Shana was very helpful. It's my first time getting a storage unit. She made it easy to understand.

My personal items were damaged because the Public Storage facility did not properly provide environmental protection from the outside elements (rain). They should take responsibility for their inability to maintain their facility properly. We had been renting an inside, climate-controlled 5x10 space for over 10 months. On 30 January 2025, we went to move our items out of that space and into a 10x10 space. Once we moved the first boxes at the entrance of our locker, we noticed that there were puddles of water on the floor and that it had soaked into our boxes and damaged our items. Numerous items were covered in mold and were ruined. Upon further inspection, it was obvious that water had leaked from the outside door of the facility and leaked across the facility floor into our storage locker. I immediately went to the office and got Patrick, who worked for Public Storage. He took videos and pictures as well, acknowledging that the water had enter from the outside and leaked into our unit. I showed him our damaged items and also provided him additional pictures via text message. He said we would notify Sherrie, the DM and that she would be in touch. This was on 30JAN2025. On 10 FEB, I contacted the Public Storage “WE CARE” line since the Sherrie, the DM had still not reached out to me. On 11 FEB, Sherrie did contact me and said that there is nothing they could do since I did not purchase insurance from Public Storage. My damage was caused because the Public Storage facility did not properly provide environmental protection from the outside elements (rain). Employees should have noticed the water running in from the outside, through the door, and into my unit. If they had done proper checks and maintenance, they could have notified me earlier of possible water leaking into my unit, and we could have prevented this damage. This was not caused by one event. This was caused by numerous events over a period of time.

I was handled very efficiently and professionally.

We have been renting storage units here for over a year. The staff is professional and friendly. The property and storage units are very clean and well maintained. This is a well run business and we believe that our property that is stored here is very safe and secure.

The building is clean and Shana is very polite and handle all my concerns accordingly.

Excellent customer service and VERY clean facility and all storage lockers are easy to get to.

Rental unit is fine. My rate constantly increases...went from $85 a month to $245 a month over 2 years. I will be looking for other options.

They increase rent every few months. My rent went from $25 to $95 in just a few increments.Thats when I left. Staff however are exceptional. Increase is beyond their control as that is generated by corporate.

Robin was extremely helpful finding me the best storage unit for my needs. She was a pleasure to work with and I would definitely recommend Public Storage.

Shana of Public Storage at 55 Matthews Drive in Hilton Head fielded my reservation from SpareFoot and surprised me with her concern to assure my friend found the best accommodation for his boat. She even followed up several times to ensure we were aware that the reservation was not finalized and at risk of not getting the only spot on sale that works best with his boat. Usually it’s only when an owner is involved that I see this level of customer service and I’m impressed! Thank you!

Went to Public Storage to rent a unit, my experience went smooth Thanks to Shana very pleasant and friendly attitude. She was professional and answered all my questions. Definitely would recommend stopping in to talk to Shana if you’re looking for storage space.

Just vacated my 10×10 storage unit at 55 Mathews Drive and although my space was raised a few months ago...let's blame it on the economy gouging stayed a couple months longer. Soooo I decided to look on line (curiosity)to see what the prise is and it went from me paying $125 to $215 in a matter of hours. Public Storage should be ashamed of the astronomical price gougong. PATHETIC!!!!!
