"Tara" was the sweetest person to talk to, I called at 8:59 and was treated with nothing less but the upmost courtesy, and being referred to as "ma'am" and having all of my questions answered.
We have been renting a 10x10 storage unit next to this location. The property manager Blake was very nice. We told him our unit at 12425 NE 124th Street (down the street from him) is renewing and the monthly rate was going up in a month's time - this happens every 6 months. We also told him we saw a lower rate online, and was wondering if he could help us get close to it... otherwise, we have to move all our stuff out from one unit to another.
Blake was so helpful, and was eager to help us find a solution. He is polite and professional. Within 1 minute, we had a solution and will be staying at the same unit for another 3 months.
We like public storage. The units are always clean, safe, well lit and well maintained. Thanks again Blake.

I was really pleased with the customer service by James. He has been very nice and helpful in choosing the right unit. A couple of issues: huge construction started a day after I got the unit making it difficult to get in and out of the parking lot.
The storage units were nice given the rates. Blake’s attentiveness and eagerness to help me was amazing. I have never met a storage worker that loves their job like him! I will definitely be going to that storage worker for any future needs!
When I first walked in I was immediately greeted with a smile by Blake. He was so vibrant and willing to help me throughout the process of moving stuff into the storage units. He made my day and made a loyal customer! His service was impeccable!

All 2nd floor storage units have been inaccessible for 2 days and the only response I have gotten is that there is nothing they can do.
I've been a loyal paying customer for about 8 years now and they continue to raise the rent by ridiculous amounts. I ran it up the chain to try and get it reduced but they raised it to $580. That was in April of 2024, I just got an email that they are raising it again next month (3 months later) to $700. Seriously, $700? I can get a studio apartment for that. This is how you treat your good, long term customers? If I move out and move right back in it's $422 for the first month and then $544. But for me, after 8 years it's $700. Beware of these tactics. You get it filled up and they know they've got you stuck. I'll be moving out next month.
I live nearby your facility and your outside alarm system goes off 20 times a day. Fix it please. Not sure how people feel safe with all of the false alarms?

Elevator has been out for a month, zero communication to customers that the 2nd floor would be inaccessible with the exception of limited hours (which are posted) and only via external stairs. The response when calling to inquire was “that sucks” then a chuckle followed by “no idea when that’ll get fixed”. Garbage customer service.
Their only elevator breaks up frequently. It has been broken for more than a month and they don't seem to be in a hurry to fix it. It's puzzling that a storage business where people save their furniture, doesn't have a back up elevator. Since they don't answer their phone, to find out if the elevator has been fixed, I need to send someone since I don't live in the area.

Had a unit for 1 year + and the only elevator up to my unit has been broken on 4 different occasions. I live 45 minutes away and it is beyond ridiculous to have it broken down this often. And then when you try to call nobody answers..ever.

When trailer parking fees at a previous location kept going up, I was in need of a new solution. I reached out and was pleasantly surprised by the welcome and service I received from Blake. He welcomed me, he showed me the spot, and we even had a couple laughs along the way.
EDIT: While the customer experience was very positive, a caution when renting a parking spot. I rented a 10x20 spot, but when I brought my trailer, the spot was only 7 feet wide (measured between the lines). When renting a parking spot, make sure to visit the spot ahead of time and measure it to ensure your vehicle/trailer will fit, because it is not guaranteed.
We needed to get a storage space and Blake walked us through all the options to get the right one for the right price.
Blake was very helpful assisting me and gave me a big discount.

I wish I could give negative rating. I do not know anything about this property manager. But this company is scamming people with a $1 per month promotion. On December 31, 2023, I made a reservation with a move-in date of January 11. Before the reservation, I contacted customer service twice, and they assured me that if I moved out by February 10, I would be charged only $1. After confirming the reservation, I noticed a due amount of $180, which I needed to pay by February 1, otherwise, they would charge me an extra late payment fee. I contacted them immediately after the New Year holiday, as they were closed. Now the customer service told me that my rental had already started from December 31. My first response was, "What the ****?" The customer service representative was not friendly at all. I requested to change the rental date to January 11, but they did not consider my request. When I requested a full refund, the customer representative told me that I would only get $1 back. They also charged my credit card $52 ($1 for the first month's rent and $51 for other charges). See how this company is scamming people. I would suggest being wary of this company. I wish I could sue them.

Friendly staff clean storage sheds
By far the best service I have received at any storage facility. Over the years I have had to rent a few different units at different locations, James and Blake have exceeded amazing customer service! They were always willing to help me with anything, the facility is very well maintained and they are always smiling and saying hello. I would recommend renting from here anytime!

