The facility is very clean, and the climate control storage is quite pleasant to work in. Philemon was exceptionally helpful, getting me into my new unit in less than 15 minutes!
On my second trip out, I bumped into Ms Sam in the parking lot and she was a delight to talk to! She specifically wanted to know how Public Storage could help me further and whether I had any concerns with the space. I've rented with other Public Storage locations in the past and not had this anywhere near this kind of customer service!

It's a good place to put stuff in for storage. It's not fancy or anything , but the more money you pay the bigger the space. The security measures are kind of annoying, but since it's for security it's alright. You have to have an online security code thing and have to scan it at the entrance and on the elevator. It's not great, but it's okay.

Great service and even better storage solutions. Wouldn't recommend if you're looking for a cheap studio apartment, apparently that's frowned upon! Nice air conditioning for when you want to sit in the lobby and sign paperwork. Representative Robert was extremely helpful and even reminded me it is in fact illegal to live out of one of the units. Great customer service!! After trying to set up my additional storage unit online -- and experiencing issues with the internet, I went to the Stacy Road Public Storage. Noah was a HUGE help! He was courteous, thoroughly explained the options, and even showed me the units I was considering! WOW! Excellent support from Noah! The manager even called the next day to make sure I knew how to access my unit and key! Awesome.

I am asking an investigation of the Public Storage billing practice
I have encountered four consecutive reset/cancelling of my autopay for my storage unit without my permission in Mckinney, TX on 4700 Stacy Rd, lately.
I have been always autopay for the entire 2 yrs with Public Storage.
Since June,23, my account autopay has been tinkered without my authorization.
My bill became due and overdue. I was notified the last minute and found supprisingly my autopay was cancelled. This has been repeated since June, July, August and Sept. Each time when I caught it, I set it to autopay again. Now I am smart enough to take screen shot.
In August I had to pay a late fee of $35 more because I was one day late (again the autopay was cancelled without my authorization)
I am asking an investigation of the Public Storage billing practice nation wise and specifically the Mckinney, TX on Stacy Rd store odd behavior or tinker customer accounts.
Mr. Robert and Ms. Ebony were the absolute best. Professional, helpful and very engaging. Wish more people could be like this ! God bless then

The carts, elevator, and climate control are super helpful and I love them. However, as somebody who doesn't get off of work until 10pm, it is very inconvenient that access ends at 9pm. Additionally, if you are accessing your unit after 5pm, the bathrooms are locked so you are required to drive out of your way to take a restroom break, further limiting the amount of time you have access to your unit.

I rented my unit in October at the rate of $217 a month. March comes and I receive an email stating that my rent is going up to $269, but there's no explanation. So I scheduled my move out for April 2nd, I receive a call stating it is best I move out before April 1 because if I don't I will be responsible for the full months rent. No proration for the 2 days. Several of my friends and acquaintances stated that Public Storage did them the exact same thing. Be warned!! I will never use Public Storage again.

Public storage is not a customer forward company.
They will hike your rate (for me double) after about 4 months. I have recieved a complete run around in trying to get some insight. Finally made it to someone who could help. She said that I would be honored my normal rate through end of November. Look at my account today and they never honored what they said. When I called today, they told me that the person before just sent a “request” to have my rate honored to to the original rate and that it had been declined. That was by no means what the person said.
This is not a reflection of this specific location, rather the company values as a whole: do not give these people your money. Highly disappointed and will be spreading the word.

High rent, facility IS NOT SECURE...after my items were stolen the police informed me that the security cameras do not record or if they do the tapes are not available. If you inspect the ceiling area of your space, you will notice that the units on either side of you can actually see what is in your unit with very little effort. The area above your unit is not secure and their lock system is not secure. Do not be fooled by the camera system. This facility IS NOT SECURE in my opinion and THEY ARE EXPENSIVE!!
Hi, do you know why my next month's rent increased from $64 to $89? That's 40% increase! everybody should be careful with this company. I only moved in about 5 months ago, and now increased 40% on my monthly rent!!!

