Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 1330 Cypress St, Covina, CA

I would like to say that the young lady who help me was very nice. I wasn't having such a great day but I believe her name is Nichole, she put a smile on the rest of my day. Very kind and transparent with great costumer service.

I had forgotten to pay my bill and Nicole was very kind to call and remind me. Great customer service and was very helpful when I had to move my stuff from one unit to the other. I needed a bigger unit and she helped me find one that fit me just right.

I had a very poor experience here on Dec 27th, I believe. I won an auction there. I go there to start emptying the unit and a lady named Nicole, who I believe is the property manager gave me a hard time. I arrived in my Honda Civic, she did not like that. She asked me if someone with a truck is coming. She said she doesn't know if she can let me in thru the gates if I dont have a truck. She said she will have to look at the unit pictures first and then decide. I was getting a little anxious, but luckily, she decided to let me in with my own car. I did not know this was a rule? Then, she decided on her own to only give me 24 hours to clear it out. Instead of the contracted 48 hours. She said it does not look like a lot. There were at least 10 bins in there, a couple of bags of clothes, and an exercise machine as well. 24 hours was impossible. I tried my best to empty out the most but I told her I needed the 2nd day. She said she needed to go take a look at the unit first and then she'll decide. We walked over to the unit and she thought about it and luckily, gave me my 2nd day. Right after, she said that I have to take off my own lock and they have to put their own lock. I am new to this but it sounded wrong. I hesitantly agreed because I did not want her to take away my second day. Her male co-worker seemed to look at her confused but he went a long with it. Every time I asked her why, she just kept saying that the DM (District Manager) says so. I have cleared out units in almost every Public Storage in a 10 mile radius and they all have been great. All the staff has been great. This was a giant headache and I was not happy how I was treated. I am grateful for the District Manager James that called me and profusely apologized. He explained that she was not properly trained and that my situation was poorly handled and will not happen again. I would give this 1 star but James was very kind. I was a little paranoid when they put their own lock. The next day, I could not find a handful of coins that I put away. James ensured me that the unit was not accessed at any point. I will take his word, I could have possibly misplaced them. I will do business again at this location if I see a good unit.

I love that this is a new facility. Matthew the office staff was very helpful. The only thing I would request PS to change is the code to the restrooms. It is really difficult to get access to that in the midst of moving. Also if you have very big pieces the elevator doesn't allow you time to put the furniture in if you need to access 3rd floor. Sometimes the bookcases are too tall. 2nd floor is better. Other than that we think the cost and the service is very good.

So far I've had a good experience with my rented storage space with Public Storage. Upon applying online for a storage space I was immediately contacted by a representative (Mr. Velasquez) who explained rules, regulations and procedures regarding the rental. On my initial visit I was shown the space and given keys for the rental. I was also shown how to use the lock and key and told that I could buy boxes from them if I needed those. They also have rolling carts that they lend if you need them for moving your items in. The space was empty & clean and ready for me to move in. Everything went smoothly after that and I was able to move in the following day. I received copies of all documents through my email. The place is very secure also! Great experience so far.

What really impressed me was their attention to detail and willingness to assist with anything, no matter how small the request. They’re not just doing their job—they genuinely care about making sure their customers have a smooth and positive experience. If you’re looking for a stress-free storage experience, I highly recommend Niko and Nicole—they’re the best in the business! PS: on a side note it is awesome to know that you have to put your code in to access only the areas you belong to. I feel good having that security. Also we are in the new age please use technology which I do and all I have to do is click the open button.

They are very helpful for any questions or concerns you may have and they always have the best attitude. I am so glad that we decided to rent a storage here at Public Storage. The staff is not really friendly just average and also the place is not air-conditioned at all so hot inside when you’re carrying all this heavy stuff walking in and out is climate controlled not air-conditioned and also I don’t understand why they have the little bumpy things in front of the door when you’re pushing the cart and have a long code to put in too and the whole thing starts to shake and stuff starts falling off it makes no sense to have them at that door. Other than that they do have a good first month deal which is not bad and it’s a new facility, but overall not the greatest.

so far ive only been in contact with Matthew at the facility but the customer service he has provided has been more than appreciated and welcomed. this is my first time renting a storage unit and he's made my experience very positive so far. the facility is very clean and secure, which i highly enjoy. definitely would recommend this location to anyone looking to store their belongings. the rates are very reasonable and affordable as well. no complaints from me.

Love this new location The front desk property manager and all staff in general are so kind and empathetic. They were helpful and patient to not only my situations but the other patrons and people walking through. effective with l time and tackled all my storage related issues. In particular, Nicole does her job well and does so every time with a smile and a positive attitude First time ever using a storage unit service in between homes and will definitely recommend this location and this staff member specifically. Yay for humans being helpful!!!

I do not recommend renting here. The efficiency of how this made place is horrible. Each time u want to load something into the garage you are required to put in a LONG code to open the door. Then the door will close. Imagine of u have to go back and forth to your storage space! That means we had to input the code 20x going in and out (i had multiple heavy pieces i had to store away) Many customers that were loading w me was complaining about the same thing. There needs to be a way to keep it open temporarily if people have to recently access their storage. Also front desk is not too knowledgable as well Alot of wasted time with him going back and forth from our space to his front desk bec of an issue Also u do not have to buy a lock specifically from them I unfortunately did

I have used Public Storage multiple times over the years. It is the best storage facility I have ever used, always clean and the staff is so helpful. I lost my phone the other day and went to the public storage on Cypress in Covina, Sandy was more then helpful getting me my passcode back and answering all my questions, she went above and beyond.
