Depends on what manager you get, the female manager never answers the phone or returns calls doesn’t matter if you’ve been stuck waiting for 30 minutes for the elevator to come up because the people downstairs are keeping the elevator door open. The bathrooms basically never work which sucks after moving stuff into the storage all sweaty and whatnot. They placed the pin pad to put your code to open the gate in the most inconvenient place possible, but the dude manager is attentive and checks up on people and answers the phone. And the hours to access the place suck, they open late and close early around hours that most people are at work so consider that when looking into if this is the best option for you. Parking also sucks btw the lady asked me to park in front of the storage units on the first floor to not be in the way of traffic but then I had a lady mad at me that she couldn’t get to her unit so that set up is like weird a little weird. Anyway look at pictures see if you’re prepared to carry heavy things down some stairs if you’re unlucky enough to be stuck like I was with no help and no phone. And yeah good luck.

OMG!! Jasmine is such a life saver!! I was so worried about how I would get my rv in at the Inglewood location. She walked me step by step through the online check in process and made sure that I had the safest space for my rv and the other vehicles. Words can’t express how much I needed her over and beyond support. I was having a really bad day but she definitely sent that rainbow after the rain for me with her help. Thank you sooo much!!!

I just rented a second larger unit here and Jasmine was exceptionally helpful—not to mention kind and affable— in not just setting up my account, explaining about the changes to the rental agmnt, why insurance is now $15/mo., showing me the new unit, etc., but she also did all she could to link my 2 accounts here with my other account up at Barry & Olympic Blvd. it slip was required, but her natural helpfulness, pleasantness, good humor, professional demeanor, and efficiency was admirable.
Diamond has delivered the best customer service you can receive on today. The service was outstanding and her attitude was the best. I recommend this to anyone who needs to come to public storage. OK.

This place is secured but that security is defined by police harassment and illegal surveillance once you arrive. The street behind the storage building (that dead-ends) is a known police tactical stagging area. If you park anywhere near there you will be approached or they will take pictures of you for later investigating. It's wrong and none are concerned about it. Avoid this area if you detest cops spying on you.

Self Storage is definitely my new go to for storage! I’ve been an “Extra Space Storage” member for now 10yrs and never have I ever had the opportunity to have access to the entry via an app on my phone. That’s essential with all the technology we have today. Also the process and enrollment was as simple as a phone call, made reservations and the remote staff was very knowledgeable and helpful with my reservations. Then to seal the deal, as I arrived at the location, I met the very vibrant, helpful and friendly “Jasmine” she was enthusiastic and didn’t mind walking me through to explore the different size storages to make my final decision. Once my decision was made I went ahead, made my purchase and am very satisfied to be a proud “Self Storage” member. As for the cleanliness, security and staff I’d say 10/10 definitely recommend. Thanks Jasmine again for your extra steps you got in for me walking the facility “wink wink” 😆

I reserved a unit online and got a quick call the next morning from Jasmine. She was really exceptional on the phone and when I came for a walk-through. I'm a little nervous about the homeless encampment outside but decided to rent here anyway. I'll try to update after a year or so, see how things go.
Update: I’m down rating to 3 stars as I sit here and wait for the place to open. After six months they increased my rent by over 1/3. It’s been a pain scheduling my travels around the limited access hours. The homeless camp mostly hasn’t been a problem thankfully.
Update 1/20: Uprating to 4 stars because the city or county cleared out the homeless camp, which had continued to grow into the street. I would guess that PS played a role advocating for the cleanup.
Love this place! Danielle the customer service rep is top notch! She helped thru getting thru the entire process and helped it go very smoothly! If I could giver her 6 stars I would! Definitely happy moving my stuff here!

Alexandra turned my day around. It was a stressful, last minute move. The unit I booked was not large enough to fit my things. Alexandra listened to my concerns and offered to walk us to other units that would meet our needs. She then assisted patiently to move over the reservation and also helped when we had trouble with the lock. While all these are likely within her job description, Alexandra had a fantastic attitude and was warm and welcoming despite assisting other customers at the same time. Self storage isn’t known to be a customer centric business and I appreciated the white glove service. Thank you!

Do not use public storage they CAN and WILL raise the rate of your rent at ANYTIME . horrible for anyone that is on a strict budget they have raised my rent 100 dollars. I've only been in the unit for 5 months... And after they have you in a lease the staff becomes DRAMATICALLY less helpful lol

They raise the prices without giving enough notice and the LaCienega location is surrounded by homeless encampments, like SERIOUSLY!!! Black widows in my unit and I haven't been there that long.
I can say the staff is extremely nice, very professional. Jasmine is a gem!! Sometimes Public Storage will try to work with you on certain things.
We had an emergency this past weekend and Alexandra Mesa was God's sent help for me. She went above and beyond to make sure l had the right storage for my needs. She kept me well informed about the instructions on the lease and worked out our paper on time even though the system kept failing her. Alexandra is the definition of upstanding customer service!!!!

The store Manager Jasmine is very professional and really caters to your storage and makes it her responsibility not to over sell you on space you may not need. Needed to rent a couple units for a family member. The team here was helpful and efficient. Both the woman we purple highlights and the black woman w braids. Units were exactly what we needed. Can’t comment on upkeep bc we just moved in. Units were clean when we moved in. They have restrooms that customers can use. Rates are…not controlled by customer service so it is irrelevant to comment. It’s 2023 in non recession - recession capitalist America. If you come here expecting yesterdays rate it doesn’t exist.