The location and unit I’m renting is wonderful. It appears they penalize long-term tenants. I understand inflation, but not a 100% increase. I have a 10x30 space that started at under $250 in 2017 and now it’s double. No notice and random increases. Customer service just isn’t the same I guess.
Count on rate increases every 9 months like clock work. 1st increase 27%, next 17% and now only 55%!!!! Called customer service and basically given the answer of "Too bad, so sad." Will never rent from this company again!
Response to the owner...I contacted your property manager. He could not do anything. I contacted Public Storage customer service and they could not do anything. Then they transferred me to Executive Suite customer service. They just do not care.
I have been with Public Storage for almost 5 years. My only complaint is the cost is constantly going up. But today I talked to one of the customer service rep. He was so kind put in for me A Customer Appreciation Promotion to my account. So that makes a great difference to stay with a business that's safe for your personal belongings, No issues since I have been at this location as well. MOVED IN MY 1ST STORAGE MARCH 14, 2022. That I had for a month. I HAVEN'T BEEN THIS NERVOUS ABOUT MY PERSONAL BELONGINGS EVER WHEN STORED IN A FACILITY. SHE, I THOUGHT WAS VERY HELPFUL. SHE WATCHED US THE WHOLE TIME UNLOADING ITEMS IN THE STORAGE! AFTER I WENT HOME TO SET UP ACCOUNT NO NEW CONTRACT SENT TO MY EMAIL FOR SECOND STORAGE UNIT. I HAD TO PAY AN ADDITIONAL ADMIN FEE. WHY??? I'M VERY CONCERNED, UNCOMFORTABLE AND AFRAID AT THIS POINT. Will MY FURNITURE, TV'S BE SAFE??? I NEED A COPY FOR MY INSURANCE. I CALLED HER TO INQUIRE ABOUT THE EMAILS SHE KINDA BLEW ME OFF SAYING SHE NEEDS TO CALL HER DISTRICT MANAGER OR SOMEONE OVER HER. SHE DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO DO IT! ILL STAY IN 🙏 IM HEADED BACK TO THE STIRAGE UNIT TODAY.

I rented 3 storage units from the Public Storage location on Stacy Road in McKinney for almost 5 years. My experience there was the greatest!! One may ask, "how can renting storage units have a "great" experience?" One word, "Latasha". Latasha was the person that rented me my spaces those few years ago. Of course, renting a space should be an easy experience, but Latasha was attentive and patient with all the questions I had and made my move-in experience go smoothly. Fast forward to me closing my account, again LaTasha was more than helpful in making my move-out experience go smoothly as well. She helped me coordinate my movers and followed up to make sure that they had no trouble vacating my units. She has always been helpful, kind, attentive and patient. I highly recommend the Public Storage located at Stacy Rd in McKinney. DON'T forget to ask for LaTasha!!! She is good people, who made me feel like I was more than just a customer but a friend she was trying to help out. If the other Public Storage locations have customer facing folks that are 1/2 the person Latasha is, Public Storage is doing a great job at hiring the right people. THANKS AGAIN LATASHA!!!!

On Dec 23rd I received notice that my next auto draft would be $275 when the monthly payment was $203. I tried calling and left messages on Dec 27th that I was not going to pay that price per month. I finally talked to someone in the Allen office on Jan 3rd and they said they would get with their district manager for a resolution. Allen office got back with me and said they would keep the rent at $203 so then I made the payment on 1/10/2022. Then I started to get harassed about not paying the late fee and the additional rent for January of $72 which was the increase they said would be removed. I told them I was not paying that because it was waived and it was not late due to the issue. Then they cut my lock on Jan 25th and filed a lein on Feb 1st for another $57. Now they want a total of $179 plus the Feb payment of $203 so I can get my stuff back and move away from Public Storage. The whole organization is ridiculous in every aspect. DO NOT RENT A UNIT FROM THESE CROOKS. I was a customer since they built the place.
this is the worst managed public storage i have ever dealt with. no one is almost ever in the office to talk to. you have to leave a voice message. good luck getting a response. i had movers bringing my furniture to mckinney. i needed the unit early. i left messages saturday, sunday, and monday. i finally gave up and got a storage unit somewhere else. horrible horrible horrible
Awesome friendly customer service. Latasha went above and beyond by helping me out and answering all my questions. Definitely recommend Public Storage!!
