Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 25131 Costeau St, Laguna Hills, CA

On a positive note, we’ve had storage here for over a year and never had any rodents, water damage, etc. So this is good news. The reason for the lower rating is they will hike your prices with virtually no notice, about 30 days notice. Our rates nearly doubled the first year. Also, their access hours are shorter than industry standard. Just about every other storage facility in the area opens at 8 AM and you cannot access your unit until 9:30 AM here. Plus, they are always closed by dark, either 5 or 6 PM. For the premium price, it would certainly be nice to have longer hours, starting earlier in the day, and evenings during the summer when it’s daylight until after 8 PM. Overall, decent place, but be cognizant that your introductory price is truly introductory so unless you can lock them into a longer-term contract, expect increased prices, somewhat dramatic, quickly.

I just recently downsized and have been in the market for a storage unit. I came in to this location and spoke with Brianna and Ashley. They are AMAZING! They were incredibly helpful in showing me the different space options and helping me figure out what would work for me and my belongings. Highly recommend calling to speak with either of them if you’re in the market for a new storage unit.

Amazing staff easy access And very secure. When I run it out of place here then play knew that I was racing against the clock because they closed at 6 and she stayed open for an extra 15 minutes to allow me to get the last of my stuff put into my storage unit

5 Star Review for Miguel & Ashley. They both went out of their way and answered every question I had in regards to the space. They also advised me on helping me chose a moving company that was in reach with my budget. Miguel made the rental process extremely quick and easy. The facility is very clean compared to other facilities I have seen. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for someone to have a storage with. Great job.

Public storage is a storage scam. They force the customer to sign a month to month contract but also raise rent every month. I pay almost $200 for an5×5 unit (one of the smallest units available.) I planned to move stuff out today, and they said, "Too bad we already have your money so you have to do it at the end of the month." Any other landlord would say,"we will prorated your 2 days this month with us and refund you the rest." Not them. I will NEVER patronize Public Storage again. They raise rent exorbitantly for people on fixed incomes as well, like my parents who live in LW. They are a total rip-off...Additionally, my storage unit lock was broken into last year. They have no security features like cameras installed so were unable to tell me how this happened nor able to implicate the person/people responsible (my unit is inside a building so security should be a no- brainer.) My things are not secure, yet I am paying outrageous costs for rent. Storage units and thus personal propery is not safe in this location.

Good storage place. Always see deals on storage. We had 2 units 10x15 for a couple of months and had no issues.

Storage was great for the time I had it! Easy move in and move out. Lee made sure the experience was smooth.

I did everything online for my rental. When I got there the 1st day I had a few questions that they answered. They called a week later to see if everything was good and it was.

Ashley is an amazing, hardworking young lady. Today 1/12/23, there was some sort of black out at facility on Cousteau and to see her in action fascilitating this emergency. She was checking every area as well as her knowledge on opening main gate manually in order to get us the customers out safely. She is an asset and I commend her for consistently being attentive to her job every time I have been there and today she just blew me away with all she was doing to get the job done!. Wanted to especially note the great customer support provided by both Ashley and Rafael. Each were so friendly and attentive to my questions. Thank you both for making this transaction so positive from other calls and visits I made to other storage companies today.

They obviously offer some sort of incentive to have customers give a positive review. This place was terrible when I rented here, and 95% of the good reviews are fairly recent. It sure looks nice from the street now, but remember that this place caught fire a few years ago and they did SQUAT to help those of us who were impacted by said fire.

Big thank you to Miguel for helping me find the perfect unit for my needs. I had in mind a larger unit but after explaining what I needed to put in storage he recommended a smaller unit that was substantially cheaper and even better it had a first month free rent. Score! Thanks to Ashley too for showing me around and giving me all the tips. Who knew that you can open the security gate with an app! And thanks to Rafael!
