Very clean facilities inside and out. Super friendly staff.

The site attendant was terrific. The space I reserved was rented to someone else, my timeline of when I got access is very important. The attendant resolved the issue and I got a slightly better unit.

Tracy was extremely helpful and nice. Got it for a good price.

Tracy at the Bourbonnais location on Larry Power Rd is so extremely helpful. I called to check on my auto payment because our credit card had to have a new one issued and my payment didn’t go through automatically. While talking with her I mentioned how hard of a time I’ve had lately with everything and she got my rent decreased for me for 6 months. Honestly I was trying to figure out how to arrange to get my stuff out of there in the next couple months and now that she’s helped me I won’t have to. She saved one of their customers and I appreciate it so much. Public Storage bosses Tracy is great to your customers.

Site is clean, secure, and staff is friendly. Price is also reasonable for what you are getting. Would recommend to anyone in need of a little extra space.

Customer service was excellent!

Words can not express how satisfied I was with my service. Long story short, I locked my keys in my car while I was accessing my storage unit. While waiting for the locksmith to arrive my friends and I had to wait in the office with Lashawna. She was kind enough to get us chairs to sit in while we waited and even bottles of water to drink. She even put up with us as we played charades in the lobby to pass the time. After the amazing customer service shown by Lashawna I will absolutely be recommending Simply Self Storage to my friends in the future! Thank you Lashawna, you were a bright spot in our day!!

RENTERS BEWARE. PRICES GO UP MANY TIMES. THEY REMOVED DUMPSTER SO WE COULD NOT THROW 2 SMALL BAGS AWAY. THEY SAID THEY DON'T WANT TO PAY FOR A DUMPSTER FOR CUSTOMERS. IT USE TO BE THERE. RENT DOWN THE STREET LITERALLY.

Affordable storage, excellent customer service!!!

Updated April 13th: After I got home and reviewed my receipt I found multiple charges that I had not agreed to, was not informed of, and a charge for a lock that was "included" and "came with" the rental. While I don't oppose the individual items and would have happily paid for them (except for the lock that expressly stated I didn't want at least twice) if I had been informed of them upfront and in a straight forward manner. However, this was not how Lashawna chose to do business. There is no corporate line or email, only a corporate voice mailbox. After waiting almost 2 weeks for a callback, I left a second message and was contacted within 24 hours by Kerri the district manager. Kerri was patient and did a fantastic job trying to mitigate the situation. However it boiled down to this: my trust was broken from the begining. I did not trust that the site manager had my best interest in mind and might follow through with any future promises. I didn't trust that any issues in the future could be addressed in a timely matter by the corporate team. In the end I terminated my lease on April 11th, barely 2 weeks in. When I brought back the lock that the site manager charged me for and picked up my exit paperwork, I asked if it was possibly to refund the lock she sold me (and opened behind the counter). She said she as the site manager, didn't have that ability. She also confirmed that while this company prorates the start of services they do not prorate the exit. Which is understandable, but irritating since I had paid for a month and a half but left after only half a month. I was planning on eating this charge and giving a 1 star review, but Kerri contacted me via email and graciously submitted a full refund for me without my asking. The refund processed the next day. When it's all said and done, it's really up to you if you want to do business with this company. Some folks like Kerri seem to genuinely care about their customers. I sincerely hope that my experience was a 1 off, but if you do I would recommend you do so at another facility. –---Original review for reference------ Lashawna was an absolute joy to work with!
