Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 10411 Dumfries Rd, Manassas, VA

Rented a second floor unit, unit listed elevator access available. Went there today to unload our furniture only to be told *none* of the elevators work, and the receptionist could not provide a repair ETA as to when they will and they had no first floor units available for us to switch to, so we had to take our furniture to a second storage location and pay, again. Complete Waste of 90 dollars for no reason.

This Public Storage building is the cleanest I've ever rented. Also, the 2 restrooms are very clean!

Im leaving this review for Rob, I have been storing here for a long time. Rob has always been kind to me and he keeps the place in great condition even thought its not a newer location. With that being said, they are doing construction at this location as others have stated. However I was notified in advanced that the project was going on. I do hope they stay on schedule to get the project done as soon as possible to restore access to customers but I also understand the safety aspect and how limiting access was likely not ideal. The new building is going to be a nice addition to this location and they are working quickly. Every time I come I see progress like the saying “rome wasnt built in a day” . Rob is doing his best to manage all of this and I appreciate his hard work in keeping the location clean and running during what im sure is a difficult time.

Patricia was very friendly and helpful. We were going to get a 10x10, but after her taking us to see a 10x15 we decided to go with the larger unit.

The units are spacious and easy to access, with wide driveways and plenty of carts available for convenience.

The inside of the "climate controlled units" were the same temperature as outside (98 degrees) and the unit had roaches inside of them.

New facility, opened within last year as Extra Space, now Public Storage. Clean, well kept building. Rent prices reasonable, tho not ‘cheap’, but better than I was paying in the mid 2010s. I went in to update my account after Public Storage took over, May 2025, and was helped by Debbie in office, who was friendly, helpful & efficient. Would recommend.

4/10 new review: My most recent experience with this facility has been a complete 180 from how things started. I’ve rented three units here and been a customer for nearly a year, but things have gone downhill fast. Over the past several months, they’ve been increasing the rent almost every month — with no clear explanation. The final straw? I was charged a full month’s rent even though I only stayed 5 days into the month. Apparently, their prorate deadline is midnight on the 5th, and I checked out at 10 AM on the 6th. That cost me over $200 for just 5 days — ridiculous. What’s worse is how they handled my request for an exception. I got the same scripted excuse: “It’s corporate policy.” When I asked for corporate’s contact info, they refused to give it to me. I even submitted a request online and haven’t heard back. This is how they treat loyal customers? I’ve been with them for almost a year. If you’re considering this facility, think twice — unless you’re okay with surprise charges and poor customer support. Old: Storage Zone delivers exceptional customer service that sets it apart from any other storage facility. A special shoutout to Madeleine, who made the entire experience easy and smooth. Will definitely be moving my stuff this month! I've only had my unit for a year and and starting next month they are increasing cost again. So in a year they have increased the cost twice. Unit started at 70$ some dollars now will be over 120$ dollars. That's 50$ some dollars in 1 year of increases. Yeah no thanks!!!! So much for being a loyal customer who pays her rent on time every month.