Alexandra was awesome ! She showed me two different units and helped me choose which was better for my situation. She really went above and beyond by helping get the exact unit I had seen during our tour. She answered all our questions and even though it was close to closing time she didn’t complain and answered everything with a smile ! Definitely recommend

I would not trust leaving anything valuable at this location. I came to check on my things the weekend of New Year’s Eve and my lock had been cut off. My last two visits I arrived and found the staff had placed new locks on my unit without my permission. Each time my original lock looked like it had been tampered with. The staff at the front desk made me show ID to get into my unit on the second time. I’ve come twice to find my unit not in the condition I left it in. You should be in and out when you’re coming to get your belongings and you shouldn’t constantly be checking in with staff to get to your belongings and being inconvenienced after you’ve already driven out of your way to get to your belongings. All of my payments have been made on time, so I should never even have to deal with contact with staff. I added a picture of how my lock was cut off. I found the lock broken and lying on the inside of my unit and the staff made a note that my unit didn’t have a lock on it. I believe there are thieves working internally at this location. I lost track of time on 2/14/23 talking to my sick father in the hospital and the black female manager with a blue ponytail and gap in her teeth threatened to call the cops on me for trespassing. She interrupted me when I voiced concerns about my lock being cut off without me being notified first and she rolled her eyes when I told her I was talking. She is not professional at all.
It’s my first time renting out a storage unit. I was really happy with the customer service I got from Jasmine. She was Amazing! There was another Lady who was there who was training and I can tell Jasmine was teaching her and showing her all the proper procedures. They both had positive energy and were very welcoming. When Jasmine arrived as our new facility manager, i noticed the positive changes to the location. A vast improvement in housekeeping, security measures electronically and foot patrol. Numerous times i have witnessed our manager clean various areas including the bathroom to an acceptable level. For years i have reported to management any issues with the property. The followup by Jasmine has always been satisfactory.

I’ve been at public storage since Dec of 2021 when I first came there till now it’s like a completely different storage now the grounds are clean and the restroom was so filthy and bad with order to be he point that you couldn’t even use it today it’s not the same I actually went to the office my last trip there and commended them on how clean it was especially the restrooms thank u so much for changing management who ever u have now is doing a wonderful job they are to be appreciated

This is an incredible property. The help I received from Jasmine and Alexandria was phenomenal. The staff there is very helpful and accommodating. I came in with a variety of concerns and they address them all. Making sure I got the right size space for all my things. They helped me with registration so that I didn’t have to do it by myself online. The best experience thus far.

Its a nice place to rent for reasonable prices. It was better when the gate access was a bit earlier than office time because you might want to start handling business and putting stuff in storage early or might need to remove things early.

Jasmine is by far my most favorite employee I have had the pleasure of dealing with in my past 20 or so years of renting with public storage! On many occasions she has been beyond helpful and accommodating in sticky or tough situations. Today I called with an issue and left a callback voice-mail, and she did the research and extra steps to fix my problem before she even called me back. Before I even got to tell her what the problem was! I am blown away! Amazing, amazing customer service. Give that girl a raise! 👊

Facilities are nice and clean, elevators are big enough to handle large furniture, and the property seems very secure. There's a homeless encampment down on the corner but they don't seem to bother anyone. They have flatbeds that you can borrow that make it easier to wheel your stuff from the parking lot to your unit. The staff is also very helpful. There are no waste bins, so if you need to throw stuff away, you'll need to take your trash somewhere else. That's understandable, I could see where they wouldn't want to handle so much trash.
I have two main complaints. First, the weekend hours are a little too short. Most people move on the weekends, so it would be nice if the units were accessible later on weekends. If you are already inside the gates, though, you can stay as long as you need. You just can't go out and come back in after closing.
Second, the rent goes up quite a bit each year, it seems like more than the rent for living accommodations. When I first rented my unit back in 2013, I was paying $138 for a 10x10 on the second floor. This year (2022), I got a notice saying my rent was going up 20% to $417, so my rent has tripled in the past 9 years. And this was after my rent went up 28% six months ago. I had to call to find out why my rent was going up twice in six months (before this, they were just raising rents once a year) and they agreed to hold off on the current rent increase for another six months. But still, it's crazy how they don't seem to value their long term renters who are providing them with a steady source of revenue. I think I'll look around for another storage place so I can start off again with lower rent.
This Public Storage had great rates for the area, and the check-in and check-out process was extremely easy. Jasmine is extremely friendly and helpful!!

Jasmine has been a lifesaver in helping navigate an unanticipated move we had to make when another storage unit facility closed and forced us to relocate, AND helping smooth out administrative issues I had with a business account. I have never experienced such thorough helpfulness, willingness, and kindness at Public Storage (or really from any place I've had to work with as an office manager). It will be hard for me to consider renting at any other facility moving forward (I don't see myself ever wanting to). Thank you, Jasmine, and the incredible team at this location! The people who work there are rude and nosy.had My storage unit broken in to, pretty sure it was an inside job. When filing the police report to the sheriff told me that place was notorious for theft. The homeless camp on the east side of the building doesn't help either.
