Used to be good place to get a storage unit but recently they start jacking the price to more than double once they know you put bunch of stuff in your unit , also bathrooms closed at all time so if you need to use restroom you better stop by a closed gas station before you come to this place .

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the service at the location at 150 Dominion Dr., where I have multiple units. I have been facing ongoing issues with two of my units for over six months, and despite numerous complaints, no action has been taken. For the past two months, the air conditioning in my climate-controlled units has not been functioning properly. The temperature inside the units is often between 85 and 88 degrees Fahrenheit, yet I am paying for climate control. Whenever I bring this issue to the manager's attention, I receive inconsistent responses, such as "it's set for 79 degrees" or "it's set for 82 degrees," which they claim is Public Storage policy. This is unacceptable and needs immediate attention from the responsible party, whether it is the district manager or another authority. Additionally, I have noticed that the rental price increases every six months without any clear justification. When I inquire about these hikes, I am told that it is a system issue and nothing can be done about it. I am now seeking a better storage facility where the company genuinely cares about its customers. Based on my experiences, I would not recommend Public Storage to anyone considering their services.

Keeps raising the rate every 90 days. Other reviewers note the same but I didn’t listen. Avoid. Update 3/24: Received a call from their team shortly after leaving this review and the representative said they’d lower my rate back to the original price I had of $63/month for a 5x10 unit. Here we are 3 months later back to trying to charge me $77/month again with no phone call or notice or anything sent to my email. I pay $80 a month for 10x10 unit for two motorcycles from a different provider just two intersections north on Fry from this Public Storage Location. Not sure where Public Storage gets the balls to charge almost $80 a month for half as much space as the local competition.

Tyler and Michelle were super helpful and kind. Thanks to them I was able to get my first storage at a super affordable price. I 100% recommend this storage facility.

This place is unsafe, they are hanging around all the time when you are in your unit, I was in the bathroom and they opened the door without first knocking on the employee named RANDY, I complained to the "manager" DAMI and he told me that it was normal because The bathroom doors should always be locked, the bathrooms are always dirty and in poor condition, BUT THEY ARE ALWAYS RAISING THE PRICES....No improvement, advantage or at least good service or respect.... Answer:There is no first class service here, we are talking about violation of privacy, disrespect and harassment, the only thing that is first class is what they charge, which increases for no reason, abuse of this nature is not coherent for this answer.. .. I'm sorry, it's an unacceptable situation.

Absolutely DO NOT rent from this place. Security is an absolute joke. This place allowed everything in my unit to get stolen by a random person. Did not even ask for an ID or anything, all they had to just provide a number and they took everything! They said "someone came to vacate my lot" and When I asked them how this happened, they said it was MY fault! All a person needs is a phone number and they can take everything from you. DO NOT RENT HERE.

Update 2023: They get you in with a promotional rate, but after a while will start increasing the rates about every two months, when you plane for long term and hesitate to bear the bother and fee of displacing, YOU SHOULD BE READY GRADUALLY PAY UP TO 2 EVEN 3 TIMES OF DAY 1 CONRACT ... this really needs to be stopped...Review of 2019: The storage and the office were very clean and tidy, prices were reasonable and the office agent, Rachelle was very welcoming. She was understanding and fast, gave me the info, no push and polite.

It's excellent at keeping your stuff safe. Staff and management are always friendly and helpful when needed. Loses stars for: There are no available rubbish bins/dumpsters on-site. The one pair of restrooms are frequently locked. Courtesy carts have gone from 3 down to 2. Edit: my earlier criticisms were quickly addressed, changing review from 3 ⭐️ to 5⭐️!

I googled this Public Storage location because it was convenient to my home. Renting a storage space was easy because I made a reservation to see the facility and rent a space. I also encouraged my daughter to get a storage unit which she did online. The day we were to move into the unit we were told the elevator wasn't working. After moving several items via the stairs we came down and were told they had a work around and we were able to use the elevator then. Okay, I get that stuff happens but the staff seemed cavalier about the whole thing. The second visit was a disaster. We arrived at the time stated on their website for their office hours but no one was there. Over the next two hour we left eight messages because my daughter wasn't able to access her unit. We had movers coming at a specific time to unload our truck and were getting anxious. No one showed up or returned our phone messages. If your looking to speak to a human being it is impossible to do so. Then I went to my unit, and found water in it and several others. An AC Unit had overflowed the previous day and a small buck placed under the leak but was too small to catch all the water. By this time I had had it and we went next door to U-Haul storage and got great service. When I returned to PS the lobby that afternoon the manager was there and I made my complaint. They apologized several times and explained they had been at a managers meeting. You would think that knowing they would be out they would have had one person on location at the stated opening time to handle problems. The manager agreed to refund the cost of the lock (which you can only use at a PS facility) for my daughter's unit only because it was never occupied. They also cancel the next months service but could or would not refund her rental. I would not recommend using PS at this or any other location.

Could not have had better service than from Mary and her associate in helping me find a location and the right unit. The service was top notch and highly recommend this storage place. Most of all I’m glad I got the climate controlled unit.

