I went to put my belongings into a locker I rented from them and it already had a lock on the unit. No one in the office. Internet said they closed at 7 pm. Left messages with manager…crickets. Called help line they said “sorry there’s nothing we can do”. So I’m left with an extra day on the moving truck and no access to my unit.
Jared was very helpful and explained the details to me.

We've had our stuff stored here for about a year and a half, almost two years. While we were fully aware and ok with the unit not being climate controlled, we were NOT expecting to find not only paint chips blown half way into our unit... but *spray paint* on our rug *inside* our unit from the doors being repainted *outside*! This was extremely disappointing to find......... we will not be using this company again. I suggest whoever you're hiring for maintenance be made aware that they are ruining personal belongings of who knows how many people..........

hours said open to 9pm is not open to 9pm it miss leading and the 3 to 6 mouths prices increase is crazy your better off buy a storage building form home depot or lowes hardware u can get a 10x10 build form Lowe's for 600$ and save up to 1200$ in Year
I have used this facility for several years! Their units kept my personal belongings safe and in great condition! I just cleaned out my unit, and as always, the customer service was excellent! They have multiple options available to enter the facility through their app. I highly recommend using this place for your storage needs.
Sadly, I lost my sister, Lori, a year ago from a cardiac arrest and I worked with the wonderful people at Public Storage (hello Jared!!) to get things settled, etc. I'm not in North Carolina, but in New Orleans trying to get back to NC. Public Storage worked with me to clear things up, I didn't know we had been there for 22-years!! Due to personal/financial issues, I had to cut-loose the contents of the small unit. I can't praise Jared and Public Storage enough for their compassion and professionalism during this very difficult time for me. I recommend their facility to anyone who wishes to store belongings, etc, etc. When I get BACK to NC, I will definitely use their facility again. Thank you Jared and PS!!!!!!!!!!

Jared has been extremely kind and patient even when I've called twice in one day and asked 50 questions! He is always so friendly and very helpful! I wish everybody in customer service could be this nice!

Jered Winebarger, the new manager at public storage on Tate Blvd., Hickory, NC was extremely professional and helpful. he went out of his way several times to please me, particularly in finding the right unit. He shows great care with his work and pleasing customers. He is definitely a keeper. I called and spoke to Sherry at the facility on Tate Blvd. Sherry answered my questions and was awesome. Public Storage has a very professional emploer.
Couldn't move in because manager put a lock on my unit and was 5 days trying to move in
Needed a unit and it was easy to get one only thing that gets me is the website promised a couple of things that wasn't true...$1 first month, and first month of insurance waived...I got neither!! Will definitely be a short term thing.
i was pleasantly surprised when the site manager called me to ask me about my review. He was earnestly trying to improve the conditions since his taking over property. This is great.
My parents had to get a storage unit on short notice then they sold their house and the staff at this location could not have been more helpful. I went and cleaned out the storage unit and again the woman at the front desk was so friendly and helpful! If you need storage in the Hickory area definitely come here.

I am very happy to say I found a home and was able to vacate several 10 x 10 rooms and I am so done with Public Storage!
Someone break into our storage unit and the process was a joke and the claim people never contacted us... so what good is the needless insurance cost added on for,its a money racket...
Very convenient location. Very nice and helpful staff. Easily reserved my unit online and payments were drafted so it was all quite worry free . My items stayed dry even with all this rainy weather. Highly recommend.
Good help and clean establishment
I have tried several visits to there office to speak with a person there. And no one is never there. It’s very irritating when you cannot talk to a physical person.
I couldn't be happier with the service and assistance that I've received from Pubic Storage on L-R Boulevard. Asher is the epitome of customer service; a rare find these days. And after a week of playing phone tag with him it was a pleasure to finally meet him in person.

I rented my space on Sunday, June June 19, 2023, I paid $100 for a smaller size. When i saw the locker I upgraded to a bigger size. Went to the office it was no problem. Ashley upgraded me told me I would owe next months rent on July 1st. Great. I received a text from Publix storage today, June 22, 2022, that my account is delinquent. I called the number and the phone system is set up so I can't talk to a human. I called 2 different numbers. This is not right!!!
They finally fixed the problem. When you get a call from them save the number so you can get a human being. The staff are friendly. But the online account is subpar. The staff is a 4 the account app is a 1.

I cannot get in contact with them. I rented a unit online as a backup for a relocation into Hickory. When they called me to confirm, I told them I may not need the unit. They said "just call us if that's the case and we will cancel". I ended up not needing it, have left 4 messages with the property manager, and no one has called me back. I was charged $154 for the unit and have not eeceived any credit. I cannot cancel online so there is no way to contact anyone other than a voice mail. WTH!!!

Easy access, no contact with me, rented online, make payments online, unit was ready as promised, clean and ready. Lock was available in the unit when I arrived to inspect the unit along with my paperwork.

Needs repairs on several units
Yesterday like many other days, me and several other customers came a few times and waited for someone to open the office so we could pay our storage. We made a list of everyone who came. The sign kept changing from early in the day until it said open at 4 pm then 430 pm. The last time i waited from 320 pm until 555 pm and noone ever came. Noone wanted to pay online. My banks wont let me make a payment online. They dont like something because they turn it down so i make sure i go in person and pay and get a receipt. If we are late I am sure that public storage will not hesitate to charge us late fees. How can we pay when noone shows up?This is a sorry business. If help is not reliable the management needs to come in and take payments at minimum. Noone wants to leave a check or cash. We want to pay in person. We waste so much gas trying to pay a bill. It is hot outside. And running back and forth is hard when you dont live near.

Definitely some of the best customer service I have ever experienced! Both of the lady's (both named Ashley) working at this location are always super friendly and helpful anytime I have a problem or question. And the facilities are well maintained, I would highly recommend!!!

These people are straight up crooks. They are trying to say my husband didn't pay when he is holding the receipt in his hands. He has had a storage building here with these people for years.. he's holding his receipt and being called a liar absolutely ridiculous!!
