Samuel Washington should be head of customer service for Public Storage. I have been a customer for 22 years. I have had many bad encounters with poorly trained employees. It boarded on the level of rudeness. Sam in an earth angel. He deserves to be in upper management training managers. Rarely have I had a person who was so kind to me and not be a friend.
He is a friend now. I would hate to lose him, but he is an excellent ambassador for Public Storage.

With a move close upon me- I called this location and spoke with Aiesha- she was so pleasant and helpful. I was not sure of size & capacity. and now confident with that and price point - I can check that off my to do list. It was good. But the security seal was broken. Not sure if someone came and made an extra key with the keys inside the storage. That's very concerning for me but I will double lock it.
employees, very sweet company prices are a rip off How can in one year you go up so much 80 to 110.00 Are you serious 30.00 dollars , taking advantage of customers? wow Don't think the owners care about customer service they lose a lot of customers taking advantage of them like that , at first they make you think you're getting a good deal It's a front, and then they answer your comments. I did that before too. I was a customer service manager for years , I got five stars because I didn't mislead my customers. I was honest and took care of them. I'm sure the owners would not like to be taken advantage of if it was them , Rather they purchase or rent or buy so think about how we feel Because we are your customers and we bring you business sad how some people run their business and I see you only answer the good reviews no comments on the bad That sad too

Shameka is the absolute best! Super sweet and very helpful. Rent was increased WITH notice but I had missed that email and was able to find it afterwards. I called to get more information on my bill and the increase rent and she was super understanding and informative and was able to have my rent kept at the same rate for the next 6 months. This is sad to say because they have some really good employees that work here and are very nice But my RV was stolen from here. The security for this facility is very weak and people can just follow others through after they open the gate. It was a very sad moment for my family, and I was hoping that They would offer some type of discount for at least the months that my RV was stolen from here But I got nothing in return and not even a phone call from the owner. I’ll never trust a public storage again
Beware I have been at this location for a year and my rent has went up twice. Was paying 56.00 plus you have to have insurance which is another 15.00. So first time it went up I had to pay 74.00 plus 15.00. NOW IT WENT UP TO 99.00 PLUS 15.00. This is crazy!! Going to see if I can find a better place for my stuff because this is crazy!! DON'T FALL FOR THE CHEAP RATE BEFORE YOU KNOW IT YOU'LL BE PAYING HIGH AS RENT. BEFORE I KNOW IT BY THE END OF THIS YEAR I'LL BE PAYING OVER 180 FOR STORAGE. STAY AWAY!!! LOOK ELSEWHERE.
My experience today with Chameka Brandon and Samuel was best good 10/10 do recommend. Storage units were clean they were friendly and fast.

Shameka greeted me as soon as I walked into the store. I've been pretty frazzled during this last move, and I didn't really plan ahead as to what I would need. Shameka listened to a brief description of my moving needs and then suggested a solution that I didn't even know was available. She was so kind and patient with me. She and her team even took extra care of an issue that arose when I packed the car too tightly.
On this visit, I didn't need a storage unit, but when I asked about them, she reassured me as to what might meet my needs should I need one during this move. Thank you, Shameka, for being so friendly and helpful--your kindness means the world during this stressful time! :-)
Schameka is an excellent rep at this location and has made my use of this facility extremely smooth and pleasant! Since day one she has gone above and beyond to help me settle into my storage space....I was given an excellent rate and all my needs were taken care of...this location is very secure, organized, clean and tidy...if you need a place to store your property this is definitely the place to go!

Do not come here. The rent has went up twice in a year and people are stealing from tenants units. They are not even trying to help refund the money that was stolen from me.

I find the manager, Chamekia, at this location rude and inconsiderate. I had a moving company deliver my contents, when they got ready to leave in their tractor trailer they circled the building to find the gate on the opposite of the building locked without access panels. I went inside and asked them to open the gate and they told me they couldn't, they didn't have a key. I find that hard to believe as they would have to give access to the fire department in the event of an emergency. So couldn't? Or wouldnt? In either case Chamekia's interaction with me was rude and short and unapologetic to the situation we were in. It took the trucking company 15 minutes to back around the building and exit.

