I've had my items at this storage facility for over 1 year. About 6 or 7 months ago I get an email telling me that my payment would go from $135 a month to $172 a month. I talked to the manager and she mentioned to me that when their property taxes go up then everyone's storage fees go up also. I didn't have a problem with the fee going up but why did it have to be a significant amount? So I decided to close my account. I did find a facility in Crete Illinois that had a decent fee amount that I'm paying now. Good Luck.
Super friendly staff
I came in to pay my bill and the PM was very nice, helpful and very friendly. Tina even answered the couple of questions I had,it is always a pleasure talking with Tina when she is there!!!!

Stay far away if you are a storage auction buyer they cheat to get more money for the unit. I won an auction for $10. I called and scheduled an appointment for the next day to pick up once i arrived to pick up the unit the manager said it got canceled then I notice they relisted the unit. They made me drive 40 mins for nothing.

I moved out of my storage unit April 30th and nobody was in office to check me out. I’ve been calling since the 30th with no answer and I’ve went through the website to inform them of a move out and they still haven’t checked my storage unit to close out my account. This is extremely unprofessional. They need to either hire more people cause no one is ever there to speak to me or nobody ever answers the phone.

Apparently I have 1 returned check in over a decade, and I am told I can not submit checks anymore. Your business will soon stop taking cash, leaving the only way to paid is by credit card. This is stupid.
I’ve been with public storage for 30 years . I love the customer service . I really love the public storage in Chicago Heights , the manager name Nathan make you feel like family . Nathan is so genuine to the point you’re happy to make your payments .
Everytime I call or go into the office, Nathan is always so helpful and polite.

Nathan was helping Me after my other unit got a leak it and he showed me how to do the insurance claim and how to transfer and then helped me move some of my items into the new unit

So I came in today because I had questions about my reservations and wanted to see if I could change the date. I will say not only was Nathan very helpful he was very informative about the different size storage rooms. I am currently in the process of moving so this is all new to me and he made the entire experience very smooth. Too expensive. They have by been going up on the rates quite regularly. I asked the service representative why this was and he said each location is independent. All the rates vary by location. Both facilities up the road are cheaper and retained their rates while mine has doubled...
