I’ve been a loyal customer at the Waipio Uka location for many, many years. the reason I stayed with them is their great customer service, location and the sense of security it provides. I appreciate the fact that there is a secured gate and not an open lot where anyone could just enter. The office staff - Maria & Ling, made my unit transfer very seamless. So very friendly and great customer service! My rating reflects the dissatisfaction regarding the rental cost increase amounts, even after being a loyal customer for over 18 years. I would hope they would look into a loyality plan of some sort, in the near future.

Great Storage location! And the Office Staff Maria & Janet were phenomenal, very friendly & helpful.!! Maria walked me through the process in great detail, to include how to use the app when entering the access gate (if u don’t want to use the Keypad).
The location has plenty of space if you drive a Big F-150 like I do. Also plenty of Space for large moving Trucks, to where you won’t have to worry about obstructions.
This is my 2nd storage location on Oahu, & by far the best staff I’ve encountered.

Maria is the best. I had help moving and made a mistake with which PS location to move my stuff into. Anyway, we were already here trying to move in but couldn’t understand why the gates weren’t working. Maria came out and asked what was going on and I looked at my reservation and realized we were at the wrong PS and asked her if we could change it on the spot to this location since we’d already started to unload all the cars. Maria was so helpful and made phone calls to the other property and figured all the paperwork out to get my account switched to this location. 5/5 stars!

Wouldn’t dare use another location, I like the security and safety of this location. My only gripe is stop raising my rates public storage! Which I know the staff there have no control of. Maria at the Waipio Gentry location was awesome she was so patient and friendly always with a smile on her face showing us the different units multiple times so we can decide what we really need. She also helped us to set up our account on the app and made us try it out in case we had any questions or ran into any problems. Fern and Maria have been very helpful with the units I've had. I've switched units multiple times, and each time, the process was quick. Fern explained to me the details of what would be the best option for me. Maria was very friendly, and even though I had mistakenly left the lock on my old unit, she was kind enough to tell me it was OK and not to worry. Both Fern and Maria work great together as a team and are always happy to answer any questions that you may have.
As for the units itself, there are flatbeds that you can use for your convenience. There are more than enough so you don't have to worry. Inside is very clean, which is great! And I believe the 2nd and 3rd floor has AC, so if you're working a sweat, you'll be able to cool down a bit. Another thing is, if you download the public storage app, you can conveniently see your payments and when it's due. And open the gates and elevators through your phone rather than typing in the pass code.
All in all, I find this public storage to be in amazing quiet spot, that can run its business really well, and it's mainly because the staff there are very friendly and organized.
Facility is great, clean, and the staff are much more better to work with and very personable. You know that the staff is great when the renters are always saying hi and smiling to the staff, know them by their first name and always coming out with a smile. Maria at Public storage at Wapio Uka location made the transition to this facility worthwhile. I was having issues with another unit at a different location and was ready to just move out, but found a unit that was available at the Wapio Uka St location. Maria was so helpful and awesome during my initial visit to see the unit and she did such an awesome job when it comes to customer service. She showed me around the facility, showed me the correct or exact unit for rent, answered all my questions and even provided me options. Chanda from corporate (yes I had to contact their corporate/ division manager for my issues with one of the facility) helped me with a problem with a previous unit at a different location and it was investigated. Chanda helped me correct the issues and worked with my transition to a new one with Maria at the Wapio Uka St location. And even after all that and the move, and I started renting, Maria would continue to follow up, made sure my unit was secure, and made sure all my needs met and that any other issues were resolved. I am glad that I got to meet them and would recommend this location to anyone. Thank you!
I've been renting a locker for over 15 years the place is good clean friendly service some workers not to friendly. But owell make do prices are little pricey but now days what's not pricey lol check um out Aloha
This is the best public storage location. I have interactions with Maria and Bran and both of these employees are exceptional and very personable. Anytime I was at my storage unit and the employees walked by they always engaged me in a conversation, to make sure I was happy and if there was anything they could do to make things better. I rented a locker from this location from 2019 - 2023, and if I need any more storage I would return to this location no question!

