluri and within minutes she acknowledged the glitch, understood the glitch, did not make any corporate robotic excuses regarding the glitch and then without hesitation she offered to show me two different 10 x 10 units and also offered to lower the monthly rental cost but the best part is she did not have to call the Public Storage corporate division to ask for approval. It's extremely rare I make time to write a review because I'm very busy and also unfortunate the criteria of the Public Storage review software is "Limited" to a 5 Stars positive ranking criteria because the quality of Lluri's professionalism ranks 10 of those Stars.

3108 Northern Blvd Long Island City Ny This storage does false advertising. They are not climate controlled. They keep it at a consistent 82 degrees Fahrenheit when other storages have their temperature at around 70- 75 degrees Fahrenheit. I nearly passed out on move in day from how hot the facility is. I store clothing and sell online and some of the clothing has developed mold and damage due to the high temperature and humidity. If I am going to be paying $400 a month for a unit I would expect air conditioner and proper cooling. I noticed a pile of trash and debris that was not disposed of for two weeks. There are rat traps everywhere for the mice and rat infestation. I saw a rat scampering across the grated cieling part of the unit. I'm afraid they may damage the clothes. If the temperature does not drop to 75 degrees and the rat problem gets addressed I am leaving. Stop the false advertising these units are NOT climate controlled.

FAAAAKE 5-star reviews- Check out the “people” reviewing and notice theyve only left ONE review and are constantly naming DIFFERENT “employees” who allegedly hwlped them. These employees dont exist. This location has, like, three people on their payroll.
Now, for mine…. Buyer beware; as the other reviewer mentioned there are lots of hidden fees. Scary slow elevators that leave you wondering whether or not youre actually stuck. Horrible people constantly blocking gates. No garbage cans to throw any type of rubbish into. Monthly billing makes no sense. Sketchy at best.
I am between homes right now and needed a place so store my belongings in the interim. Ebony at Public Storage property 00126 on State Rd 82 made that task simple and easy. She is polite, professional, knowledgeable and very informative. The application was quick and uncomplicated. I am also very pleased with the condition and cleanliness of the facility. I went to reserve a unit online and decided to wait on signing for the unit until I could see it in person. I'm glad I did because Evan, who was working that day, was able to show me different units to help fit my needs. Evan was very courteous and answered all of my questions. The units we saw were all clean and the facility was well kept. Definitely feel good about this decision as a first-time storage renter. Thanks Evan!

Larry at Public Storage on Hillsboro blvd in Deerfield Beach, FL couldn’t have been more welcoming! He cheerfully greeted me and was extremely helpful. He took the time to be sure i had selected the correct size unit (i had selected on-line) for my needs. Since i was uncertain - he was eager to show me the actual and other comparable units. He even helped me solve the puzzle of fitting my specific items in the space! Larry then clearly explained all the “legalese” in the contracts, showed me how to work the gate & off I went ! The experience was 5 star & he is a stellar representation of Public Storage. Thank you Larry!
I went online and reserved a 12’x25’ shed (300sq ft) for a monthly rate of $236. When I came to the office the next day I was told that unit was rented out earlier in the day, so it seems getting a reservation doesn’t mean they will actually reserve it for you, you’ll get that price if they didn’t happen to have already rented it before you got there.
I was then told the next closest unit would be a 10’x25’ (250sq ft) for a monthly rate of $256. So less space for more money per month. Kind of felt like a “Bait & Switch”.

Nathaniel is the best! He treats everyone as if they are the most important thing about his day. The grounds are always spotless and he goes the extra mile to make sure you feel welcome and have all your questions answered. This is my family’s second experience in the last 4 years renting a unit at this location and Nathaniel has been wonderful to deal with both times.

