Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 6712 Ringgold Road, East Ridge, TN

TL;DR One star for corporate doing the right thing. Zero stars for Katie from this location. I started renting here in the middle of last month when I saw a deal. The discount applies to the first full month. I set up auto payments which pull on the 1st and thought nothing more. Today, the 19th I received a text and email that my unit would be auctioned if I didn’t send in immediate payment. I checked my account to realize autopay never pulled and my $8 bill turned to $28. I called and asked why auto-pay didn’t pay, and Katie told me it was something wrong with my bank but later said that this is a regular occurrence at Public Storage. When I asked if she could reverse the charge since no one notified me before today, Katie said no way. She said I could try calling corporate but they’d route us back to her. She said she’d usually credit the late fee to the next month but since I’m new, they won’t do it. After reluctantly giving me corporate’s phone number, she made it clear that I’m wasting my time (spoiler: I wasn’t). While speaking with corporate, they investigated my account and immediately offered to refund the $20 late fee. Not what Katie said she’d do for customers of at least a year - have them pay it then credit the account for the next month.. interesting. Anyhow, I called Katie back to let her know that corporate must have changed something, and would you believe she got snarky with me? She said “well I’ve been here 8 years, they’ve never done that.” Honey, I’m nothing special. I’m just not about to pay a late fee when I did my due diligence to make sure my bills were paid.

Absolutely disgusting rented here for over a year and every time I came back found rat droppings all over the unit and my last two times before I moved all my stuff out for literally dead rats. The entire unit smells like rat pee and they chewed through half of my stuff. Not to mention the rent went from 140 to 200 a month. Paying 200 a month for my stuff to be covered in rat poop and pee. So happy to be out of this disgusting place.

My partner rents a ten by ten unit here. It meets all expectations of a standard non climate control unit and overall storage facility. We make a point of maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the unit we rent here so as to lower the potential for rodent and/or insect infestation. Unlike in another unit I rented previously within a different facility, I have not ever seen even the first sign of any pests in or around the property thus far. I have noticed that the staff here are frequently adressing the overall tidiness of the vacant and recently vacated units as well as the aisles and fence lines throughout and all around the facility. The staff members we have interacted with since renting here have all been very polite and professional and helpful when answering any and all questions. We feel confident in the safety and security of our stored belongings due to the presence of a keypad for entering each individual renters' unique pin number on the outside to enter as well as the inside to exit. There is also neat option within the public storage app which allows you to control the gate with your phone directly from the set proximity rather than having to pull up to the keypad and manually enter the pin each time. The facility is not accessible 27/7. The gate will not open late into the evening after dark or before a certain time of morning, and while this has been, on certain occasions, slightly inconvenient, we understand and appreciate the limitations for their added security and safety benefits. Overall, we are highly satisfied with Public Storage ringgold rd and would be likely to recommend it to anyone looking for a good place to store their stuff for a reasonable rate.

I rate this facility 5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 because of Craig's professionalism and integrity. The office management at Property #27902 in East Ridge is always very professional, extremely helpful, courteous, and willing to answer all of our stupid questions with a smile. Thanks, Craig & Katie for helping us feel at ease about storing our belongings at your location instead of the competitor's business. We are very pleased with the lock you sold us as well. We look forward to continue doing business with Public Storage for years to come.

Awesome customer service!

I was referred from the location located in downtown Chattanooga i called yesterday and i got off the phone with the lady and she said she would be here until 6 pm i arrived around 3:30 and nobody was there i waited a whole hour to see if someone would come nobody came. I was advised that the location would be open tomorrow I'm here today and nobody is in the building to help me .

The amount of rats in this storage facility is unacceptable.

Rat infested! Unless you want rat feces and urine all over everything in your storage do not rent here. Also in just a little over a year the price has gone up so many times I was paying almost double what it was when I rented it.

Rented a unit online. Had the gate code and unit number. Arrived unloaded belongings locked my unit. As we went to leave cops showed up. The property manager called them and said we were trespassing. We had no reason to be there. Had to take and load all of our stuff back up and leave. Yet they sure did take their $52.00 from my account and have yet to refund it or explain why this happened. Public storage is a terrible place to rent from.

Excellent, courteous staff, good pricing and variety of different size spaces. The only issue I have is with the hours of operation as they close at 9pm - 6am...which is not necessarily too bad, but have needed access after 9 pm and was unable to. (I use for work and store inventory) For the average person though, this is probably a non-issue.

The guy who works here is a extremely rude person 🤬 All I can say is you better thank God 🙏 my ol man didn't whip your butt like you really deserved.. Because you definitely deserved it. Our house literally burned to the ground we have absolutely nothing now except for what we have in our storage and you had the nerve to get in my husband's face and say such rude awful things. Then made him Leave the property because we were late on our storage bill. Then you proceeded to get in my face and you literally made me cry I have never been treated so horribly in all my life by someone who was supposed to be a professional in customer service.. Katie you have always been super nice to me. You really need to wake up and fire this sob

It's an easy process. The staff know all the information and communicate well. The locker no longer has lighting. That is not ideal but the price is right.

I had checked around different places they all had a catch, adding extra fees and the prices were outrageous. When I went to Public Storage the lady was very nice, helpful, explained everything step by step and they were cheaper than anyone around! Very nice storage units! I was in and out in 15 minutes. First time renting a storage building, the employees made this a great experience and ensured my belonging were secure after multiple times of me leaving my key in the lock or the door not closed properly, they were always so kind when calling me to make sure everything was okay.

Use this place if you want yourself and your minor child to to feel like a hostage locked in with for 30 MINUTES!! Got to the exit gate at 8:59, pin wouldn't work, called after hours line at 9:00 since there is no emergency exit button or management contact. Absolutely ridiculous!!! 😡Most storage facilities you can't get in beyond a certain hour, but you can always out or immediately reach management in an emergency. This is unacceptable! My poor daughter on the spectrum was panicking because it was poorly lit, felt trapped, and we were getting zero answer from after hours services due to "understaffing." Then the staff had zero sense of urgency or care.

RENT GOUGING. They doubled my rent in the past 18 months. Went from $125 in March 2021 to $225 in September 2022 with no upgrade at the property. Enough said.
