I AM EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED WITH PUBLIC STORAGE BY 228th st in Bothell. I rented 2 storages while going through Domestic violence and fight with 3rd degree of breast cancer but despite pleading with the management they still auctioned my entire household for 60 dollars. Now the Other half empty storage is at rist because they are still demanding I pay for the balance on the storage they auctioned.... THEY ARE ONLY NICE WHEN YOU'RE A NEW CLIENT

My experience with Public Storage has been extremely disappointing. Initially, the rent was supposed to be $25 per month, but without any prior notice, it was suddenly increased to over $60 per month. This location is unmanned, and the only way to communicate is through their 800 number. When I tried to give notice to vacate, I was placed on hold for over an hour. I strongly recommend choosing a reputable, locally owned storage facility to avoid unnecessary frustration.

Joseph has always been professional & helpful. The process been easy peasy. The facility & grounds is always maintained, the only issue is when it’s freezing out you may not be able to access the gate but other then that I Definitely recommend.

This place is rat infested. Everything in my friends storage area was destroyed in 2 years. Boxes of unreplaceable family photos chewed to confetti and pissed on. The on site employees try to be helpful, but management knows there is a documentable rodent issue and will dispose of the contents of a storage space as soon as is legally possible to avoid liability.

UPDATE: I originally liked this location but the past several years it has gone downhill. Our unit was inundated by rats. When we finally moved out everything in there was covered with rat feces and the added bonus of a dead rat in our unit. I understand that they can only do so much about rodents but knowing it was that bad they could have notified us so we could check on things or remove anything that could be ruined. I asked if we could have a month free for the disgusting task of moving all of our belongings covered in rat poop and they wouldn't do it, even though we stored there for 8 years. If you are worried about rodent damage I would stay clear, especially the building behind the restaurant. It literally smells like rat pee when you go in the building. This location has been great, helping us find a proper sized unit (Corey) and going out of their way to make sure things are safe and secure (Debbie) Thank you!

This place is terrible . They constantly raise prices - sometimes more than once a year. They raised our rates more than their advertised prices. They never answer the phone, and it is rat infested.

*** March 2023 EDIT - Sadly Joe moved onto a new location and his care and hard work to maintain this storage facility are gone. I think this location takes a lot of concern and effort to keep usable. They have a large rat problem. Upon moving out, there was a literal EXPLOSION OF FECES in the hallway in front of my space. And after finally looking through my items, I discovered droppings on the tops of my furniture and boxes. I informed management, but they weren't too concerned having been informed already. Unfortunately, I have a hard time recommending this location anymore. If they can fix the rat problem then they will be in better shape. Since, I don't have a need for staorage anymore, I won't be able to update the review again. My suggestion to everyone is look for the black rat traps on the fround by doors outside and if they still have them inside. When I was here the side nearest to the restaurants on west side are the worst for the pest problem. If they fix the problem, then disregard my comments. Sorry to be critical, but for people who are storing potential important items, you may want to consider the value/cost trade-off. General storage probably less problematic. *** 2022 ORIGINAL REVIEW - This Public Storage location is the most affordable storage facility in the area. I used them on several occasions over many years, but they have really improved over the summer and are at their best right now. They have repaved the whole lot and repainted all the buildings. It's always clean and accessible. If you can ask for Joe, he really cares about the customers and works tirelessly to get you the best deal and unit. He is very professional and instills confidence in storing your items here. There aren't alot of frills - just quality, safe, clean and affordable storage space.

Came in for some quick info and got what I needed. Person who helped me was great. They were either Charles or Chester. Either way, they were helpful!

Nothing but good things to say so far. When I didn’t like the first unit I was assigned Chester quickly and easily transferred me to a different one. Very friendly and helpful!

Starting off using the national operator was a mistake in setting up my unit but after calling the Bothell facility directly a knight in shinning armor named Royce saved the day. I believe he is in his first week of employment at Public Storage but it was like he was a seasoned vet. He is a problem solver. Public Storage in Bothell was right to hire him. Thank you Royce for all your help!!

This Canyon Park facility is under new management and WOW ... What a difference. Joe was so helpful and attentive and took really good care of me. We were vacating our unit and trying clean it all out in a day. Only thing we couldn't get done was the Kayak. He stored it for me over night and helped me load it the next day to avoid additional fees. Amazing customer service all the way around. Highly recommend!