Called and got a reservation for a unit and they looked up what specials they had in the area. Went in after reserving a unit, had Crystal show me the unit and sign the paperwork all within a few mins. Super easy and simple and broken down for you to understand.
Omar was fantastic. Very helpful, knowledgeable, and patient. He answered all our questions and showed us the unit on 2 different occasions (to quell our anxiety) before eventually renting it to us. He is an asset to Public Storage for sure. Thanks Omar
I made a reservation on a Sunday for Wednesday. I got about 5 calls with 2 voicemails asking that I needed to call back to confirm my reservation. I called back on Monday and a representative told me I needed to go to the store to ensure my reservation, even though I had replied on a text message "confirm". I was there on Monday and the nice ladies told me my reservation was good to go for Wednesday and I could come back on that day. I could also finish my registration online but due system issues I wasn't able to do so. Therefore an online agent said I had to go to the store and finish it. It's Wednesday morning and the place was closed for 2 hours. I had to make a second trip coming back to complete my rental. I was not notified of the circumstances. On top of this I couldn't get the promotion because they told me a relative had previously used this service under the same address. I was told it's only one person per household. Again I wasn't notified by anyone about this. On top of this the app isn't working. The only thing that's good about this storage company is the customer service. They apologized all the way to end for all the trouble.
I worked with Rachael who was a very big help to me in getting a second storage unit. She was knowledgeable, patient and friendly.
I also want to mention that Cornell was really kind and pleasant when I called and more than willing to help me navigate the Elevator when i came out.

I DO NOT recommend!! My stuff has been in storage less than 30 days and the property manager changed the locks without notifying me. Not only did he change the lock that I bought from them for $20 but he also accessed my unit without my permission. I’m still waiting on a call back from them. They are super unprofessional!!

Tammy was my ray of sunshine today. I'd had challenges paying for my reservation online but when I went to the office to pay, Tammy was so helpful and kind through the whole process that it was as if my earlier challenges hadn't happened. She even made me aware of an offer that reduced my bill. She was very professional and walked me through how to enter the facility down to every detail (operating the lock, for example - not as straightforward as you might imagine). The whole building was impeccably clean. You should use Public Storage just to experience the Tammy love.
James was very professional and very easy to talk with for any questions we had on the new sign up on the unit. He took the time to go over everything and has great customer service.

Nadia was a dream to work with!!!! I have been pulled like saltwater taffy for the last 2 months with going through a divorce, trying to sell my house, find a new place to live, pack everything up, and find a place to store thing I will need later that I don’t want to get rid of, but don’t have room for in my new place. I had a reservation for a unit to rent but when I came in to pay for it - it was gone!!! Nadia helped me take the hassle and the HEADACHE out of locating me another unit that was perfect for my needs at the price I could afford…. And it was even better than the one I originally reserved!!! I have been with this company for 6+ years and it is because of the fantastic customer service of their employees, like Nadia, that keep me here year after year.

The facility is old and needs upgrades and repairs but there's no longer a racist in charge going out of her way to make me miserable. Nick has a genuinely positive vibe.

The ENTIRE staff here was phenomenal, bar none. Anna did her first rental with me today, and did a great job persevering through the struggles of learning the system. Well Done! The facility is clean, secure, and very well-maintained. I'd give it 7 out of 5 stars if I could. Two suggestions: the 5x10 units are listed as "1 room" and the 10x10 units are listed as "3 rooms". This is silly and makes my brain hurt. Change the sign to say that 5x10 units are "1.5 rooms" and I'll be happy 😊. Second: the checkout kiosks are obviously wired back to Corporate on the Left Coast. They display in PDT. This facility is in the MDT time zone. That makes the pads show 1 hour earlier than it really is. Brain cramp. FIX IT! Don't trick your customers into being late for an appointment because your programmers were too lazy or stupid to do this right. 😤 Speaking of which, there is a fatal UI/UX design flaw on one of your pages. It displays a screen full of information with no button or other affordance to indicate what the customer needs to do, at all. I only accidentally discovered that I needed to scroll down to see the off-screen "Accept" button. This is criminal level design incompetence. The person who coded this as well as whoever approved the design ALL need to be fired. I'm not saying necessarily that it HAS to be out of a cannon... I'm just saying we should keep all options open until they've been... talked to. 😠
The staff on-site are brilliant and all deserve raises. Corporate needs some major realignment work IMO.

