Thank you! I can't say enough about the Manager, Kevin! A true professional, who understands and demonstrates "Customer Service"!...always helpful, diligent, courteous and patient. Whenever I visit, Kevin takes the time to address my concerns, answers my questions and I always leave feeling valued as a customer. The cleanliness of the property and office is a big plus too!
"I initially had a very negative experience on September 29th, when I visited the facility. The property manager at the time, Chelle, was extremely rude and unwilling to assist with completing my unit reservation. Her lack of customer service was disappointing and not what I expected from Public Storage.
However, after leaving my initial review, I was contacted by a regional supervisor who was very receptive to my feedback and took immediate steps to address my concerns. His professional approach made me feel valued as a customer. Additionally, Kevin, the weekday manager, went out of his way to accommodate my storage needs afterward. Thanks to their efforts, I feel much more confident in the service, so I'm updating my rating to five stars."
The facility is clean and feels safe, but it’s 5 stars because of Kevin in the front office. He’s always friendly and helpful and explains everything you need to move in and move out
The guy inside the office he’s very rude he needs to fix his attitude with the customers, I got there and told him that I forgot to remove my lock from the storage. He sent me to the Storage to remove it, but he didn’t tell me about there was a different lock there then I return back to the office ask him for the code, he gave it to me but then he went up on his own and removed and I went up there and I still saw the lock but I couldn’t remove it so I went back down and he said it was so easy to remove the lock Return back to remove mine lock I just say he’s unprofessional on his job. He’s just rude. He could’ve just said to me that there was a lock and I need a code or he comes with me and remove it He just needs to fix his attitude and the way he approached any future customers.

The facility was clean and the storage unit was waiting when I arrived. However, there were no carts to move boxes from my truck to the unit, the unit rented was advertised as a 10 x 10, but it's actually 8'4" X 9'8 (MUCH SMALLER)", there's a bump-out inside the unit which takes up storage space, the door doesn't stay up, and the light isn't working. When visiting the unit during business hours, the clerk wouldn't open the door from the loading dock to the office and I had to leave the building and enter through the front door.
Kevin gave great customer service in providing me with the unit that fits my needs. He took the time to show me several units so I could the see what they look like.
I absolutely LOVE my unit at Tuxedo Rd, in Hyattsville, MD. I’ve rented there for a little over 24 months and I’ve never experienced any problems. The property is clean and very well kept, the elevators and carts are always accessible and Kevin, the facility manager, is worth triple his weight in platinum. I’ve rented from several well known storage providers however none have been as accommodating and responsive as service provided by Kevin and his staff.
The guy Kevin who works this location is always helpful and professional even with difficult customers.

The customer service rep named Denna' was gracious enough to allow my husband to use the office phone when he mistakenly locked his phone and keys in his truck outside his storage unit. She was very helpful and polite. She works at the 3005 Kenilworth Avenue location.

Public Storage sent me a collections letter for $30 after I cancelled with ZERO EMAIL OR PHONE CONTACT at all to try and let me know about the $30. Instead I received a terrifying letter from a collections agency. So incredibly unprofessional, I will never consider public storage ever again. Just to reiterate, I booked the unit, canceled before moving in as I needed to change my dates to later, and was charged a fee that no one told me about or reminded me even existed, and was then sent to collections. If literally anyone would have attempted to contact me before sending me to collections I would have paid. I’ve never seen anything remotely like it and am so incredibly frustrated.

Fast, friendly and compassionate CSR named Eric. He advocated on my behalf after I shared my storage fee increased by 30% in one month. I was given excellent customer service from Aman and Kevin. He was extremely very attentive and catered to all my needs. Out of all the storage services that I received this was the best experience. The rep also informed me of the policy and helped me to understand what I needed to know.

The self-storage industry has become a total rip-off. This place is no different. They jack up the price any time they want for no reason. They also hit you with the unadvertised mandatory BS "insurance", basically, you're paying their building insurance for them as a surcharge on top of your unit rental. This particular place is absolutely filthy. A lot of keypads don't work. The office is rarely staffed during "office hours". Good luck finding someone to help you if you ever need it. Summertime, AC is minimal. Dismal place.
I had to move out of my former storage warehouse where my real estate staging business inventory was kept, but the rent was going up where I could not afford it. At the same time the movers were packing my items and I had to find somewhere close by where I could get too quicker. I stopped in and Kevin the manager was very professional and saw what terrible bind I was in and my stress level was crazy. He asked "when did I need the 2 large units and I said "right now, the guys are packing up my inventory and will be delivering within the hour". Well, he came to my rescue and it was truly a blessing. He immediately clean out my units and it was just a pure blessing to have worked with him and I highly recommend this location. Update: I finally moved out after 2 years because on my last visit before move out I was harassed by another tenant who cursed me out for simply being in the elevator. When I reported this to management they said there was no security system, no way of reporting this incident and I never heard from regional management beyond a phone call where they said they would call me back and never did. I was so shocked given how dangerous the situation could've been.
I have had nothing but bad experiences with this facility and its been a month. The property staff are rude, they are never able to answer any questions or help in any way and they harass me with phone calls constantly. If I was in town I would move my stuff immediately. Really wish I had not chosen to store with them.

Absolutely horrible experience and complete lack of customer service. I e-rented a unit and paid online. Came to the unit on Friday during office hours and there was not a soul in the office. Locked door, everyone is gone. That would be fine normally, but they keep the moving carts LOCKED inside the office and only give them to people during office hours! And they are NOT IN THE OFFICE during their office hours! I waited for over an HOUR between 1:45 and 3pm and was forced to hastily find a unit at a different storage facility because there was no way for me to move heavy furniture without a moving cart to the second floor. Also, left them several messages about this situation, no one bothered to return a call. Beyond outrageous! Zero stars.
Awful and a scam. Buyer BEWARE!!! I have been renting two spaces for three months now. On the fourth month they increased my rates by over 25%. When I contacted the support to inquire about the exorbitant rate increase they said, 1) corporate adjusts rates periodically per my rental agreement - no where do I note a limit to their rate increase so shame on me - and 2) if I wanted, they (Public Storage) would help me find a cheaper space.... pretty sure that it is in a worse building, smaller, in a different location, etc. Potential neighbor, please BEWARE, if you are out of the area and storing your belongings, you are at their rate mercy. If you are a business, you cannot control your costs and will spend time and effort with these scam artists fixing the problem. The $1 first month brings you in the door but then you are at Public Storage's corporate 'mercy'. A 3-5% rate increase is reasonable (similar to any rental), but 25%? I highly recommend that finding a storage company with better business ethics and customer service. The 5* ratings seen on these postings are scams and paid advertisements in this dirty, dirty industry.
I was given excellent customer service from Kevin. He was very professional and very attentive to me and the questions that I proffered. He also informed me of the policy and helped me to understand what I needed to know. If anyone needs a storage Public Storage is the place to go.
