Update 10/24/2024!
Everything was going great until I received a call stating owed a balance by Gabby who called & instructed me on how the move out(9/23/2024) was suppose to go!(09/30/2024)I did exactly what I was told to. I received a call stating(10/11/2024) I owed the balance due to the property not properly moving me out! I have been trying to contacted the property with no response and customer service with no help! It is highly unprofessional and has lost a customer moving forward due to lack of communication! I would not recommend!
If you're looking for the worst customer service in the world, welcome to Public Storage! We've been waiting to call a call back from district manager Kevin Walls for MONTHS. He refused to call. Today, we tried to get an answer regarding late payment to learn that this person no longer works there. Christopher Moss was supposed to return a call and he too refused to call. The poor employees are forced to be the messengers for terrible management. We want to make an arrangement to pay and no one will help. If you call the "We Care" they actually don't. They again, tell you to reach out to the local managers and no one responds. The rent continues to rise for no reason. The value of Public Storage is abysmal. They will sell your stuff if you're a month and 16 days late without zero understanding. This place is the worst. Beware. It's a rip off. My family's entire life is about to be lost forever for corporate greed.

On 08/10/24 I received the greatest help and support from the Property Manager Patrice Rice who resolved my storage space issues over and above what I expected, after having made 3 reservations, going to another location and no one was present to help Me (the location wasn’t even open at 8:30 am on a Saturday morning not advocating that Public Storage should be a 24 hour operation, b/c I understand employees need time off too) calling the reservation line and they were of no help I went to the Hopson Rd store at 4812 Hopson closest to me and Mrs Rice took ownership of my issue and fully resolved to it My satisfaction. She is to be commended for her excellent customer service, her care about my situation and her commitment to see it through she is deserving of a raise. There’s not a lot of customer service people left who understand it and will take ownership.
Came in early today and Patrice was available to help with all my needs. Showed me a couple of spaces just to be sure I got the right size. Answered all my questions and gave amazing customer service! Definitely was satisfied with my choice to rent here!

This is the worst location ever!! No one is ever here to help. I’m paying monthly for a storage but can’t get access because the lock is old and rusted. I’m always having issues trying to get in my storage. I have left multiple messages and no one calls back.
Rates increase substantially after a few months of renting. There is seldom anyone in the office on site for assistance. The app often doesn’t work to open the gates! Storage units are dirty.
Smooth and straight forward personal exchange after having had a terrible experience at one of their other locations in Cary. If it wasn’t for Shannon, I would have walked away from Public Storage. This is a location that takes customer service seriously. Highly recommend.

I give Lisa at the Hopson location 5 stars for her outstanding customer service. My overall experience with PS' call center was absolutely awful and Lisa did her best to correct their errors (frankly, lies). I recommend this location as long as you can work directly with the location and skip the call center.

Didn't see anyone on the property the whole time I had the unit, the front door was always locked, it took spamming the line for over an hour to get someone on the phone, my move out date wasn't honored, I got charged for a month that I wasn't even using the unit, then charged a late fee in trying to dispute the charges. Maybe find someone who actually staffs their locations 🤷

I paid high price $141 for the location. It has NO DOLLY AVAILABLE for months. I came to know only after I signed up and brought my stuff. The receptionist is nice but she could have mentioned about this situation upfront.

This is not a review for the state or service at this specific location, but rather Public Storage's scummy pricing tactics. I am not sure if this location has any control over pricing or if that comes from "corporate". Regardless, my rental price will have increased 54% in just over a year as I just received another notification of a price increase. I started at $74/month in May 2022 and in August 2023 the new rate will be $114/month. Their tactics are to offer a low initial rate and then jack up the price once a customer will be inconvenienced by having to remove their stored goods. It's predatory and Public Storage should be ashamed. I'll be canceling my rental agreement and removing my stored goods.
Fair warning to any potential renter: your price will go up rapidly after you sign the rental agreement, so be prepared for that.

I’ve had my fair share of struggles with storage spaces in the past, but Katina was super helpful with making sure all payment issues and space vacating steps were completed. I was pleasantly surprised with how friendly and efficient Katina was throughout my entire experience!
This is actually a six star review for Katina Moore at the Hopson store #27397. I had a very complicated problem with our corporate storage account and Katina spent 2 hours with me, in person, sorting it out. All of our accounts now have one cohesive name, phone number and email address for all of our storage units that we have. Katina got all our accounts perfect. Her district manager, Kevin Walls, should be proud of her, helping that location's largest account. Unfortunately, the call in customer service 'service' let us down to the point of possibly looking somewhere else for our storage needs. the call center refused to acknowledge that all accounts were under one name and refused to perform the task of placing all accounts under one account number. Excellent employees don't last long at companies with such poor back up support.

It was convenient from where I was moving from. However, not worth the amount. Temp control in these extremely hot days are not controlled enough because it's still pretty warm inside. Also, you should definitely have a restroom in the buildings to use and that 9pm closing time can be longer for people that may get off work past 3 and 4pm.
Great experience. At one point the gate was broken so that was tough to deal with. That’s why they get four stars. Outside of that my time here was pretty much completely online except, I lost my key and had to get a new lock. Fortunately the cost was minimal and they replaced the lock within a day. Customer service was solid. I would recommend this public storage in the future.
This is a long overdue review, so here I go!
I was in a rush to get supplies for my work and we encountered a few setbacks with getting keys for the actual unit. Tamara was able to quickly search for the key that I needed for the storage unit that had my supplies. Not only that but she was incredibly kind and patient even when I was getting nervous about the whole situation. She knew what to do and was able to get me closer to getting those supplies for my work!

I had an absolute wonderful time looking for a proper storage compartment for all of my items from Florida. Taylor took the time to listen to my reasoning for need for storage and had such a kind demeanor in helping me let my friends get everything in. She even offered to help, the sweet thing, I told her that my friends could handle all of it and there was no need to worry. Then I went ahead and baked up a nice sweet pie for her out of being such a sweetheart and helping with everything including my mental state. She is just THE BEST
