Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 809 S KCID Rd, Caldwell, ID

UPDATE: it has been a month, and the problem has not been fixed. the secure storage facility is not at all secure. front gate is still wide open. no emails or anything from this company stating the situation. for us with RV's it is a big deal my monthly rate got raised over 30 percent. As i type this, the entry gate does not work and is stuck open, so much for controlling who comes in and out. The gate is also not open all the way and comes close to hitting my rv and its not a big 5th wheel type. I don't recommend. pretty expensive to park in dirt, theres better options.

This place is terrible. I booked an RV parking spot online. When I went to look at it the next day nobody was in the office. It was locked and nobody answered the phone all day. The gate to get in was open and still is days later and I was told they will have a temporary fix in a week or so. Not secure at all. I canceled my reservation because the spot was to hard to back into because it's right by the gate. The girl on the phone said I could come and look at another one, so I went there a couple hours later and she already gave it to someone else. They refunded the cost of the spot but kept a $29.99 administration fee even though I never moved in and still had 12 days before the move in date. I called corporate and after getting the run around from some idiot I asked for the manager. After I explained the situation she just hung up on me. Terrible company, horrible customer service and not a secure storage facility.

Came in to find a place to store and my camping gear and other stuff that was hogging up space in my garage, the girl in the office was super helpful and very sweet, I think her name was Carly. I walked in and she was super friendly and welcoming! 5/5 , would recommend to my friends

Absolutely the worst storage place I've ever used in thirty years of having a storage unit. They raised the price significantly two months after moving in. I've never had that happen! Im experiencing medical issues and informed them I'd be late for awhile and would just pay the late fee, but they CONSTANTLY contact you about payment. Now my rate is back up again just a couple months later. I've emailed TWICE in the last week, no response. Ive called there number and now it doesn't let you talk to anyone. It says it's only for new renters. If I weren't out of state I'd have moved out of there months ago. They hold you hostage! PUBLIC STORAGE IS THE WORST!

Phones are not answered and some of the staff are rude. Prices are ridiculous.

Absolutely unscrupulous company. After renting a space, they immediately raised the rates by 40%. When I left, I was charged $350 for not leaving it in "as rented" condition, which is absolutely excessive and predatory business practices. DO NOT GO HERE.

Very clean property, and Miss Carly was very helpful! Very informative.

Came in today and rented with Marti. She was so kind and helpful. Only need the unit until the end of September. This is my second time working with her and always great service.

Great facility, I’ve liked it other than a few issues. The issues outweigh the good unfortunately. Beware of rate hikes. They got me in at a good rate that seemed like it would last. The corporate computer decided differently. It was not advertised as an introductory rate like a lot of facilities offer. They increased my rate by 36%. I called and they said my space is still below “market rate” which tells me I may see another increase. It sounds like 36% is the max they’re legally allowed to increase at once. I also experienced damage to my rv that the local manager wasn’t able to help with because they don’t have access to the security camera historical footage(corporate does). I tried calling corporate and ultimately got worn out. I will say the local manager has been as helpful as they are able to be with the restrictions. They reached out to surrounding renters to ask about the damage to my RV. One more thing to add. I pay for covered parking and there’s bird poop all over my rv. Bird mitigation is not done well. covered areas.

Easy access via wireless. Friendly and attentive staff. Move in has been a breeze!

Tenisha is AWESOME! She was professional in every way. This move was very stressful for me and I was having such a bad day and Tenisha was attentive to my problems. She calmed my nerves, she listened. She treated me with respect. I felt that I wasn't just another customer. She is one of a kind!! People like her are hard to find! She has great work ethics which is rarely seen anymore. Thank you so very much Tenisha!!!

The girl Carly in the office was super helpful and set us up with a spot to park our trailer. 5/5 service, I wish all places had people like her!

We have been tenants at the KCID location for awhile now, we often have various questions about things and every time we interact with Carly, she is always so nice and helpful.

When I went in looking at prices on storages I was meet with a wonderful lady named Marti find the prices I like, I highly recommend going here to get good prices and clean storages

The customer service is definitely lacking... The storage areas are clean.

I highly recommend these storage units. Carly is an amazing, kind and sweet young lady. She is very knowledgeable and helpful. If she doesn’t know the answer she will find out for you. Every time I go into the office is clean and welcoming. The only thing I wished that Public Storage did was give us 24/7 access to our units but besides that I have nothing to complain about.

I was just price shopping but it’s my first pick so far. I like the prices and Karlie was friendly she showed me different space sizes and had good recommendations!

Prices keep going up and up. Have RV stored with cover nothing more and it has gone up to 135. Could see paying more if had plug ins

I reserved a unit online. Called to confirm it would be held. They assured me it would be. I noticed the next day the unit was again available online. I called and they told me they would not reserve it, and it was the first come first served. Then they went as far as dropping the price by $39. What a-holes. I went somewhere else, and they are still at he lower price. Seems to me to be a price bait and switch scam. Get you in low and stick it to you the next month.

Had a space inCaldwell ID Centeal Self Storage for 3 years. Never a late payment. Went to move out and they would not waive the 30 day notice requirement. And Central Self Storage talks about great customer service. Would not advise anyone who expects reasonable treatment to go to Central Self Storage anywhere in the USA.

Very clean inside and out, rest rooms could place their cleaning equipment better.

Absolute joke of a place to rent from! No access past 8pm, which is ridiculous because any other storage company in the treasure valley has access till at least 11pm! Management is very strict and no willing to help anyone out. Oh and don’t even get me started on the late fee policy, if you are literally one minute passed 12:00 am on the first of every month it’s an automatic $15 late fee! No ifs ands or buts! I’ve rented from several other companies that have at least a 3 to 5 day grace period. Yeah this place sucks! Stay far away!