First beware their specials are not really $1 the first month it all prorated plus then for example your have to buy a$15 lock and a $25 one time administration fee and also they throw in a insurance fee about $19 and remember then taxes is added to all of this and now they're raising the rent on all people that have been there 6 and 12 months and in some cases you don't even get a 30 day notice or way less in some cases.Communucation with this location and corporate is not good at all along with the parking lot is a mess sometimes with nails or screws in the parking lot that I have gotten almost in my tires. Suggest they run a metal detector roller/ sweeper over the entire parking lot to correct this matter and remove a 🔥 burned up melted car that is stuck to the asphalt which has been sitting there for months and all the broken glass that was around it that cars had to drive over for weeks or around some of it.Their prices are now more expensive then other places in the area but it is convenient which is good and in a safe and secure part of town.

After reserving my space over the phone with their headquarters I received a call from the manager setting up a time for me to finalize either online or in person. I opted for in person since I was already out. I stopped by where I was greeted and quickly walked through the process of finalizing my space. It was very quick and easy and the unit itself is very clean, felt safe, and exactly what I expected. Extremely happy with my experience here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a storage unit for short or long term!

I’m reviewing the public storage in 630 Laurelwood Santa Clara, CA the manager Craig is so helpful and friendly. I’ll definitely recommend this location safe and clean location.
I was told at the counter of the Walled Lake MI location during sign up that I could not use the $1 first month promotion because the previous owner of my 6 month old home never changed their address with PS. The offer says not available for the same household not same address. Household is defined as the home and the people that live there as a unit. I showed my tax bill on a second visit but was referred to the DM. I tried twice to contact the district manager with no response so far.
Julian was SUPER helpful. Got me all I needed and I was all done with my moving process within an hour. Excellent service and a great attitude too.

Great experience getting a storage unit here. Thanks to Stephanie for walking me through the complex and all the details within the facility. No doubt has a lot of experience and made the process very simple. The only thing that I felt should probably be addressed is the fact that the rental office was freezing cold (colder than outside), which I think is not great for either the customer and specially anyone who has to sit and work a shift in there...maybe something management can look I to fixing.
I dealt with Mary, in the Georgetown location, and I have never had such good service. She was informative, instructional, and made sure I had all of the bases covered! The prices and location were what drew me to this facility, and Mary will be the reason I recommend them to others …

This will be my second time renting a storage unit at this S Military Hwy location in Chesapeake,VA. Getting setup was quick and easy and although I ended up having to rent a unit larger than I thought I would Nancy got me straight and I got a good deal at the same time. The check in process at this location was easy, fast and processed very professionally by Dianna. The location is well maintained and looks modern. I was pleasantly surprised when Dianna called to let me know that the security chain on my trailer was removed (I forgot to put it back and only had my lock). I feel confident that this location is more secure than my prior experience with another storage company where my trailer was broken into. The monthly price is reasonable for the area and I hope that it will remain the case on a long term basis.

needed storage while I was in the army and this public storage branch did a great job keeping my stuffs. Easy access through phone app and shared cart to move stuffs made moving in and out much easier. Had bit of frustration when it came to moving out, but Andrew from the office took care of it wonderfully and at the end of the day everything was good.
I had a great experiences of first renting the storage place at here. Andrew is really helpful and informative on any of my concerns regards to rent a storage place right here. The customer service is important and apparently he did a great job on this!

Shay, the on-site manager in the Forest Park, Georgia business, handled my new account very well a few months ago. This is the Public Storage at 4889 Old Dixie Hwy. Then this week I am moving out of the storage unit. And she did a wonderful job at helping me do that also. She took the time to go over all the details. When someone is efficient both when you are coming to them as a new customer, and also when you are leaving them, that is very good. The best.

Office manager is often out of office and once was with boyfriend and refused to assist with answering when my move out date was. I called to clarify my move out date and was confirmed August 6th was my move out date and I would not be charged for that month. I moved out august 2nd thus although being happy to move out July 31st. I was later charged and after waiting lengthy times on the phone was told my leasing document disclosed this info…in such I saw I was charged for insurance that I had never opted in for…to finish my customer service experience the manager I spoke with stated, “my dad is a lawyer”…sure he’s proud of you as a public storage manager. Awful customer service, hidden fees, and make sure you read the fine print, they are very unforgiving.

