Pros: It’s clean, secure, easy to manage your account, and the staff are generally helpful.
Cons: They lure you in with a promo rate but gradually increase the rate at an increasing percentage the longer you stay - I had first moved in back in May of 2021 and my rate was around $85-90/month. I officially moved out in Sept of 2024 because it had ballooned to $230-$240 a month, an increase of around 175%. That’s way more than the rate of inflation and a monthly rate higher than anything stated on the website.
Edit: I’m not sure how this is considered a positive review when I only gave two stars but clearly they’re ignoring my complaints.

Only difficulty is after loading your cart onto the elevator you need to stop the elevator doors from closing while you're outside the elevator typing in your code in order to allow it to go up. Otherwise, great service.
I am severely disappointed in how I have been treated by this company. When I signed up for a storage unit here, I signed up as a brand new customer and received a promotion that my first month's rent would be $1. On move in day, I also paid for an additional month's rent, which should've taken me to the end of the year. Upon moving in, I immediately realized that the unit I was moving into was too small. I never stepped foot into the initial unit and upgraded to a bigger unit at the front desk within 5 minutes of paying for the initial unit. I also immediately paid the difference between the two units. After the payment, I showed the front desk worker that my mobile app showed me that my next payment was due 12/1/2022. She assured me that it was a lag in the system and it would eventually update to show my next payment was due 1/1/23. This never updated and once 12/1 passed, I began to receive emails and texts that I had a late payment. I immediately brought this up to the front desk worker who could help me in no way and recommended I contact customer service. When calling customer service, it is all automated and it is impossible to speak to an actual person. Your only choice is to talk to someone over chat. The first person I talked with on 12/2 told me he had opened up a claim on my account and that a supervisor would be calling me within a couple days. No one ever called me. On 12/6, I talked to an additional person over chat who told me that my December rent was due in full because the $1 promotion was only available to new customers and when I transferred unit's, it voided the promotion as I was no longer a "new customer". I explained to him time and time again that I upgraded within 5 minutes and never even stepped foot into my initial unit. He said that the time in which the transfer takes place does not matter. NO ONE ever explained this to me. I was then forced to pay $165 in full for my December payment as I would then received late fees if I waited until 12/7. This is such a shame being a brand new customer that they cannot even honor a promotion when I never even used the first unit. I was completely screwed for upgrading to a bigger unit. It is blatantly obvious they care more about money than a happy client.
UPDATE: Stephanie, the district manager, called me and gave me a full refund on the $165 today. I’m very appreciate of this, however, I wish a resolution was easier to come by.

If you are looking for a great place for storage near the City of Chicago, I highly recommend Public Storage at 1711. W. Fullerton. Bill is awesome and very helpful and assisted with a unit when I was moving my things from out of State. The facility is safe and clean and has 24/7 accessibility.

Stay clear of this “bait and switch” company!
Forget that the staff is hardly around and that they are the only ones that can get you a cart (they lock them in the office) or the fact the building is like a mouse maze and you will get lost! …
After 3 months, without warning or explanation they will raise your bill they mention in the paperwork “prices may be subject to change” but nothing about 4 months later. “Only $$$ a month”… ok not the best but oh well, then boom! $30 price hike! And when you ask for a justification, again… crickets! Stay away find a company that is transparent about their rates and forthcoming about what to expect. This is not Public Storage.

I was looking at a few places for a storage unit around Chicago and this one was by far the best. The facility is clean and was the only place that had a unit the size I needed. It’s a good price as well. Bill helped me out and he was super nice and helpful. He was knowledgeable and professional and it puts my mind at ease knowing someone like that is at the facility where I’m storing important items.
