Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 206 E MacArthur Road, Wichita, KS

Honestly I wish I could give them no stars. I rented a unit with them starting 3 years ago and then moved out this year. I live across the country and had to rent a storage unit to store some items due to an emergency. I diligently payed my bill and did everything I was supposed to in the time I rented here. When it came time to move out of the storage unit this year, I tried to call to let the (allegedly) onsite manager know that it would be cleared the following week. However, it just went to voicemail, so I left a message letting whoever was there a detailed message. I thought nothing of it until I got in to town and began facing issues. Problem #1: I arrived to check the unit the first day and was able to get in the gate, but when I got to my building, it had a 4 digit code to get in the door, which was not disclosed ANYWHERE on the website, the app, and the help line had no idea how to find it, so they told me to contact the manager. Well, that would’ve been nice if they had been there or returned my calls or anything!! The entirety of my time getting my stuff out of this unit, I NEVER saw anyone on site and NEVER got a call back apologizing or asking how they could help with this 4 digit code. I even drove to another Public Storage location to see if I could get help (because no matter what, the PS phone tree just connects you to your location). Unfortunately, they tried and STILL couldn’t get ahold of this MIA manager. Thankfully I was able to find a way in to get to my unit, but it was not without the panic of not being able to get my stuff out and drive it back across the country. PUBLIC STORAGE CORPORATE! You need to figure out a different manager for this location that’s going to be responsive or you will lose more business!! Problem #2! And perhaps, the worse problem! Security is a MAJOR PROBLEM here! When I first showed up to my unit after 3 years I noticed that the exit gate literally NEVER SHUT AND WAS OPEN FOR DAYS ON END! So anyone with a desire to break into units just had to drive right in! Of course, because there was no manager or provisions to manage the location, I couldn’t tell anyone. Back to the nonsensical 4 digit code I mentioned earlier. When I couldn’t figure out the code, I went ahead and looked for any other doors. Thankfully another door and the end of the building was totally unlocked. WHAT KIND OF SECURITY LOCKS YOU OUT OF ONE DOOR, BUT GIVES ANYONE ACCESS TO THE SAME IN ANOTHER TOTALLY UNLOCKED DOOR!? All this thankfully didn’t result in any of my belongings being affected, but this location makes it very easy for your unit to be broken into, your belongings stolen, and no one to report it to. I STILL have yet to get a call back and it’s been MONTHS since I called about getting into my unit. PUBLIC STORAGE CORPORATE once again! Get this place figured out! Until then, I hope that no one else tries to rent with them if you value your property and it’s security.

Terrible place to store with.. have been using this place for over a year & half & my bill for the SMALLEST storage unit has gone up multiple times, not worth the prices.. went from $57 to now $90 a month.. don't trust this place!

I rented a storage online (locked in discounted price) ...next month they added insurance..ok no problem as it's required. But just got bill this month with 34% price increase!! 😡.. if this is not fixed I will be moving my stuff out!! Scandalous!! (We opted to stay a couple months longer due to circumstances). 9/8/2024 UPDATE: JUST GOT A POST CARD INFORMING US THAT THEY'RE INCREASING THE RATE AGAIN TO $214!! MAKING IT ABOUT A 100% INCREASE WITHIN THE SHORT TIME WE BEEN THERE!!

Jacquie was wonderful! The property is very clean and organized, and she helped us with all of our questions and purchases! She’s like a one woman army! I just started renting here and it’s due largely to her thank you public storage!

Started at 80 for a 10×10 with no promo, which was reasonable, bill was raised to $114 within 6months and no courtesy call. Definitely got my stuff out of there quickly

I am giving 5 stars to Regina. She has been absolutely wonderful, I have my storage unit for a long time now and every time I have interacted with Regina she has been great. Oh and the storage facility in nice too. LoL!

Started renting a unit during the 1$ promotion going on currently, they did not and still are not honoring that promotion, nor are they honoring the promotion amount of the unit and now that the first month is paid, inevitably so I don't lose my belongings, I'm now being charged 40$ more a month!! An agent has contacted me twice through email to inform me they feel no need to change the pricing of the of the unit. Updates to come.

This has nice unit's, the app makes it easy to open the gate without getting out of your vehicle to put your code in!! Regina is awesome!!!

Regina at this location is a woman of her word and those are hard to find. We had a hole in the wall of our unit her first day. She got it fixed as promised. We had an issue with our unit flooding, she immediately had has set up to transfer to a different unit and worked with us to get things moved over as our schedules would allow. I can also say the previous property manager was awful but Regina is amazing. Thank you for everything Regina!
