I want to start out this review by saying that I have received nothing but exceptional service for the entirety of the time that I was a customer. In 9 years of service, I find it important to note that this is the only bit of frustration that I have encountered with this facility. The trouble began when I was attempting to move out of the facility. I simply cannot justify the rental fees to keep my belongings nearly 200 miles away from where I live. And when I informed the folks responsible for maintaining the facility over the phone, they told me that they would begin levying arbitrary fees against me. This would have resulted in $500 in arbitrary fees in addition to a lien on my credit report. It is important to note that this situation was resolved by their superiors. I got a hold of the district manager of the facility in Hutchinson. We discussed the terms of my rental agreement and eventually came to a resolution. I had originally offered him $500 to settle my account and avoid a lien, payable on the 4th of October. In my mind, this would more than cover any administrative overhead in clearing my account. He gave me a counter offer of $400, payable by the end of September. It is important to note that they have been charging me twice the amount of rent that I agreed to and never properly informed me of my rent increase. According to the terms of my agreement, I can take them to court for several thousand dollars' worth of damages, in addition to nullifying any disposal or lien actions that are counted against me. It would simply be in small claims court. But I'm not a spiteful person when it comes to business transactions. I took this gentleman up on his offer to pay my roughly $400 balance by the end of this month in order to clear liability from absolutely everybody. I was sure to mention that there may be a very slim chance that I cannot pay him until the 4th of October, but if that happens, we can discuss things then. All in all, the district manager was very professional and very courteous in resolving my issue. I'm happy to say that all of my concerns have been addressed.

I stopped by the Hutchinson public storage looking for boxes for a big move. Kelsey was really friendly and helped me find the perfect size boxes!

I highly recommend this facility. Even better is the staff here. Kelsey and Harrold are the nicest and friendliest people to run these units. I would definitely rent these units again at the Hutchinson location.

If I could leave a review with no stars I would. Public Storage sold me a unit that didn't exist. I would highly suggest looking elsewhere. The access code they provided also was not valid. Finding a person to get help or remedy the situation was nearly impossible and was transferred to multiple people without sufficient solutions. This is not a place you want to deal with.

I went to this site for the first time to see my unit. I had to rent site unseen as this place is rarely manned. When I got to my unit I was severely disappointed. The ice sheet on the road was ridiculous. I was wearing cleats and still sliding all over the place. The door to my unit had a foot of ice over the handle and wouldn't open. I wasn't aware I would need special equipment to get in my unit. I spent 20 minutes chiseling ice with my hunting knife to get the door open. Moving my boxes into the unit had to be done box by box as a dolly is useless on that much ice and wall of ice in front of the door wouldn't let me roll over it. I slipped three times loading boxes and once just trying to get into my car. I had to further chip away ice to get the door closed in order to secure my belongings. My hand was numb at this point and I slide my thumb open on the locking mechanism I was trying to manipulate with numb hands. I had nothing in my vehicle to stop the bleeding. Hurrying out, the exit was blocked by a car that seemed to have no owner. After 15 minutes of controlling the bleeding with snow, someone showed up to move the car. There was nobody there to speak to about this and I have no interest talking to someone on the phone who doesn't really care. There is an inherent responsibility for security when it comes to self storage and the safety of renters. This place doesn't get it.

Rent just keeps jumping every year. Might be time to get rid of this unit.

The reason I’m rated this 3 star is becouse I rented the unit in Hutchison Mn on line and it was later in the day I went to the unit and seen it was going to be to small at that time no one was there and they had takin the money out of my account so the next morning I went to there office and I talked to the lady at the counter she was vary understanding and she told me the money will be back into my accounts and thst did happen so there was nothing else to worry about intil a month and a half later I get a callector notice in the mail saying I now owe the 90$ now I’m going throw a callectiion place and I can’t get a ahold of the lady that was working the counter that day I live 3 hours away and now I’m not happy that this is something I have to worry about I’m older and have physical health problems and now I have to worry about this recking my creidit do until I get this resolved and them dashing I don’t owe it I give this place a 3 star becouse of the hassle that I have to go throw the lady that was working there was a sweet heart but the persons that I talk to one the phone to get this straightened out werent so nice they were rude and not willing to Liston to the ishue intil I go tslk to the lady thst was working that day abd if I get this creditor off of my creadet report then I’ll change it

The Young Lady that works in the office is Beyond kind, friendly she really makes me look forward to actually pay a Bill. Lol

Nicole was very helpful, and she went out her way to contact me about an opening for a different unit that she knew I wanted. She noticed when I was switching units I almost tipped some of my stuff off the cart and she offered a helping hand, but I declined cause I was close to the unit lol. Either way she offered, and has answered all my questions with well answers. So if ur interested in Hutch public storage ask for her help and you will have a smile on ur face from the help!
