Edit: Staff gone, doors locked during office hours!! Second time in a month that I've taken off work early specifically to get there during office hours so I could use a cart, arrived at 3:45pm and not a soul around, all doors locked and the only carts are in the locked lobby. Unacceptable b.s. Your staff seem to be skipping out when they're supposed to be working. Yesterday, employee finally returns about 4:40 with multiple people waiting, needing carts. Find somewhere else to rent, this place is a problem. This has happened multiple times.
Original review: renting an inside unit, be aware that carts to get your stuff from your car to the unit are only available when the staff are there, they only have three of them, and require leaving your license at the counter and hauling the cart halfway around the building. It's a bit ridiculous, and makes it a giant pain in the sss if you need to move anything before or after office hours or are there on a weekend when all carts can be gone. Just buy enough carts, ffs. They tell you before renting that they provide carts to use, but don't tell you it's only during office hours.
Also be aware they require a specific lock, so you can't just use a padlock you already have, clearly so they can overcharge you for a lock and probably so they have a master key. Also be aware they require you to carry insurance on the unit. Bathrooms sre locked and unavailable except during office hours. A lot of things that just make the customer experience poor, when it would be pretty easy to correct these issues. Place is clean, but no overhang on the unloading area parking, so if it's raining your stuff is going to get wet..right before you stick it in storage...what a great idea.

My experience with the Public Storage team in Clinton, MD was excellent from Nichele calling me 1st thing in the morning after I'd reserved a space the night before, to me arriving and being shown the options that I was interested in by her. The facility was clean & well-lit. The other customer service team members Fred & Carmen were super friendly and helpful also. They all made it seamless for me getting a storage space. The rates were great as well!! Thanks Nichele, Fred & Carmen!!! You are much appreciated. I'm adding an additional star 🌟 to my 5 star rating!!!!

Do not utilize this facility or company. They are untrustworthy. I am missing thousands of dollars of items, and the property manager at the Clinton location (Blindine) has not taken any action to assist.
When I asked about missing items, she stated when things are “abandoned,” we put them in the trash. But I never mentioned abandoning items. Are you telling me this company does not attempt to locate the rightful owners? (RED FLAG)
Blindine immediately went on the defense when asked about my goods. The more I talked with her, the more she seemed suspicious. I followed Public Storage’s outlined resolution for stolen goods; I filed the police report.
They have done nothing but go through the motions. I contacted the district manager (Fred Johnson) after several calls and complaints to customer service, he returned my calls. He was polite, but I feel never vested in watching the cameras and gathering information on my loss. This facility is not fully monitored, and Mr. Johnson reported he couldn’t find any footage. I requested they contact the renters on the floor that accessed the facility on the day of the loss around that time frame to ask for assistance. He reported that two renters accessed the floor on said day, and staff doing regular floor sweeps … you make it make sense! It’s been nearly a month, and Mr. Johnson has not followed up on my claim.
Bottoms line!
If it’s important, keep it in your possession. Do not feel your stuff is secured based on the area, a gate, and janky cameras. This company is not committed to resolving theft because they profit from other people's property. The cameras are limited and useless. The security gate is constantly malfunctioning. Their app technology is so antiquated that their IT department cannot fix issues. No restrooms are available onsite without a key; good luck finding someone to open the door for you. There are never any moving resources conveniently available to renters. All hand trucks must be exchanged for your license in the main building; staff gives an attitude if they have to get up to open the connecting door to the facility. So they try to make you walk around half the building to access the elevators. Lastly after months of renting they will increase the rent. Don't do it.

I went here during business hours, at least 2 hours before closing and there were no employees there. Weird thing is we called before coming. Got there and doors were locked. Went back to the car to make a call and the employees came and pulled up and went inside. Both employees. One came in and got right behind the desk, the other stayed in the back. She was polite and helpful but that was weird they both left. All that to say is if you go to this location, and they door is locked... They're probably around somewhere, just wait a few

I have had a great experience with PS from start to finish. I was able to reserve and rent the unit without having to be there. Everything was super easy. Unfortunately, I ended up not using the unit even though I had already paid for it. I submitted a move out request through the app.
On August 3rd I got a call from Sylvia from Public Storage asking about the payment. I told her that I submitted a move out request and she explained to me that i still needed to call and finalize it and that I still had to pay August rent. I was very unhappy about that.
Sylvia could have stuck to her guns and been difficult. Instead she told me that she would look into it and see what she could do. She called me back a few minutes later informing me that since I moved in July 7 I was still within 30 days so she was able to vacate the unit without charging me.
This is a great example of going the extra mile for a customer. She didn't have to ask someone. She could simply stuck to her guns and quoted policy. Even if she could not have helped getting me out of paying for August, I would have still been happy knowing that she did her best to help me.
At the end of the day that is all any reasonable customer wants. Do your best to help. That is exactly what Sylvia did. Thanks to her. I will be sure to use PS in the future.

Moving from one house to another and not sure of date and timing of my move. I needed to store my things in between me making a decision. I contacted public storage and had the pleasure to speak with Ms.Sylvia. She put me at ease and confirmed all questions about my monthly bill, charges etc.. With her communication, she made me welcomed to move my things to one of facilities she managed.
I'm glad to share this experience with everyone and how making me comfortable, knowing my things would be ok and the trust with the company PBS.
Ms Sylvia, need a raise!!!! She definitely is on top of game and just for me, other patrons that encounter her smile and care for individuals looking for a.place that's secure and belongings maintained, I give them a 5 thumbs up.
