Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 2830 E Desert Inn, Las Vegas, NV

I don't know who could possibly give this place a good rating. I parked my car there and I understand if your stuff is vandalized. You're storing it at your own risk. However, I expect it to at least get a phone call to let me know. My vehicle was broken into not only did they not give me a phone call. They didn't even try to secure the belongings that were remaining in the vehicle. You prevent it from being stolen. Not only was my stuff stolen but my battery was taken out of my car. I couldn't believe these people. They said they tried to reach me several times to the employee. I'm to inform me, but never once did I get a voicemail. However, when I was late on my payment, they sure did reach me and get ahold of me when they wanted something like my registration. They sure didn't reach me and get ahold of me. Only when my vehicle was vandalized.Did I not hear anything from them

i’ve been renting a 5x5 since 2021 and have been out of state the past 3 years. i have never been late on my payments and i never hear anything from public storage. my rate started at $40 a month and all of a sudden about a year and a half ago it went up to $111. i asked why my rate was changed to more than half of my usual rate and they told me “for making improvements” okay. i recently moved back to vegas and went to my storage and absolutely somebody tried to break in to it. i go to the office at around 12 pm and no one is even there. no one was answering the phone and i couldn’t even get into my unit because the metal and door were broken. i found out from another person renting there that they aren’t even in the office until about 2pm, and at 2pm they say they take their “lunch”. the lady at the office told me that the other person that worked there got transferred to another storage place and she was new. she took a latch off of a maintenance door and replaced the metal part of my unit so i can at least get into it. i asked about the break in and the lady said she was new and didn’t know. first off, i had no idea this storage place was being broken into in the first place- and for them not to communicate anything to me at all is outrageous. i don’t even know when the break in happened. there are also sketchy people living in the units. i wake up the next day to see my rate changed from $111 to $150. i went there that day and cleared out my unit and told them that it’s vacated now. i don’t understand how this is a 4.7 star place. $150 for a small 5x5 unit that gets broken into all the time and they have no communication? i’ve been a loyal customer for years. no thanks. i would not recommend this place to anybody.

The worst experience ever!! so I was going to rent a space, 07/24/2024, but not even hours later I canceled because I remember they change their prices after so many months you rent with them, so I canceled same day and was ordered a refund within 7-10 days (which is what they told me) ... 7 days later, WHICH IS TODAY 08/01-02/2024 - they never vacated THE unit That I never occupied - so basically the unit has just been sitting like it's being rented WHEN ITS NOT and I've never used the access code once !! sad part about it, they are giving me a hard time getting my $105 back, I've been asking about it ever since I called 07/25 - even though I've never signed any paperwork in person about this unit, never even came to the office for the unit... DO NOT RENT HERE, they will give you the runaround about Your money, and I've talked to representatives but it doesn't matter because the last one was already supposed to send my refund , No refund ... I still have access to a unit I'm not even occupying , because I rent with storage one... better choice for me, way more convenient and they seem legit for your money ... this place is a shame, just taking people's hard earned money, I'm entitled to my money back especially when I never stepped foot in this facility ! REFUND ME MY $105 For the small 5x5 I never occupied !

I don’t like to use the computer or my phone but I stopped by the girl here helped me rent and everything from my phone at a location that I would be able to get to after work. She was good staff really helped me out.

I stopped by to see what this place offers for a space. I made an account with the office lady she helped me rent and got me a better deal at another location. Saved me some money hey now. I think her name was Andre or somethin.

After 6 months they are raising my rent from $282 to $382 for a 10x20 storage unit, which is way over the local average. When I asked the reason, the company responded; 'Its month to month so we can raise it as much as we like." Cool beans Public Storage! I'm free to leave, and tell everyone I know that your company are grifters!

They set you up for failure, they want you to miss a payment that way they can sell your stuff.

The customer service here is horrible. There was only one employee when I visited and only thing he cares is his lunch break. He is not willing to help customers and does not give a damn. If you need to use Public storage, visit some other location of Public storage.

DO NOT believe all the fake reviews about how well this place is maintained and especially good customer service, it couldn't be farther from the truth, people writing those reviews couldn't possibly be real customers. My experience is very different, I've been with these guys 4 years and the place is simply HORRIBLE! Extremely rude personnel, theyre raising the price constantly (started at $125 and in 3 years its almost $300 although new customers still get the low price), all kinds of passive aggressive comments and even calls during the day like "you left at 5.03 and we're open till 5", or "you followed a car out the gate and you can't do that". Not to mention absolutely ridiculous hours of operation, you won't be able to access your belongings after 5pm. There are many honest reviews of the place mentioning all these problems and more, the rest of the reviews are probably from people who never had any business there.

This facility is very clean and appears to be well maintained. We have had a good experience with the staff. Damien in particular has been able to help us several times. It is always a pleasure to work with him.

This place continually raises its rates. I have been a customer for 4 years and have seen many rate increases. The latest one was too much. We had an increase of $25 in April and now, on June 1st an increase of $90. I will be ending my contract with this place.

All 5 star ratings are done by staff or friends or family of staff, corporate asks them to raise their property's rating for extra points. A relative of mine was paying almost double what they should have been for 3 months because a property manager refused to change the amount on their bill to the newest Public Storage price. This place is terrible. On the surface, they outsource all labor work so the employees don't do it. In reality, they only send for the labor company once every few weeks or sometimes even months, leaving property managers and other staff to do dangerous independent heavy lifting. So any time you see someone leave their storage unit full of stuff, a Public Storage employee (a majority of which are older women) has to move all of that out on THEIR OWN. I myself, and others, have seen this happening in person. I've also been told that this specific Desert Inn location fired a long-time employee after they tried assisting someone who's stuff had been broken into overnight. Do NOT rent here.

Hi! I have been with them for over a year. Had some complications here and there. Some staff have helped me. Some stressed me way out. Overall, this individual name Albert. He has put lot more effort than the others. I’m truly impressed how he’s gone beyond to assist. I like to say THANK YOU! I was going to give 4*’s but I changed my mind. So hope he continues to do his best. Manifesting everyone sees the light of goodness. Possibilities for Potential of Future positive energy. Smiles!

Tokoya has been excellent since day one provided me all the information necessary, her service is above and beyond, super professional!! They have a lot of different options , everything is clean and safe , the policies are fair and clear. If you are looking for a space to rent this is good location and good service.

Would definitely recommend checking it out in person. As is everything ok the internet, it's hard to judge space. The people at the facility on Desert in/Eastern, are wonderful. I cant think of anything bad to say! Phone people were very pleasant. They asked questions to try and "roughly" give you an idea of how big a unit you'll need. I have a 7.5'/10', for a 1 bdrm apt, no appliances, except a microwave. I have 4 bookshelves, 1 couch, all the stuff people generate over 10yrs, etc. I had to cram my apt into that unit. I originally wanted a 5'/15' but they sold out.
