I had a great experience renting a small unit here with Grace. The whole rental experience was quick, streamlined, and painless, and she was so kind and also very patient as I was managing my rambunctious toddler at the same time. The gate access is easy and I was very happy with the unit.
This place is a scam. The prices increase every 6 months, and before you know it (within two years), you are paying 3 times what you originally agreed to. Not worth it. Go to a locally owned storage facility, they will treat you much more fairly.
I’ve been renting a unit here off & on for years. Storing home decor & furnishings that I use to stage the homes I list for sale as a local Realtor.
I keep coming back to this location specifically because of the on-site management. Grace truly cares about the property and the tenants. I once forgot to pull my door back down & put my lock back on the door to a unit. When she got ahold of me, I let her know I had to leave due to an emergency. She offered to close it up and put a temporary lock on it until I could come back the next day! Talk about above & beyond, 5 star ⭐️ service!!
She regularly patrols the whole property. Which gives me a sense of security when I am onsite and when I am not there too.
She greets you with a smile & hello. She’s available to answer questions. If like me, you have multiple units & sometimes need to change unit sizes or locations, she makes the whole process easy.
She’s earned my business and my admiration.

Just awful. The office is rarely open, the pavement and property is run down, always trash in the lanes, and if you run into trouble paying your monthly storage rent they slap on a ridiculously high $100 “FEE” to be paid immediately along with your balance or your unit will be auctioned off. They will auction your stuff off if you missed two payments or other storage companies do not do that. Other companies will offer to EORK with their customers. It’s pure greed. The manager Grace is actually very kind, but overall the place needs to be remodeled or torn down or moved. And new staff. Also the upper “manager” named Jason is a total waste of dna and never returns phone calls so avoid him. He does absolutely nothing. My other storage unit is at Extra Space Storage on Maynard Rd in Cary, they’re EXCELLENT. Ask for Darryl Hinton, hands-down the best caring customer service ever. Much more professional clean and safe storage facility than dusty old dirty Public Storage on Cary Pkwy/Old Apex Rd. Also you can Enter your storage unit before 10 PM and stay as late as you want whereas if you leave the storage unit after 9 PM you get harassed with nasty text messages. What kind of storage business does that anymore? Just STAY AWAY.

I've been storing cars here for several years, but have neglected to write a review until now because, honestly, I just don't write reviews unless I have a string of exceptional experiences - either good or bad. In this case, I've been provided with yet another great customer service experience. Storage facilities are, by and large, the same. So it's the people that matter for this business.
Public Storage's billing and leasing software system is highly automated, and seemingly unnecessarily complex for employees to use. I have many storage spaces at any given time, and switch them around a lot - so the system tends to make a mess of my account. But for the third time, now, Grace has managed to untangle one of those messes - getting me into the specific space I needed at the correct price. While she could have simply said "sorry - there's nothing I can do because the system is what it is" - she instead performed some magic and helped me out, and in doing created a bunch of extra follow up work for herself to finish the clean up. If it weren't for Grace I would probably have been frustrated and changed storage companies a couple of years ago when I ran into my first account mess. But thanks to her, as well as other employees at this location, I've been consistently impressed with their level of service.

BEST Public Storage Ever! Here's Why: Grace! Over the years, I have used dozens of storage units for business and personal reasons. For obvious reasons many are often the same. What makes the difference, is the people that work there. For me, it is everything. I did book online, and later on the confirm call I asked Grace for the best accessible unit I could get for what I reserved, and she delivered! It's right near the office as well, and everytime I have been there she greets me by name and we have a great conversation.
For those of you who don't like people, there are other PS and locations in the area that are not staffed by anyone. Which makes no sense to me. But if you do appreciate great customer service, and a central location, choose this one.

Lady in the office is a big part of this business as she greeted me from day 1 with open arms and makes me feel like she is happy to have me as a customer she greeted me EVERY time by name and we talk like we've been friends for years ...the day I don't see her is the day I'm going someplace else with my stuff she should be compensated extra for her above and beyond service...RECENT UPGRADES ARE 5 STAR AND THE LADIES AT THE DESK ARE 10 STAR ..GREAT SERVICE !!!!!
They will increase your storage unit rent ever 6 months, you will be paying double within a year

I have had my stuff in a 5x10 unit for about a year and a half to store everything while i lived with family, and never once went back simply because i didn’t need to. Well i went to move out and realized I lost my key, forgot which unit was mine, and how to get in. Grace was extremely helpful in verifying I was the actual owner, giving me a post it with my unit number and gate code. i didn’t know i had lost my key until after this, so i returned a few hours later, and Grace immediately gave me all my options, timeframes for each, and I ended up going with a locksmith she recommended who is also doing great work! Outstanding storage place with an even more outstanding employee, Grace! Considering my past experiences with four different self storage companies, I highly recommend this place if it is nearby!
