Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 4425 West 77th St, Edina, MN

The Public Storage facility in Edina Minnesota seems to be a predatory business which systematically raises the rental rate so that your monthly rental unit rate will double in about 2 years. When this happened to me the first time, I rented a new unit down the hallway from the first unit and cancelled the first unit. Then, the tent quickly increased on the second unit. I left the Public Storage facility for another local storage facility that has not raised the rent. It's my opinion that "Renter Beware" is the warning for this Public Storage facility.

Zoe was super helpful in showing me various locations. She took time to show me around and really went above and beyond to walk me through the process and get me all set up. I really appreciated it!!

Zoe at this facility is so professional and kind. I broke my arm just before flying to the Twin Cities. I tried to move out of my unit on the 31st, but it was too much for me. I had to find help and we were able to move everything today on the 1st. Zoe advocated for me with her superiors to not charge me for the coming month. What I want to say is there are good people in this world. I will always use and recommend Public Storage because of this experience. Thank you for the 8 years I needed your business. Rented here but was given a faulty lock bu Public Storage. The lock was stuck on my unit and it took them over two weeks to cut it despite them telling me it would only take a few days. Despite paying over $100 a month, I did not have access to my unit for most of the month. Nobody is usually in the office here and my multiple messages went unanswered.

Horrible! My tent was increased by over 200% in less then 4 years. They messed up my bill after I decided not to do auto pay anymore. And will not answer calls when I call or never call me back.

Do NOT rent a storage space here! We paid a premium for a “climate controlled” space that leaked water from the roof onto our belongings. When we called to address this with them we were directed to the district manager who was impossible to get a hold of and did not return our calls. After calling for 2 weeks straight my husband finally spoke to someone who basically said there was nothing they could do and that we rented at our own risk. She then offered $25 off the next time we rent from them. What a joke! We would never rent from them again and I suggest you don’t either unless you don’t mind water coming in from the roof onto your belongings.

I've been renting a storage unit at the Edina PS on Bush Lake Road for over a year now. I've been very happy with the service provided by Zoe. She's always friendly and helpful. Recently I lost the keys to my padlock. Zoe arranged to have the old lock removed and provided a new one, suggesting I keep the extra key in a safe place in case I lose track of my key again. Why I didn't think to do that in the first place, I'll never know!

This property is very difficult to access, extremely uneven roads, the door is broken so you can’t pull in. I’ve gone to both elevator sides and there’s never any dollie’s and maybe 2 carts if you’re lucky (with no one else there) The unit itself is not lit and i’m in a corner so it’s very dark in there. Also after renting a couple months they’re raising the cost of the rental by $20. They also advertise that you can provide your own lock for a refund of the lock cost, and then the unit has a lock built into the door that you have to use. Looking forward to ending my rentals here. They also closed the location access completely with zero communication as to what was happening with no excuse as to why no one was notified, yet they had plenty of time to raise the rental price this week after not being able to properly access anything multiple times in a WEEK. Rent literally anywhere else even if this is the closest location for you and save yourself a ton of trouble!!

decent place. Needs more carts.....2 or 3 carts and 1 of them is the saddest loudest just most horrible of carts...it honestly sucks the life out of you and scares little children at the day care 3 blocks away. But at least it rolls? Other than that, it's a place you put yer things in..it was easy. What sets it apart is the staff. The heart melting staff that just reminds you of what heaven really is. Zoe Ann was a treat, please sing her happy birthday, she'll appreciate you.

Zoe Ann went above and beyond in helping us find the optimal solutions to storing our mother's stuff. She was courteous, patient, and knowledgeable. So hard to find good service these days, it still does matter.

This storage company increases your rate whenever they want for no reason. They refuse to negotiate and only suggest to move to a cheaper unit.

Excellent customer service!

There is nothing wrong with the place, but they raise the rent $100 or more every 6 months. You would think they would value long term renters with no issues, but in order to get the same unit at the best rate you have to go online and rent and then move your stuff to a new location 😞

Our experience has been very good overall. Helen who manages the Edina West 77 street location is excellent. She’s very professional, helpful and provided us with great advice and customer service. The only drawback is the headquarters company raises the monthly rate to any amount anytime without limits but that’s the nature of storage business I guess. Otherwise the location is very clean, has great security entrance protocol, cameras and Helen’s constant presence is very reassuring for security. The temperature control is great and kept our stuff in good shape. Thank you Helen!

Despite some challenges with a storage neighbor, Helen, the manager was wonderful. She was super diligent in attempting to resolve issues, and she was always calm and pleasant.

Moving out has been a nightmare. You have to check with the property manager and you can never find someone at either Edina site. I tried canceling online and that didn't work. The website and the chat function are pretty useless. I rented at a PS in another city and had great experience. I won't use them in the future.