This is an incredibly well-run and well-designed facility. James and staff are extremely helpful and the whole facility is always very clean and neat. The loading/unloading area is huge and covered - so no problems in rain or blazing sun. Lots of parking and maneuvering space. I doubt there is any better place to store your stuff.
Completely disappointed in this storage facility. I have been with them for 7 years.
I am between employment and start my new position later this month.
They will not assist with financial assistance while I get financially stable again!
I have requested help. They also stated that during covid they would not raise prices etc. Yet in the last three years my unit costs have more than doubled. With the state mandates placed I had lost clients and my business. Trying to rebuild. I had to close my buisness this yes.
So I was able to get caught up yet with no assistance from public storage. I had requested some financial assistance and they could not assist. They just gave me phone numbers of those who might be able to help yet the gm and the auction manager stated they couldn't do anything.
Hoping they will work something out here as I am a single father in this tough economic system having to start here from scratch.

Units are good and have relatively low moisture (compared with my Public Storage unit in Bellevue). Another key differentiator are the staff in Kirkland.

I walked in wanting to visually see the sizes of the units and James was more than happy to show me around. He was such an awesome man and he doesn't force you to sign up right then and there if you weren't ready. He takes pride in the quality of the security and software they use to keep it safe and easy access for the customers. HE IS AMAZING AND SO EASY TO GET ALONG WITH.
I met James the manager of the 124th location I called as I was driving in I explained that I am disabled he came outside helped me out of my truck onto an office chair on wheels pushed me inside had all paperwork ready and after Quick call got me approved for disabled people discount and he will and the facility is ready for all my disabled people so after that and my senior citizens discount my bill was 8.26 yes that's right I asked twice and saying don't get in trouble for to many discounts he said it's company policy I said great I'm telling all my friends. So James pushed me back outside where my brother was waiting with the amazed. Look as James helped me into my truck .Honest to God truth from Steve & Greg Child.

I am very pleased with the attention and service I receive from Public Storage. I currently have 3 units at the NE 124th St location, one since 1988, and the other two dating back to 2001 and 2003. You don't stay with a Company that length of time unless you are fully satisfied with the customer care you are receiving. Sad to hear DM Tracy B has transferred to Everett. Over the many years I have dealt with PS, she definitely is a top performer. She has excellent people skills and a can do attitude. I wish her continued success in her career with PS

Hah, called for some details about a storage need a month from now, employee hung up on me once he realized I wasn't interested in placing a hold or starting the process, and was doing research to find the best fit. Great job losing my business.
I was not even a day late on my payment and I got a $93 surcharge on a $178 payment. Then I pay in full, and three hours later I get an email with a lien notice on my unit. Then when I call customer service, which is impossible to talk with a human, she tells me to ignore that threatening lien notice and that the systems aren't connected. What garbage. The property manager of this location may be congenial, but this is a horrible customer experience all-up that is clearly designed to gouge customers.

This place is great and James was awesome! It took me weeks to find the right combination of storage that worked for me. James showed me units in two different locations and helped me make sure my vehicles would fit. He went above and beyond my expectations.
EVERYBODY NEEDS TO READ THIS! I have NEVER been so pleasantly surprised (shocked is more like it) at the outstanding service given by James, the manager at this facility, before in my life. It's hard to adequately describe what a load he took off my shoulders. I had hand surgery and my son was supposed to clean the unit out. He got some of the stuff out then.... he lost the key and I had to be out or I would be charged another month as of the 1st. I was really upset and told James of my dilemma and said I would take care of it somehow, without the use of my hand. Could not drive, etc. To my surprise/shock, James took care of absolutely everything for me because this is the kind of service he gives at his facility. What more could a person ask for? I am seriously not used to people being so conscientious at their job anymore. It's really rare and, as I said, shocking. James will be my hero forever and I will not hesitate to recommend this facility and James to anyone. He should really get a raise and be promoted to "Training Director of Client Relations".

Total fraud on there storage auctions was watching a posted auction suppobly sealed that had less than a day left auction got canceled same one posted with in a few hours looks like it was searched threw and staged sorry for the person who go stuck with all this trash same unit different auction

I am renting three units so I've been going there quite often lately. My experience has been very positive. The key is the representative they have in charge, James. I have been is sales and customer service all my professional life. James gets it! He will go the extra mile to ensure you walk out of the store pleased with the service.