I'm leaving as soon as I can find the time and arrange. I've been a customer for over 20 years. They constantly raise or try to raise my rent, with nothing to show for it. They are currently trying to charge me $100.00 more than the local competition and $85.00 more than their published price for new customers. The local counter person was not any help and refereed me to customer care number.. who was also not any help referred me to supervisor who is flat out ignoring me. If you plan on being a new customer it sounds like an ok deal (cheaper elsewhere).. but once you are long time customer they don't care about you anymore. I made this post after several phone calls and somehow my rent was dropped about $50.00 which is still higher than the published rate and other local storage places. ***AFTER THIS POST***: They were able to adjust my rent down to the local competition. and I had to open a new account and go through some theatre. And they actually asked me to take down this review. No.. I still lost probably $1000.00 in over charges with me blindly accepting all the rent increases. Over the next year they will probably try and raise my rent at least $20.00 ***Update April 2023*** Now they are trying to raise my rent $100.00 over the published rent... seriously!! They say rent increase due to current security and maintain ace of my unit..which is the exact same as what they are publishing. **********June 2015************************ After several phone calls and in person visits I received a call from a district or regional manager telling me that the published rate is for new customers only and basically designed as a hook to attract new business. He promised to call me back later that day after reviewing my situation. A few days later someone else called me back with "good news" they are able to lower my rent to only $42.00 above the published rate. No help to resolve the fact that they overcharged me for several months because I used autopay. But I was informed to expect rent increases again.

I have been at this storage in Katy for the last few years ! The Manager Mary has always been very nice, very professional and has always helped me with anything that I needed. Also this storage is very clean when I come here. 👍

I went to this location to meet a person selling their stored washer and dryer here. As I was waiting, I noticed the facility is clean , (well thought out before it was built ) very easy to get in and out with a moving truck or with a trailer and nice and secure. Oh yeah and very big. 2 thumbs up to the Architect and design team. If I needed to put my stuff in storage.. I would sleep well knowing my unit is safe at this location.

It’s been a challenging year with health and finances and it’s amazing to be able to have a business service that shows they will try to work with you and keep business flowing. I was due for an auction today and miraculously I was able to pay everything but a small portion, until God showed up. As I called to inform Mary the balance was paid in full, at the same time, she placed a request to waive late fee to the GM and it was approved immediately. Worst storage experience I have ever dealt with. The employees are incompetent. They only want their money and then are absolutely NO HELP. The “on site” property manager doesn’t answer I doubt they even are on property. You are better off at any other storage, don’t come here if you want any type of assistance or help.

Outstanding PS location! It's right off 10, and there's a huge U-Haul center across the street. Customer service is excellent. I made an online reservation and turned up an hour later. Everything was ready to go, no hassles or headaches. Very smooth move-in process. Mary went above and beyond, and did a terrific job explaining things. Plus the facility's very modern/clean with a spacious layout (plenty of room for a large truck or trailer). Thank you!

This was really a great short term option. I currently store my stuff there but that will change due to price increases every 3 months. I'm now paying more than 2x the initial agreement.

The level of service at this storage facility is outstanding! Specifically the manager, Mary. She went out of her way to make sure we felt accommodated, as well as explaining the pricing program. This is my husband and I first time looking for a storage. I felt stressed for weeks from the cost to leave my belongings at a place that I would not have full access to for 24/7. But I left with great satisfaction and feel relief. Eternity helped us and was beyond amazing. She was able to answer all of our questions, inform us with every detail of the process before and after & she made us feel safe that we are able to trust to leave our things at the storage. She wasn’t pressuring us one bit, she showed that she genuinely care about us and our property. Now a days you do not see that type of customer service any more. We will definitely come back and have her help us finish the process. Also Mary was very welcoming and supportive for Eternity. She was proud of how Eternity took care of us. This was my fiancé's and I first time ever getting a storage, and we were skeptical about it. When we walked in, Eternity (employee) was attentive, friendly and informative. She begun to explain how the storage units worked, and answered our questions before we could even ask them! She gave us a tour to give us a better insight and even gave us our best options based off of what we wanted to store. Once again Mary has done it again, one of the door handles and fallen of and two ladies from Hope LLC we’re trying to store some merchandise for the homeless, she put in a work order to be repaired and the had not arrived, meanwhile these ladies needed to store the merchandise from donations, Mary didn’t hesitate, she told the ladies don’t and disappeared when she returned she had a hammer in her hand and said it is fixed.The ladies we’re truly amazed. I want to let everyone know about Mary. I have used this storage facility since I relocated to Houston and have nothing but great things to say about this place off 150 Dominion Dr, Katy, TX 77450 all because of Mary, when I first started using the storage facility and went to clean somethings out and forgot the picture my 17 year old son bought me with his first check, I believe it was gone, hurt my heart but thanks to Mary she recovered it for me. When it was time for my exit to move things out, I didn't pay attention that they lock the door at a certain time and realized that the lock was still on my key and couldn't go back in to recover the last box which was important, the workers did a clean out because no lock was present, the box of items was put in the dumpster, Mary went outside to the dumpster and recovered my items, I appreciate her dedication and the compassion she shows towards her tenants, we need more like her on this planet.

I Sherita Britton os a customer at public storage and I love it here the employee Mrs. Mary is very great and wonderful she is very nice sweet kind and very helpful she always makes me feel like I am at home she always have a 😃 smile on her face and she goes above and beyond to help everyone she deserve a raise in her pay she works very hard.

We recently moved to Texas from out of state storing our belongings for two months at Public Storage on 150 Dominion, Katy. Upon closing our storage unit we encountered an issue that needed resolution. Thankfully Mary was in the office. Mary was very cordial, listened intently and with a cheerful attitude assured me she would do the best she could to help me. Sure enough she resolved the issue. I went to hand her a tip which she refused and said the smile on my face was the best tip I could give. Public Storage I commend your employee Mary! Just moved my storage here and I love it! Very secure, elevators work and there’s always extra dollys in the lobby. Mrs. Mary is the best! Make sure you speak with her to ensure you get the best tour/units at the best price.

Needed to use the bathroom and it wasn't 5:00 pm yet and the bathroom doors were already locked. Not right!

Fair prices and good service. Monthly rental rates are adjustable at managements discretion which puts the renter at risk. The contract states they 'may' give you 30 days notice of a price change. In other words they're not obligated to and I'm told this often happens so don't be surprised if you're charged as much as 50% more than the prior month.