I’ve been in my unit at this location for three months and just got an email increasing my monthly rent by 25%. They get you in with a low rent and then increase it almost immediately. Wonderful company.

Vivi at the front desk was very rude laughed in my face when I asked her if there was a better time to unload my belongings since they had no carts available. This is the 3rd time this week I have tried to unload into my unit, the elevator is broken and I did not have help, I was by my self trying to use the storage unit I paid for. She told me I could ask another customer. Very rude unprofessional laughed in my face when I asked if that’s the extent of her customer service. Do not rent here unless you want to waste your money not being able to use your unit you pay for not being able to load because the elevator is broken. Good luck!
Lilly at this janitell location is great! She was SO patient and knowledgeable in helping me decide which size/unit to go with. She was professional and nice, didn’t make me feel like a bother, so for good customer service and the drive in indoor space is why I’m at this location. Some of the units are a bit stained it seems from when the storage building was under a different company, but I’m sure public storage does their best to clean it when people from previous company move out of the units to get it ready for future renters… 😃

We made a reservation for 2pm. When we arrived there were already 2 other people waiting. There was no employee on site. We called multiple numbers to speak with someone & no one answered. We waited 37 minutes for Nancy to arrive. She was the only good part of the experience. They also only had 1 cart available and that was nowhere to be found.

It is a very spotless, clean and climate controled facility. It was a breeze filling out the contract forms with the help of Debbie at Public Storage on 1650 Pima Road. She also was very helpful in showing us how to get to our unit by using the coded entry pads and all the other information we needed to enter and exit our storage. It was a pleasurable experence.

Sunny checked me in, helped make sure I had a lock that would work (I didn't). She shared options and suggestions for locks. She helped me get set up to use the app. The unit was clean and felt secure. I noted that you could purchase their lock and attach two additional locks if you felt the need.
Happy we decided to check this storage place out. Met Tim who was at the front desk. He was very professional, pleasant and knowledgeable. Walked us through the whole procedure on where to park our truck, how to get to our storage unit. Over all very satisfied.
We decided to walk into the office of the South Ridge location because we had free time, and needed a storage unit that day to start moving out things into. Sharon was so helpful! She showed us a unit so that we could reference the size, and she helped us learn what different options that were available. Once we decided on a 10x10 storage unit she helped us find the best option cost wise. Sharon was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and all around wonderful! I have never rented a storage space prior to this, and she facilitated the whole experience wonderfully. I would recommend anyone who has storage needs to go speak to Sharon at Public Storage!

Me and my girlfriend were looking for a storage place close to our residential address. We found one public storage site by Tully road across from Eastridge Mall. We walked in to the office and was greeted by Lily with a friendly smile. We weren’t sure what storage size we need so she showed and explained to us the different available storage at the time. We picked the 5’ x 10’ and showed us the unit location on the 2nd floor which is easy and convenient access from the elevator. Upon arriving on the property to look upon the unit I'm about to move into. I was greeted with my two nephews age 21, and 4 years old. A polite lady by the name of Ms.Rita greeted us with open arms. She directed us to the location of the unit. It was a bit cramp, but durable with enough space to put in my personal belongings. Upon returning to the office to complete the paperwork, and payment information.
My youngest nephew age 4 needed to use the restroom, but I believing maybe he can hold it until we reach a large establishment store. Being only 4 I can't expect his tolerance of not wetting himself. So I asked Ms. Rita if there's a public restroom we can use , which she gladly gave the location to unlock the door to let my nephew in. Once again thank you Ms. Rita for being understanding, and kind.

Rented a small unit on the 31st. Went to move in on the first of the next month and they put their own lock on. Had to get them to remove it, and the phone number takes you to an off site location. Also, they were not helpful in getting you a good price (online pricing is usually better).
I was met with professionalism and a smile. Akena and her coworker are a joy! They greeted each customer by name, and each of those customers were equally happy to see them. (I do not remember the name of the other lady) My transaction was seamless, and I am a satisfied customer. Thank you ladies!
