Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 243 S Geneva Road, Orem, UT

Dustin at the 1042 S Geneva road location was so helpful and accommodating helping me find a very specific unit! I needed a large enough space that I could fit my boat in it and also have enough space in front access to be able to back boat in. We tried one that didn’t quite work, so he searched all the other sites until he found the perfect spot. Dustin also was able to ensure I got the best deal possible! Great customer service, thanks so much Dustin!

The most kind and generous storage location I’ve worked with! Very understanding and easy to work with. It was seriously the fastest and easiest location to work with cause sprayed can be a pain but this changed my opinion of how a storage facility should be!

They don’t know how to pick up their phone. Then they don’t cancel your membership when you ask. Then it gets sent to collections. then you talk to the district manager. They didn’t fix it

Signed a agreement for a promotion a year contract at 120 a month and I paid six months in advance and then they eased the price and then raised it again now instead of 120 a month it’s 198 a month and all they say is they have the right to raise the price of your rent when ever they want

I came from out of town to check out different storage units. I was very impressed with the customer service I received from Lindsey at this location. If I decide to move here and need a unit I will definitely be coming back.

This storage company is a complete scam. We have been renting here for a few years now. Never late never missed a payment. And consistently they have raised our rent every 3 to 4 months by 50$ every time. This should be illegal and ill be looking into the legallity of this. This surely wasnt part of the agreement upon renting the unit. I can assure u we were not informed the rent would be raised every 3 to 4 months.

I had a good review when it was an independent storage place. They sold to Public Storage and everything sucks now. Rate went up by $40 per month, can't ever get anyone to return my calls. I tried calling to let them know my payment would decline due to fraud on my card and I would give them the updated card when it arrived in the mail in a few days. Now I was billed a $33 late fee and there is literally nobody to talk to about it or try to get it reversed. I would not rent from here again and will be clearing out my unit.

There is never anyone on site. I get that this is a self service location, but you should still be able to speak with someone during normal business hours and you can't. They are illegally auctioning off my unit and I am unable to reach anyone about it. They claim to have sent me an email which I never recieved. State law requires that after 3 days of email service if they get no response that they serve notice via certified mail which they never did. I tried to work out a plan to get completely caught up within about 2 weeks with them but they were unwilling to budge.

I've been renting from Public Storage since before they ownership, and I would have to say, that Dustin Madsen has been more than great to work with! He has always answered any questions I may have had, & is always honest. He goes out his way to help in any way possible. I can't thank him enuf, for how kind he had been to my children, he always ask them, how things are going and what class they are taking in school, it's funny that my 15 year old asks me if we can stop by the storage unit, so he can show Dustin what he is building in shop class. It really makes a difference when you are able to find such amazing people, when you have to deal with all the crazy things going on in our world these days. Dustin is always professional, and it's nice to know that there are still a few kind people out there.

Dustin was a lifesaver for us when our other unit fell through. He was incredibly helpful—SO grateful that he was working on Labor Day when most storage places were closed. Highly recommend!!

Jonathan was very helpful to my situation. Had Jonathan not been there with his patience and knowledge I probably wouldn’t have chosen this company after I went through the hassle I did! Changed my 5 start to a 2 star. I have been a tenant for the past 4 years and it’s been a great experience until new ownership took over. Price went up 50% with no explanation even when I was told by the staff I’d be grandfathered in. Don’t have time to fight this anymore so I’ll find a new storage place and hope for the best as my items are not even worth the new monthly payment haha

The manager Dustin is great! I was able to make a payment at the office, and he was very helpful and made my day! It was nice to be able to talk to a person, & not just a machine.

UPDATE: we got in contact with the auction manager and public storage is in the wrong! They spelt our names wrong in their system and had the wrong address down. So they illegally sold our things! Nicole Navarro the actuation manager is ignoring our calls because they know they have to do something about this! Stop ignoring us and get our things back ! Absolutely disgusting!! Please do not store your things here. I’m so emotional, sad, and heartbroken. Our stuff got auctioned off after 1 missed payment ( less than a month). We didn’t receive phone calls, notices, or anything from them. We tried going to the office over 10 times within business hours and no one was ever there. How is that our fault? I even called and talk to someone to get new keys and she never mentioned a single thing over the phone about a missed payment or that our stuff was in jeopardy. All of my first born things were in there, my diploma, etc… everything me and my little family built together was in there. I feel so incomplete and so sad that we trusted this place with our stuff. So please save the heart ache, and rent somewhere else 💔

Aaron, the on-site property manager is extremely helpful, and was very diligent about getting back to me and keeping me updated and informed as my move out was processed. Also, Margaret from the Vineyard location was extremely helpful, by double checking that I had not been over charged, and my account was closed successfully 👍. As a whole, this company needs much improvement in the corporate customer service sector of their business, but if you do decide to go through public storage, it's folks like these two that give it a local feel. Thank you.

This company was great when it was operated as Utah Valley Storage & RV but once it changed to Public Storage, the customer service went in the toilet. You want to talk to someone at the front office? Forget it. They are never there. Call them on the phone? Forget it. They never pick up. You can leave all the voice mails you want, they won't call you back. We wanted to schedule a move-out and called one month in advance. Tried to talk to someone but could not. Eventually was referred to "Schedule Move Out" feature on website so we used this. They way the interface was set up, it implied that we were paid through May 10 so I scheduled a move out on May 8. Then I was billed for another month on May 1. I called the local office several times - ha, forget it. Nobody answers. I called the national number. No luck. Eventually, I got someone on chat who was completely unhelpful. Told me that once it was billed via autopay, there is no refund. I asked if I could get partial refund if I move out by the May 8 date which had been dutifully scheduled with the company. Nope - tough luck. Once it is billed, you can't get it back. Just miserable customer service all the way around. Take your business elsewhere or prepare to be frustrated.

It's a really nice place to rent a storage unit and the people who run it is very nice and helpful.

Utah Valley Storage and RV is so great! We used them for a while with RV parking and now again with a storage unit. They have an online payment system which makes it really easy to pay every month and they are always friendly and helpful when I have called.
