I came to public storage for obvious reasons. I ended up needing help on how the whole thing works, I came into the office and Dee was very welcoming. She made my experience very easy and a breeze with her amazing customer service skills. We need more employees like Dee thank you so much. Will be returning in the future. Five star service.
I rented a temp controlled unit from this place a month ago,. This facility was very close to where i moved and prices were low. BUT I guess you get what you pay. When i moved in, the unit had cockroach traps, and the insulation in the ceiling was torn and hanging down. I would have waited except this was the only unit i could get and i was in a hurry. Two weeks later when I went back to the unit, I had standing water in the back of the unit.
I tried the emergency contact number for the facility, but nobody got back to me unit later later. I couldn't set up fans since there was no access to electricity. When the property manager finally got back to me the next day, she met up and gave me access to electricity - no "sorry" and no offer to compensate/refund. They had no other units available so i told her i would be moving out. I moved out the following week, with 1 to 2 weeks left of the montly rent. The refund was issues . I just called Public Storage and they issued me a refund for last month.
So ONE star for this facility - THREE for Public Storage for actually taking action.

Had some problems exiting as the app on my phone would not work to open the gate. At first the code they gave me also did not work right . However the price I'm paying is a lot less than my previous storage units.

I had a great experience with Public Storage in Apex on Nov 15. Having rented through the Public online website, I realized afterward that I needed a slightly different space. I called the Apex office, Dee answered, was quick to check and find the space that met my requirements. She set up a time for me to come in and complete the transfer documents. It took less than 10 minutes, my account was updated, then I was in my new space. I appreciate Dee's approach to customer service - well done!
I was enjoying my rental experience but now it’s like I’m in a dream of hell. My belongings got damaged with paint from them having people spray paint the outside of the units which i was not aware of. I notify D and she suggested I make a insurance claim which was denied. D was no help at all, the “MANAGER” is hard to reach and his phone goes straight to voicemail. I’ve emailed multiple emails after email I even called different numbers and it all leads to the same thing which is contacting the office which they didn’t help and still have not received not one response since October. After the end of this month if I need to rent a unit Public Storage will never be an option again. The customer service sucks and D acts as if she cannot do anything, i called and she hung up on me.. i called multiple times after and no one picked up so i chose to go to the location and she told me it must of been the person before her because she had just got there. Even if it wasn’t her she didn’t try to make the situation better like “I apologize on my coworkers behalf maybe i can help you” not even i am so sorry this has happened. I AM FED UP WITH PUBLIC STORAGE AND NOW IM STUCK WITH PAINT DAMAGE ON MY BELONGINGS. THANK YOU SOOO MUCH PUBLIC STORAGE FOR DAMAGING MY BELONGINGS WITH NO HELP.

Rip off artists. No notifications on price increases or the fact that I left there facility to go to another one, they bought that facility, received no notification at every facility of public storage there staff is rude and incompetent. I strongly urge anyone who is currently with them or thinking of storing with them, find someone else.

I have to share a moment turned a potential bad day into a good day. Timing and the great customer service is everything. I went to consolidate some boxes in my storage unit.
While throwing up the rolling door, I accidentally left my key in the lock. When the door rolled up, my key broke off into the lock. Knowing this was going to cost me a bunch to get my lock cut off and replaced, I reluctantly made my way to the office (glad they were there on a Sunday). Great news! There was a guy coming today to cut off another lock. He would do mine while he was there as well. Because they were there on Sundays and I got there at the right time, meant I was only charged for another lock. Great customer service!
On a shorter note: Their general service is great. they’ve called me when they suspect that I didn’t close my door properly or if something doesn’t seem right. If you need someone to keep a close eye on your things, go ahead and visit them. I’m glad I did.
Love the space, Dee and the staff is great.
The hours are so limited, they're WAY overpriced & you're not allowed to use the dumpsters & they don't even have trash cans on the grounds. It's the absolute last place in Wake County that I would use.

Still couldn't pay me to do business here just Incase anybody was wondering. Also forgot to mention how I became aware of this business & just how bad their business practices & policies are. I mean that after all would probably make a little bit more sense I'm sure. 🤦♀️🤷♀️😆
A business acquaintance has her storage until here while I have mine at self secure storage. It's like night & day comparing the positives & negatives between the two businesses. As soon as I get my new phone that has AI camera capabilities I'll be posting extensively about self care storage on James Jackson in Cary. I can't say enough great things about the staff & facility & pricing. Hopefully will have it posted by the end of the week 😉

Was very easy to rent a space online and get started. They have both climate-controlled and non-controlled storage locations.
I have an account with my daughter and needed to make a payment. I called the office and spoke with Sarah R and she walked me through making my payment online. The website is super easy to navigate and everything went off without any problems.
Sarah R is super friendly and very accommodating and made the process seem like something I can do going forward by myself, knowing that she is only a phone call away.
Dirty and Autions merchandise no good place.. And add 1 more star because the company make a call to my partner for what reason put only one star. EU is a spoke freedom opinions and think so is important explain my point. Thanks for call and pay attention for the costumers.

We have been using public storage in Apex for about 9 months and We are so happy with Dee and her staff that we now have about 8 or 9 units. You will not be disappointed. They are always friendly and extremely helpful.

I’m suspicious of the high reviews stating how prompt responses are and how professional these folks have been. We’ve had no such experience. We’ve had a storage unit here for about a year while transitioning to a new home and about six months ago discovered thousands of roach and mice droppings. When we moved boxes, found roaches crawling all over our belongings.
The same week we were informed that our cost was going up over 30%. I made numerous phone calls, left messages, physically went to the office and got the general managers email and phone number, called him and left at least five voicemails, emailed him directly, emailed the corporate customer service email address listed on line and to this day haven’t received one single response about the state of our unit, nor the fact that they were hiking up our rates despite the condition.
Just went yesterday to cancel our unit and exchange a few clothing boxes. Pulled off first box and two roaches ran out. Lovely… I’ll be putting all my stuff in the garage and setting off bug killer bombs before taking anything inside.
There’s lots of other units around. I’d recommend checking someone else out.

This is the second time we rent a space from this Public storage location. Both times we rented climate controlled units. This second time the process was such much easier! I was able to make a reservation online, signed my rental contract, and get our unit ready in less than 30 minutes! The app was also really helpful to unlock the gates, so that was an added bonus for us. When I had to return our lock (since we already had one from the previous time), Dee was very helpful and got us the refund processed. Overall, I recommend this storage location!
