Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 3108 Northern Blvd, Long Island City, NY

Quick and easy process. The staff was friendly, helpful, and answered all our questions. Way better than cubesmart!

Now I booked on May 19th, 2024 and I am supposed to get one month for just $1 but instead, I was charged anyway for June for $11.67 on top of the $51.77 charge for the first-time fee $30, and lock. So what happened? I don't know, but I sure did not get my first month for $1, and the staff at the location were confused as to why I did not receive the promotion deal as advertised. Public Storage needs to explain why. BUT THEY ARE NOT GOING TO. Update From August 23rd to September 2nd, 2024, public storage just refused to fix the elevator, and the alarm is causing me to have a headache and a seizure and called this morning, and the young lady was rude. You do not talk to customers with an attitude. They need to learn how to answer and listen to phone calls. I do not have an issue with one employee, and he has been helpful, but the other staff! NAH..... Update Sept 18th, 2024 Eliji came to me like a professional and asked if everything was okay. I said yes, it'll be better. He has been the most polite staff here so far and is always looking for customers. He just wanted to make sure that my unit was OK and my experience. Thank Eliji always for chatting with customers and making sure they have the best experience Update; On October 6th, 2024, another customer came up to me and said a quote " Customer: "You must be the photographer they are talking about." Me: Say what? Customer: Well, people told me that I am not allowed to stay too long in the storage, and they told me that they had to kick out a photographer for loitering. Me: Really? I was not loitering as they claimed, I have it all on video. I record everything I do in the storage facilities, and as a photographer, my gear-in equipment is here when I need to do off-off-shooting photography or something for the city of New York. But this is the second time hearing this from customers, and I'd feel disrespected by using my experience and myself as a way to inform customers on something that never happens. I will be extremely public storage because I have proof of what I do all the time on YouTube and why I always and will always continue to document my experience in public storage. As someone who holds city credentials for the NYC PRESS, this will be a good story to show people working at these places, I can record anything I am doing to my storage for insurance purposes when preparing gear for a job or covering stories of crime and corruption. I AM NOT a FAN OF HEARING ABOUT THIS. NO, it's not Eijiah either that's saying this or telling other customers. NOT COOL TO USE ME AS A STORY. Yes, that day, as I was preparing for a shoot, one of the staff didn't see the GOPRO recording the whole time on livetstream. I will be releasing the video to the public from my YT channel as that video was private and not listed as public. (Someone told me not to delete this part of the video, and normally, I will blue people faces but not this time) FYI: my RENT INCREASE ALREADY from $10 to $13 a month now, but sometimes in the mornings, there is no one there at opening. Back gates and doors are always locked all the time (video proof at 9:07am), not open, but you have to walk to the front in order to get to the back. Its facility isn't clean all the time. Im start to get fed up with inconsistency

Public storage has good prices. When I called them they were very helpful and knowledgeable about answering all of my questions. We ended up renting a storage with them and everything went smoothly.

Facility is mostly good. Bathrooms pretty good. Elevator too. I cannot speak for the entire staff. But there are some very rude employees and others seem to just sit around all day. I would recommend going elsewhere unless you need cheapest price. Pricing is good. I’d get out now bc the unpleasant employees but all my stuff is there. Avoid if you can!

My experience was pleasant, it was a very busy day at the Public Storage. It was also raining very hard. Darnèe and his team did an excellent job of making sure all my questions were answered.

My husband and I were in to get information on units as we’re slightly overflowing in our apt. The front desk was so nice and helpful with selecting a unit. They showed us what to expect and answered any questions we had. We were in and out in about 30 minutes with the lock to our unit. Very helpful, quick service.