Increasing parking space price without providing proper notification. I called and they stated I was sent an email. Looking throughout my email and none was found. Mind you, I have 2 TB storage. I just said ok.. parking was $260 something in the beginning then increased to $318 per month. I said ok no problem, then looked at my app and next payment is $365/mo this September... talking about being robbed. They said they will see if they can adjust my rate.. let's see if they do and I might have to change my rating. I'll post an update.
Update18Aug21: The Resident Manager called and found a solution. From my understanding, I will be credited and at the meantime they will put me on a waitlist for a smaller parking. She even tried to relocate me for a lower rate. I rated them a two star but changing to 5 since the Staff is so responsive to their customers. BRAVO ZULU.

It was very easy to reserve and pay online. We arrived at the facility soon after and went right in with the access code texted to us. We were able to fill and secure the locker the same day. Though we did all this without interacting with the staff, they called us that day to make sure everything went smoothly and they answered other questions we had. Excellent facility, excellent staff.

Walked into the office and met Lou he located a unit that fit my criteria. Unfortunately they did not have any available. He did find one at a sister property which i will be renting. He is coutreous and efficent.
Wow! This Public Storage location along Waipio Uka is well-deserving of a 5-star rating on customer service alone. Maria and Lou were phenomenal at assisting me in getting an uncovered parking stall for my vehicle.
My time there was spent primarily in the main office and the uncovered parking stall area (in between the main storage facility and the perimeter fencing). The office was very clean with working AC, which made the space very comfortable. The sizes of the uncovered parking stall were as-advertised -- I could comfortably fit my Scion xB in the stall with enough space to swing my door open.
The storage facility is surrounded by fencing and an automated gate that can be unlocked using the Public Storage app or by manually inputing a code that is provided at the start of the rental period. There are surveillance cameras scattered throughout the area for an added layer of security.
A day prior to renting, I wanted to visit the space and get an understanding of how much it would cost. Maria was very accommodating and showed me the available stall. I felt no pressure to rent at that moment, and she informed me of the different ways to reserve/hold the spot if I changed my mind.
The morning after my initial visit, I mistakenly reserved a stall at another nearby Public Storage location via the website. Fortunately, Maria and Lou were able to correct my mistake in a matter of minutes. I was able to reserve the stall shortly after! It took less than 30 minutes for the entire process (which included correcting my initial mistake -- sorry again for the trouble, Maria!)
Overall, my experience at this Public Storage was fantastic. The main office and facility are great, and the customer service I received from both Maria and Lou were excellent. The process to rent was simple and fast. I highly recommend this location for any of your storage needs.

I needed an upgrade on a larger storage unit and Fern of Public Storage in Waipio Uka gladly accommodated me with one that is more than enough room to store my HHG items in. She was glad to help me and understood the space I needed and time constraints I had. It all worked well but of course the price also was a hike from smaller unit. But I am thankful she got me the storage I needed.

I rented a unit at this location for over 5 years. On just about every visit, Maria, the site manager, was there, ready to assist in any way and always with a smile and positive personality. It would surprise me when I'd go there for the 1st time in many months, and she'd still greet me, remembering my name!
Even though my unit was on the 3rd floor, I always felt that it was easy to get to. Carts were always readily available, it's nice and cool, and my belongings were very clean when I removed them.
I'll come back to this facility for any future storage I might need, even if it won't be the closest one, because of my very positive experience here.

A storage space is widely available in all areas of the state, however, if you want great service, I would rent a unit here. Maria has the spirit of Aloha. Personable, friendly, and concerned for your needs.
I was a tenant here for over 2 years and had my things stored perfectly and safely. The property was really close to home and easily accessed. The manager Maria was super helpful and really nice. If I ever need additional storage space in the future I will be back!

Went in to change my existing unit to a smaller one. Fern helped me initially and gave me great options to choose from whenever I was ready to make a decision. A frw days later, it was Maria who helped me change units. Walked me to the units and helped me decide what was best for me. Both ladies were very polite, knowledgable and professional. Transfer process was quick and easy. I would definitely recommend this location for all storage needs. Great facility and great staff.
On Site Manager at this location is very good. Flat Bed carts are readily available and in good working condition and the facility is kept clean and fresh. The office staff is very easy to work with and they have a bathroom on site for customers. I've been renting here since 2006 and am very satisfied with the management of the property. Easy 5-stars for this place.