The customer service is really good but I must say, if I compare the location on Hayes Rd to this one, I would choose Hayes. First off, there's only one pulley cart in each section. That means, if 2-3 people come in to transport their belongings into their storage, you will not have anything to put your stuff on. Secondly, it's one way in and one way out. I thought I could go around to the exit gate to get out but nope, that gate doesn't even work. I had to back all the way out and go to the the entrance gate to exit. Lastly, I have so much trouble with pulling my latch close to lock my storage door.

They were sooooooo patient with me and resolve my issue. No one never rushed me, and they listened to what I had to say to understand how to resolve my issue. And they worked it out as a TEAM!!! Never had no problems till my packages got returned. Had me sign paperwork, sign my signature stating I would have any packages shipped directly to my unit I even gave em my lock combination. I had 3 packages returned to shipper, stuff that was important on my daughter's birthday month. Messing up relationship with company. Idk , just not understanding why I signed all that paperwork if what I was told was far from the truth. It was indirect signature anyone at the business can sign.
It's coo, y'all can use feelings instead of business protocol, I'ma move on I'ma grown man but I'm going to speak up on what isn't right, and that wasn't right. I'll take my business elsewhere where people care about people's lives.

Very rude staff I got robbed here they broke into my locker that did not compensate me at least they could have knocked something off the bill and they even picked up there prices from $60 to $100 very unsatisfied with the customer service the staff have no people skills negative stars
They bait new customers with a good low rent price. But screw over the long term customers by jacking up the rent every 3 months by 30-50 dollars. This place is crazy if they think people will pay those crazy prices for a small unit.

The only reason I am giving 5 stars is because of the manager, Shamekia at the 59 and wilcrest location. I am upset at public storage as a whole for raising rates to ridiculously unaffordable amounts and penalizing long time customers, but I wanted to give this young women a shout out. Her customer service is impeccable and she bends over backwards to make a bad situation better. Your company is lucky to have her. She is very helpful and really tried to help me solve my problem and is patient and kind.

The only guy there was stretched a little thin Plus he goes from location to that location so he didn't know his way around all that well. Certainly not terribly friendly.
My experience at this location was very pleasant. I accompanied my mother to find a storage and the young lady named Erin was very helpful. My mother is elderly and Erin was very patient and thorough in explaining the process. My mother just kept talking about her conversation with her which is why it was definitely worth this review. It made her day! Thanks again for great service.
I hadn't really been there until I picked up my key. I just gave a quick evaluation without a second thought. I like that it's close to home, climate controlled, reasonably priced, clean and secure. All the associates were polite and helpful. I guess my review was based on my previous experience at another storage facility. When I read the response to my review, it was obvious that this place was different. So, this is the different review. Lol

The climate control works great, elevator no issues, very clean. They should have staff walk around when people are using the storage it's spooky by yourself in the back there.
Safe place to store personal items and climate controlled.
Keep in mind these list below in this facility there is :
- No heavy trash Dumpster
- No Trash bins( if you have trash you have to store it or take it with you, which this is ridiculous)
- No gate Remote (will always get off your car and input the code to get in and get out. As well as the Elevator.
- No Push Buggy or Cart to move stuff around need your own.

Rented a storage space here. It went well besides the clerk trying to make me include an extra fee for insurance on my space. However, my adult daughter was with me worked at Public Storage for 7 yrs and was a a live in property manager told me that wasn't true to her face and she immediately caught an attitude with her...
I have been using this facility for more than 10 years - just can't bear to part with my mom's stuff! During that time there have been many property managers, some good and some bad, but Chamekia (I hope I'm spelling that right) is among the very BEST! She is a 'can-do' person and will go out of her way to help you out. She can make things happen! Plus she is friendly and outgoing - she's a real asset to Public Storage!
My move-in went really smooth and I'm so glad there were carts available to use. Made the whole process a lot easier lol. Shout out to Chamekia and Erin, they are both beyond helpful!!! 10/10 service ☺️
