Incredibly shady - booked this place for the lowest price and they almost doubled it in less than 5 months….staff is also very odd
Absolutely awful! Our storage has been broken into 3 times! In 4 months 2 of the times we’re in the same MONTH. When asked if we needed to make a police report were told by stuff”I mean if you want to”. THIS is unacceptable to pay almost 300 dollars a month to get your stuff taken and then employees to not even give you any details regarding the break in. Public storage needs to do a total revamp and hire security god knows you need it.

As soon as I moved stuff in, I wanted to move it out multiple break ins and the staff is never on site. They won't keep dollies on site because people keep stealing them. Nearly every time I've been here the front door is propped wide open and people just walk in and out avoiding the flimsy security system.
I'm now sitting in the lot waiting for anyone to show up so I can close my account. YOUR BELONGINGS ARE NOT SAFE HERE!

It is no longer safe, they broke the locks and stole all my tools.

Just had my first encounter with PS Employee Kiki. Wanted to say that she has an Awesome Attitude, Great Customer Service Skills, and a Delight to Work with, not to mention a Beautiful smile, for days. Google only allows Five Stars, but in reality, I gotta say that she is way more closer to a 7, than she is a 5. Hope you are smart enough to retain her for quite awhile, cause would prefer to work with her again, if I can! Thank You Again Kiki!

I had one of the best customer service experiences in my life at this Public Storage location: 7421 S. 180th St., Kent, WA with Kiki. I walked in to see one of the smallest available units on 7/29/24. Not only was Kiki calm while simultaneously helping me and two other guests, she was also very relatable and authentic. I appreciated the level of detail and humor that she provided today. It was a breath of fresh air. Again, hands down- best customer service ever.
This lady can’t understand me at all ! Was on the phone for 20 min trying to find out if she had an outside unit I could drive up to. So she answers with what is your address. That was not my question! I’m not going to go through all the paperwork and giving you my info if you don’t have a unit I can drive up to.
She kept saying oh I understand then she would not answer, it was so frustrating I wanted to screen! And I’m a very patient person . Don’t bother with this place cuz she’ll drive you mad!! I give it a -1

Been a bit delayed submitting this but wanted express how great both Amanda and Jane are, and as a customer would like to see them both be rewarded with high merits because of the difficult situation they had to deal with.
Unfortunately, a large scale breach happened and my unit became victim to it, but because of both Amanda and Jane, I have been able to recover most of my belongings that the theives/human garbage attempted to take. In lieu of this event they both have made it a priority to ensure a stronger level of security and assurance that my belongings are safe and protected, as well as, been knowledgeable and transparent of the event that occurred. Amanda works very regularly at this location and in all honesty, her deescalation and customer service skills are why I have elected to continue doing business and storing my belongs at this location.
While I do still believe that more could be done to prevent this from happening again, like limiting the access hours to only when staff is onsite to help improve the security in such a high-crime riddled area; I still feel that my belongings are in good hands under Ananda’s watch.
I work as an auditor and quality control manager for a publicly traded company and the skills and passion to meet and exceed customer expectations by both Amanda and Jane are things I hope Public Storage highlights, acknowledges, and puts forth for them to elevate their careers in a sooner than later manner. Both Amanda and Jane would be people I would even like to have in my line of work and if Public Storage Corporate doesn’t want to acknowledge this, I would be more than happy to acquire their talents.

First of this place is clean, the people working in the office are supper nice and helpful. My experience at this location was so much better than my other experience at another public space office. I was going to give up looking if this location was a bust but I’m glad I didn’t! Nikki helped me secure a unit. She was friendly, knowledgeable, outgoing, and timely. After my interactions with her I was sold on getting a unit. Thanks again Nikki!

At least three break-ins in leas than one month. Most recently at least 20 units burgled. PS will not call police. PS will not take reasonable steps to secure premises.
They act with wanton disregard towards security and their customers belongings.
Theo policy is to disavow and minimize. They don’t want people to know that there have been multiple thefts of multiple units.
They notify you that your locker is insecure…and then leave for the night.
They leave the doors to the building wide open after they leave.
The malfeasance by the company, “regional management” and lack of any personal integrity exhibited by staff is appalling.
After multiple break ins they refuse to have a person monitoring camera systems (a minor and practical expense) in between office closure and alarms being turned on.
After a multitude of break ins No security service contracted to provide a presence while known to be being repeatedly hit.
They will not file a police report when their equipment is what failed. Flimsy easily cut locks they sell, easily broken into doors with paper thin door mechanisms defeated by a toddler with a screwdriver.
Will offer for you to self move your stuff to a more secure location in upper floors. But
Last break in a Harley Davidson was taken from the fourth floor. So what’s the point?
Personally after second break in am out over fourth thousand dollars worth of stuff. More important irreplaceable generational momento’s are missing.
Worse! I paid more than the going rate in the area because I was assured this location was safe and security cameras were monitored. They’ve since “clarified” only monitored during office hours.
Pointless.
I cannot emphasize enough to not trust your belongings to PS.

I’ve worked with this storage facility for 1.5 years now and have had nothing but positive experiences with the team at this location. Jaelin is a wonderful partner to work with. She has a high level of communication and genuinely cares about the customer experience. I would highly recommend this location!

I would rate them 0/10 if I could. Have been renting a storage unit with them for over 2 years through auto-pay. When the rate increased previously, I was sent a notice prior to the increase to let me know my auto-pay amount would increase.
This time around, I was sent NO notice to let me know the rate was increased again. You can imagine my shock when I found they had been withdrawing significantly more each month than what I expected.
They agreed, contractually, to send notice of increases in price ( "as disclosed in notices that PUBLIC STORAGE will send to you" ) and broke their contractual agreement.
I don't mind increased prices of services, I understand it happens with inflation. I do mind when you are sneaky about it.
Untrustworthy. Unethical. Would not recommend.
Their manager Jaelin was really nice. Loved her bubbly attitude. Really informative and straightforward. Not a lot of managers are like that nowadays so this was a rare occurrence to me. she even helped me move in a day early without any issues. The place is really clean and pretty tidy. Had no issues with my move and would definitely recommend going here for your moving needs 😁⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

From what I've seen it's very clean and spacious.
The representative was very helpful, knowledgeable, thorough, and curtious.
Had my storage unit broken into from above and lost some valuable items that I will not be able to get back. I came to find out there are frequent break ins. Now having to try and get my price for value will be a nightmare to work through. Thought it was safe being on the 3rd floor.

Held on to my stuff for a total of 10 years and suited my need for a long term storage solution that provided a 5 x 10 climate controlled unit for my plastic figure collectio and other heat sensitive belongings. Helpful and polite staff as well. They tend to raise their rates from time to time despite offering low rates to new comers. Actually moved units to get a cheaper price for exactly the same size unit on the same floor, which seemed a bit silly. Regardless, still a great choice for long term storage. Finally leaving to relocate my stuff back where I currently live.
