Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 3490 N Desert Drive, East Point, GA

I just wanted to say that I had a very pleasant interaction with the manager at this location Tammie...She helped me with a transfer from one facility to the next and she made it very easy! Great employee! I just wanted to mention that!

They auction off my items. The buyer suppose to reach out to me ( the auction contract states they suppose to return personal property with my information on it, pictures etc) they did not. They didn’t reach out to me and return my items like the contract states. I reach out to the office and they said theirs nothing they can do. I also ask them can I have time to pay my balance before they auction off my items. They said no. They auction off my items for $40. Now want me to pay the balance after they sold my stuff. I don’t really care about the furniture. I want my family pictures, diploma and things with my kids informs that they didn’t return.

It is an indoor rental property, so they have that "one" thing going for them. But be prepared to get hit with rent increase after rent increase after rent increase, and they start shortly after your contract begins. I've been at this property for less than two years, and I've gone from paying $95 when I first moved in, to getting hit with an almost $160 monthly rent!!!! I wasn't even informed about the last rent increase, just happen to notice it when my upcoming payment notice came. I have one of the smallest units in the building, 5x5, and I'm already paying far MORE than I was at my last Public Storage rental in Suwanee, which was a 5x15. Renter BEWARE.

GREAT STORAGE Facility

THIS IS THE ONE OF THE WORST COMPANY THEY LIE TO THEIR CUSTOMERS AND GIVE THEM FALSE INFORMATION. NO ONE IS NEVER IN THE OFFICE. THEY SAY YOU CAN CALL SOMEONE LADY NAME ERIC AND SHE NEVER RETURNS YOUR CALLS. I WOULD STORE MY DOG TOYS WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY HAVE THE WORST COUSTMER SERVICE TALKED TO SOME LADY WHO COLD BARLEY SPEAK ENGLISH BUT HAVE THE NERVE TO TRY AND TALK OVER PEOPLE. IF I COULD THEM A NEGATIVE STAR THEY WOULD GET IT.

ONE STAR. I received a random notice that my monthly rental rate will be going up $70. I called customer service to inquire about the increase as I did not have an introductory rate when I signed. The customer service rep said they have the right to increase rates with 30-days notice and this rate increase was due to change in market rates. I've only been in this unit for 5 MONTHS. I find it hard to believe that "market rates" have increased that much over a 5 month period. I've been in other storage units previously, for 2+ years and never had any rate increases. I also find it hard to believe that if "market rates" were to decrease, Public Storage would not offer me a lower monthly rate. After some research of other storage companies in the same area (same size units with same amenities), I found this "market rate increase" to be FALSE as all the other companies were $50-$100 lower than Public Storage's new rate (not an introductory rate). $70 monthly increase is outrageous!! I will be moving my property OUT of Public Storage ASAP and into a unit with a different company.

This was my first time having to get a storage unit. Kinderie, (sp?) was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I couldn’t have asked for better service. She’s a keeper.

If a business has business hours posted, why does the business not operate during those hours? I've been waiting 20 mins for a representative to show up and unlock these carts so I can move into the storage unit. The representative is 20 mins late....why is there only 1 person working here anyway? This is absurdity at its finest. I've been on the road for 10 hours and my Uhaul is due back today. The lateness of the representative is really an inconvenience to the time I have to complete my move!

The sale representative was very nice and helpful. Answer all my questions I left there satisfied thanks for storage.
