For a few years I have had 1-3 storage unit(s) with Public Storage on Garrisonville Rd., Stafford VA. so I have some experience with this site location. Sheena has always been easy to reach, and, on one particular occasion when I really needed her assistance, she was very helpful. Always has been very pleasant, straight-forward, efficient. I recommend Sheena, and this site, very highly.

Nobody was at the building to open the door while I just bought my rental and the store was open during the store hours. Door was locked and literally nobody to contact to getting my key to open my rental to put my things in. I even called customer service, couldn’t get a hold of anyone. I see this isn’t the first review on this so if you’re just gonna go on break or just leave, leave a note or something saying how long you’ll be gone. My partner and I had things to do this day and this was huge inconvenience because we didn’t know what time the person would be back. Currently still waiting as I type this. Unacceptable as a business, this was my first time even here and it’s just not a good look. Really unprofessional all you have to do is just wait by the desk.

H O R R I B L E !!!! EVERY time I come here they’re never open and NEVER open on time. Their hours are 6am-9pm. If thats incorrect then fix it. I just pulled up at 9:25a and the door is still locked. The woman decided to open the door and tells me I have to wait because “I just got here , we don’t open until 9:30” Sooooo why doesn’t the website state that? Nowhere on the site, Google or the building door does it indicate they open at 9:30a. Now it’s 9:30 and she’s not even at the desk, door STILL locked. Mind you this is the same woman who got a whole attitude when I came once before because she had just went on break and was mad because people were coming in after she voluntarily opened the door. NOTHING was on the door to indicate she was on a lunch break.
I love the public storage located on Garrisonville Road. Sheena is always polite, professional and easy to work with. If a customer needs help, Sheena always makes herself available to provide a solution.
I've used Public Storage in another large, metropolitan area and this location is the best by a LONG-SHOT! Ms. Sheena (the property manager), Tiffany, and Jackie are ALWAYS friendly and extremely professional. Additionally, the premises is always clean and organized. I really appreciate how they value their patrons and it makes Public Storage as a brand shine.

Love the location and outside accessible units which some of these places don't seem to have any more. With several choices for storage within a short distance on 610 in Stafford, VA, Public Storage is highly recommended.

Terrible customer service… waited for someone to arrive for more than 30 minutes in the office. For the prices you pay for storage there should be a better level of customer service. Complete money grab at the end of the day. I would recommend any other storage company over this one. I would even recommend a box on the side of the road more than these guys.

She also was able to find me savings by searching the database, and finding, a $1 special for my 1st month which saved me over $200 on my bill. If i could give negative, i would. My mother just passed away. i have her will naming me as her only heir, and im on account for access, but they refuse to give us access until i provide death cert and can take 30-60 days for them to give access. We live across the country. So we have to wait 2 weeks to get a death certificate and then another 30-60 days. So i have to either pay for a hotel for a month to 2 months or have to fly back out here to access her units and pay for storage for another month or two. Wow, the cost for this they dont care, especially in this time of lose. The General Manager Dil Raj will not talk to us but will tell the office worker dont allow entry.

Bottom line up front: Do not trust this company to provide fair or equitable treatment to customers. Location: Stafford, Va.
Initially a great experience, the right size space, the ease of access, and a reasonable rental rate. However, the reasonable rate changed after the 3rd month (with less than 30 day notice as required per contract), and it jumped considerably. An immediate call to public storage customer service basically ended with tough luck & take your business elsewhere if you don’t like it.
This experience demonstrated the company’s underhanded marketing and drive to swindle their customers. What’s worse is that I could rent another same size space at the same location for less than my original cost, but I’d have to switch units. Does that even make sense?
Since public storage was operating in bad faith, I took my business a quarter mile down the road to a competitor, and saved $40 over public storage’s rent and got an additional 15 sqft of space. Still had to move the contents to the new place, which is probably what public storage is banking on. That you’d rather pay more than move your stored goods to a new location.
I highly recommend any who read this comment to consider other options than doing business with public storage and their poor business practices. Clearly, public storage didn’t care about their customer service or whether they lose customers as long as they can continue to lure in new ones.
As a side note, the unit locks are unique to public storage, so you are forced to purchase a lock from them.

I recently shopped around for a storage unit in the Stafford area. There were a lot to choose from however I went with public storage because one they were less expensive and two they have the outdoor storage units which are definitely more convenient for unloading heavy furniture!! The whole process from reserving the unit to Signing the paperwork and picking up keys was so simple. Manager Janet helped me with everything. She is very knowledgeable and friendly and she got me in and out quick! I definitely recommend going to public storage!!!!

I visited this location 3 times before I was able to speak with an actual worker.
I was shown 3 inside units at this location (Garrisonville Rd in North Stafford). The 1st & 2nd units had issues. However, I did book the 3rd inside unit I was shown.
I failed to ask & there was no mention of dolly or hand held carts. When I ask where the hand held carts were kept? I was told there was ONLY 1 cart for the WHOLE storage unit. (ODD)
You will need an additional 20-30 mins. To walk through the storage complex to locate the 1 cart.
I Will be relocating my items to a more customer oriented location.