Ah, mini storage. A wonderful convenience if you find yourself moving from a larger apartment into a less spacious one and have made the mistake of collecting stuff that you haven't really culled through for too long. They make it very easy to get your stuff into their spaces with bargain prices for a short period of time. Then reality hits; and it will keep on hitting. Know that their business model is to get you in their spaces, expecting that many of us will find it difficult to get rid of our excess stuff quickly enough to avoid what can easily be multiple 25%+ increases. I began in a space for $109/mo. A bit over a year later, they were threatening me with $192/mo. Speaking with other companies, this is not uncommon in the industry. The negatives being listed, there's a reason I put up 5 stars for Public Storage. And that is, their people will work with you: they gave me 3 months grace before my first increase when I protested and threatened to move out. And when they gave me the notification of the increase to $192, I WAS going to move my stuff out. But their staff (specifically, Elijah) worked with me and found another space at a level a bit below what I originally came into the facility at. That their people on site worked with me - and their corporate overseers allowed them to do so - is what prompted me to give a positive review. It is worth adding that I had a conversation with a higher up in the corporate structure about what my concerns were and, once again, received deference from the company regarding my rental. I have to admit, this was a very unexpected positive surprise that allowed me to rethink my rating of the company and bump it up to a full 5 stars. I wouldn't have expected to feel comfortable doing this, but the unexpectedly excellent customer service I've received from them deserved to be acknowledged. This is a rough and tumble business that relies on a degree of entrapment; granted that we, the renters, are the ones who could get ourselves out of those traps, if we act responsibly. But they know that many will not and that is how they make their money. That being said, in this potentially difficult environment, to know that this company will make an effort to keep your business is something worthy of being complemented.

I have to say the best! I been here for a little over a year and the customer service is beyond hospitality for a storage place feels like home. I recently had some minor issues with my unit and Jamie and Elijah at front desk really helped me out with the process and I could not ask for more. I am extremely grateful they helped me out. Seems like a clean, well-maintained facility. Monthly charge is around 40% below the competition. Jamie at the front desk was very friendly and helpful, patiently explaining the process and charges.

Good Great Attention Work Working Stability Yet

No trash areas available. People that work here are so entitled and make the most of whatever tiny ounce of power over tenants they got. Every time I’ve interacted with people from this facility or the one next door they made moving (which is stressful enough) even worst. Horrible schedule. No access to a trash area which is basic in this type of facility. There are homeless living in the pods.

I've moved a few months ago to this area and had trouble finding a place to store my belongings for the time being. I was greeted by Luis who was exceptional. He was very knowledgeable of the information given and was very polite. He had exceptional customer service and made sure I understood what the units size and the prices were before agreeing to anything. Awesome place!

This location is the best. They made it so easy for me to understand the process of moving in and how the promotional rate works, especially Quay. He explained everything in a very detailed fashion.

My friend is in the middle of moving and find new apartment, so she need the place to store her stuff. I found this location is near area she want to live and the price is better than another storage in the area. The reception was ok but too lazy to be adjusting and not flexible if any changing request. Small garage area can fit several cars for temporary loading. they have a good big elevator can fit 3 big Platform Truck. The place pretty secured and have limit of time to go in and out. The light and temperature are automatically control by the system. It is a bit creepy if you go to get stuff in your storage alone because it will be nobody there.

I started a new storage space rental today. I made a reservation online and took care of the rest at the office. The online promo prices were better than any other storage facility in the area. Everyone there was friendly and welcoming. Luis helped me get through the whole process. He even showed me the space I was renting before the contract was finished. Luis was helpful & friendly, even when his computer stopped cooperating briefly. He explained everything as we went along, and we were done in just minutes! I had a great experience and I would definitely recommend renting at this location.

Hi I’m Maria I was renting the room for a years to treat me like that not good when I moved trying to put some broken Manniguin in the public storage trash and one off the two guys they came to me don’t put Manniguin there this own garbage you it $10.000 fine that’s the guys telling me I don’t recommend that’s much that’s not good 😏

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Public Storage spot on Northern Blvd as I am in the process of moving and need to find affordable storage fast, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff Wayneca greeted me and went above and beyond to ensure my comfort in staying in the price range I was looking for and satisfaction. I don’t usually remember names however she was very helpful and answered all my questions. Great customer service I must say I was so impressed with her professionalism I had to leave a review.

I came in wanting to know how can I go about getting storage. Not only did I walk into a clean well kept facility let me just say Wayneca and Jesse went above and beyond. They fed me information about the different sizes and my possible options all meanwhile giving a kind, friendly and welcoming energy while giving me a tour. The customer service alone make me sure to comeback to do business with the company.

