Do not rent at this location! There have been multiple break-ins this year and they are not doing anything to prevent it! The manager has no sense of urgency and has done nothing to stop it.

Do not use this place if you want to safely store stuff ! The security sucks. Rent has almost doubled in 5 yrs, the doors are so rusty you can kick a hole in em. The 10 layers of paint are holding them together!! There is a list of burglaries & other security issues that have not been addressed dating back over 5yrs! Police won't even show up anymore. Don't let their fake smiles fool you!!! They do not care about you or your stuff. They broke in mine on Memorial day and stole over $5,000 worth tools & furniture. It took me about 40yrs to collect it all. They need to be impaled on the fence in front of the office! They do not care at all for u or your stuff! So use this place as a last resort!!

Lock was changed and I was not notified, could not get any info on why it was changed.

I've had my unit for 5 years, and up until Public Storage took over, I had zero problems. As soon as they took over they raised the rent three times in 7 months. I've now had to deal with 2 break ins within one month. Public Storage doesn't seem to care about letting this location have a full time property manager, so instead they have floating property managers fill in a few days a week maximum. The second time my unit was broken into, I requested the district manager's number, Mark. I have called numerous times with zero response. It goes straight to voicemail and even though Mark's message says he "can't wait to take care of you", that doesn't seem to be the case. The floating property managers are amazing and as helpful as they can be given they are only on location a few times a week. The property managers deserve higher stars. The district manager, Mark and Public Storage as a company need to do better.

Do not go to the storage place my storage was broken into and things were stolen and they didn't call the cops I had to call the cops. And we were broken into that morning but didn't receive a call until that evening. Stay away from this place!!!!!!

The staff here are incredibly friendly and helpful. I booked a unit online before having stopped in and toured the facility, and had an issue with standing water in the unit. I let the staff know about the issue and they reported it to maintenance immediately. They also went above and beyond to take care of me and got me into a different unit that was bigger, for the same price for the inconvenience, and I thank you all very much for that. I will express though, to the highest degree possible, to corporate, that the driveway of the inside of the facility itself is in DESPERATE need of TLC; complete gut and repave of the drive. I shouldn't need a 4 wheel drive vehicle to drive down a 3 mph drive, and it also has many many puddles in front of units that cause a headache when trying to park in front of your unit to unload on an already extremely broken drive. It would also be very helpful to have more than 3 teeny tiny parking spaces in the front. Your employees need parking and your customers need parking if they need to stop in at the office to conduct business. Please don't simply repatch the holes, please please please completely redo the drive. It will improve the image of the facility to a large degree in an area that does not have that great of an image to begin with. Also, the exit gate has no keypad to punch an access code, so a customer must rely solely on blue tooth through the app to get out of the facility. So if someone gets in and their cell phone dies while they are in there, I am not sure how they are supposed to get out without waiting for another car to come by, especially if there is no staff available. Again, staff was amazing, 5 stars for the staff, 2 stars for the facility structure itself.

I have been waiting for a call for more than 96 hours from the manager. We have a safety issue to consider but can not get in touch with anyone! Would not recommend!!

Have been a tenant for years. Public Storagr bought the location and raised the rent twice now with zero improvements or anything to substantiate the increase. I can share photos of the homeless guy living in a unit across from mine, broken doors, and some terrible maintenance issues. 10/10 would not recommend.

Christi was very helpful with my rental and request although technology wasn’t cooperating. I wish everyone in customer service were as patient and hardworking. She was covering someone’s day off at the 47th st location so things were not easy for her but she did all she could to make things come out favorable. Thank you Christi!

Nice place to store furniture

I've been storing my stuff here about a year and a half and have had so many rent increases it's unbelievable. I started renting at $99 monthly and as of April first they're going to be charging me $192! This is ridiculous especially since when I last came to my storage I saw a car that was stored on the property that was clearly broken into and their stuff was everywhere and i witnessed the storage manager out showing a unit but they never noticed the car which clearly looked to have been broken into days prior as the stuff thrown about next to the car had dust on it. This place isn't even safe enough to have so many increases in a year. Public storage just recently bought this place out and hasn't done anything to ensure the safety of any of our stuff but it seems as if they're trying to push everyone who is renting there out! I do not suggest anyone rent here.

The staff is very one-sided and won't hesitate to screw you over. The units themselves are trashy and not very secure. The property itself is unkept and very dirty trash everywhere as well as leaves. The property manager Dion he's very rude and very inconsiderate. It's his way or no way. I would not recommend renting from this place to anybody. In one month over 32 units got broken into.

After buying a unit online at auction from a different Public Storage facility we were sent here after difficulty finding management from the other site. Dion was a breath of fresh air!! I spoke to several people in upper management over the phone and was shocked at the info the gave me! Luckily Dion was able to clear everything up and get us a unit rented at a facility he doesn't even work at! Talk about the real MVP! Customer service was awesome! Really wish Dion was the guy in charge at place we actually have our unit!

Somebody broke into my storage unit and stole a bunch of my late father’s belongings along with some of mine. There’s no cameras so police and the renters insurance couldn’t do anything. Be careful renting here

My friend currently has 2 units rented at this place and from what she tells me about the business end of this company they are really decent at times with late payments for the units. I have used a storage facility in the past and they had rules that if you were late for one day they emptied out the unit and you would lose everything you had stored in it. I had a friend who has been through that once, she was late and even called them to try to work something out so she didn't lose her stuff but she was told of the rules when she signed up with them and they held to it. But this place is a little different I'm planning on moving soon and yes I will be renting a space in this location just because of how they do business for people who are up against hard times once in a while.

I’m moving back to the area and called Simply Safe. The staff is very professional and answered all my questions about leasing, insurance on the unit and what kind of lock is best. I will definitely tell my friends to check Simply Safe in Raytown out if they need a storage unit!
