Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 3402 Ambridge Street, Durham, NC

Have had this unit for about 4 months, within that time there have been some small issues that I just chalk up to it being an outdoor, very poorly secured, storage complex. This issue however angers me to a point to where I might just go ahead and get a storage unit elsewhere. From the unit on the end of the aisle all the way down to almost the other end which includes my unit you can tell that someone attempted multiple times to break into our units. You can see the tool marks you can see the gashes through the paint you can see the marring from the tools and I have pictures and video to prove this. I will be adding the pictures and video to prove this but honestly there's nothing to really prove everyone already knows that this is the type of crap that happens at places like this. The reason I'm so pissed is because I am certain the people who work here have also clearly seen these very visible marks and did not notify me at all of the issue. How very unprofessional and now I just have zero trust in this place. If you're looking for a secure storage unit, pass this one up. I'll also be looking for another more secure storage unit very very soon.

Bev was very helpful and got me all set with app right away. She helped me pick the right size and navigate the gate and my unit. Entire process was less than 10 minutes. I’m downsizing and I feel good about where I’m storing my things in the meantime time.

I wanted to move in on a Sunday and while the office itself was not open, I was able to pay via phone and move in right away. The bluetooth / phone app access is nice. Very professional crew there.

Quick and easy move in. Secure, quiet location!

What started off as a positive experience needed poorly. I rented a space during a time the office was being renovated which meant a representative would not always be on-site. I left several messages over a months period to address a matter without ever getting a response. I only received a call back the morning after contacting online customer service. I was told at that time that too much time had passed to address my issue. If you’re going to manage an office, have a system in place to respond to customers. It’s unacceptable not to response to a customer that has directly contacted your business for assistance. I will not use this business again.

Secure 24/7 access with a mobile app. No more remembering crazy random pins. Bev checked me on and she was amazing. She even let me know about a special to activate online before she checked me out. They were expecting me and had everything ready when I walked in. I’ve moved around a lot with the military and contract work as a civilian, this is a pretty solid place. All drive up outdoor units too.