I was very happy to rent a unit at this public storage location not only did they have an awesome deal on promotion Zaiah the front desk agent had called me prior to my move in date to make my Inquery go as smooth as possible. The day i moved in to my unit Zaiah was very helpful and very informative while giving us a tour of the location and chaperoned us to our storage unit. The hospitality at this public storage location get 5Stars. I have met more staff members since I rented my unit and everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. The only thing I have to say is the elevators close way to fast and I find my self fighting with the doors but other than that the places is great!

I want to thank Wayneca for literally going above and beyond...I has a rough moment during my storage as I lost my lock in the process and it was end of the day and she was able to help me with so much grace and left Me feeling so at ease ...she got ne a temporary lock and walked with me to my unit. Then when I came back today she was again very helpful and walked back with me to secure all and was just the friendliest person ever making the entire process that should been hectic really easy on me. She is super organized and really great customer service..more then I expected!

Wayneca & Lady deliver great service.

The location, prices + size options are decent but their hours are not ideal. And also the lack of parking is a big issue. The entrance is right on northern Blvd so you can't exactly park on the bicycle lanes or double or even illegally park. The unloading zone faces 2 big roll gates and you can't park cars behind other vehicles unloading because you'll be blocking the exit. Most patrons dropping off will need time to unload and bring it into their unit. All in all logistically it's not the most ideal. Check in and storage access is pretty straight forward. If you live in Manhattan this is a great spot. If you don't mind driving more into queens, there are certainly less expensive places with better hours and more convenient parking. Update Jan 03: The manager or someone in charge reached out and informed me that there's a bigger unloading bay/entrance in the back of the building. Still, while it should be better explained, the hours can still be better. I will bump this up from a *** to a **** because it is still a great location and the check-in/signup was seamless and the customer relations did reach out numerous times to see if there was anything I needed.

Wayneca was extremely helpful with filling out the paperwork. The facility is new and clean. The reception area is bright and cheerful. Wayneca really made my experience unforgettable. I will tell all my friends who need storage to ask for her.

New location they dont advertise it on google yet they have special prices , NEw facility: 5*8H* 53usd, and small locker under 20$ 5*5, ( as per 12/27/2022 thry gave me this price) highly reccomend. JOE cistomer support on site was really nice showing me all spaces available.

I was looking for a new storage and did research. Their prices were reasonable and most importantly they honored their online promotion. They are a very new business and were very courteous and professional. The units are new and clean.

We recently rented space at this Public Storage facility, and our initial impression is very positive. Zaiah was a great help setting us up, patiently answering all our questions. As a new building, with a second one under construction next door, it’s competitively priced. In addition, it’s very clean, seems to be well-managed, and is conveniently located near public transit in LIC.

He shows several available units for comparison, explains the rental process/agreements and answers questions clearly with patience. Thank you for making this storage rental experience easily. The space is new, clean and bright! Highly recommended!

The crew at this Public Storage location in the Long Island City section of Queens was friendly, knowledgeable, and top notch. Moreover, Zaiah, the team member who handled my account, was easy going, informative, and he helped make a potentially difficult situation far less monotonous. He realized I was about to rent the wrong type of space for my needs and helped my friend and I transfer into a much more adequate space. I travel a lot between New York and L.A. — as well as places in between and abroad — and it’s rare to experience this level of courtesy and service (anywhere other than a Michelin starred restaurant, maybe). However, If you need to stowe away items in a trouble free manner, then Public Storage is the place; Zaiah is the man for the plan.

Gissel was absolutely an amazing rockstar in getting me acclimated to this brand new facility. Her customer service skills was excellent and I truly appreciated the care and patience for the assistance I required.

Zaiah was Ana amazing help getting me a storage unit and navigating with the differences between the online price and the walk in price. He showed me my options through every step of the way. Thank you. The pricing was a tad confusing but was explained.

This is a fantastic brand-new and clean safe place their prices are fantastic and the staff are totally amazing especially Joe Chris zaiah Quay They answered all my questions very polite courteous and professional they were eager to show me my unit into tour me of the facility if I wanted to the staff made this process so easy
