Its upsetting my issues revolving my unit haven’t been addressed ? You can’t reach the district manager the units have been accessed without people knowing an no one seems to care ? Are yall aware there’s a talk of possible litigation regarding this location appearing after public storage company took over ? I just saw a news report ?

Only 1 star reviews since Public Storage took over… Horrible company… They wouldn’t give me access to my unit with my stuff in it… (This unit had our extra medication in a safe that my wife needed)… and so I learned that the units are VERY easy to break into… Would have been even easier if I had a ladder.. Just took down their cross bar and hopped over. (I post in hopes they will change this) Obviously I tried to call the manager 10 times before and they refused to pick up. I called corporate 7 times and they couldn’t do anything. This is an electronic storage facility and you can’t remotely give me access to my unit? Or do ANYTHING to help me access my stuff?

Do not use this place! I purchased storage in November with a move in discount and to pay on the 23rd of every month. I paid in December only to be told that I owe on January 1st around the first week of January which didn’t seem fair. They claimed that they are under nee management and that was why and rent is due on the 1st. I have called on many occasions and never received a response until three weeks later saying my rent was past due and it wasn’t! They locked me out of my storage unit and I didn’t know why. So i paid on the first now of every month only to receive a text and a phone call saying it’s past due and your things will be auctioned off. The app will say that payment isn’t due until the 1st every time i pay and then they call me to say its past due before the first. No one ever calls back to explain why!!! Feels like a scan and a criminal operation!

This is an updated review, I've attached a screenshot of my original StoreEase review from a year ago. I am very unhappy w/ Public Storage. I rent 2 units, starting in 2023 & 2nd in 2024, for many reasons: 24 hr access, no pad lock access by mobile app, climate controlled, location, new, clean, gated, ease of renting, customer service, etc. Only 2 complaints about StoreEase, an increase in rent but that happened at several facilities. And the complete failure to inform customers of the facility changing ownership & brand, to allow us to make the changes if deemed necessary. In November it was taken over by Public storage, I found out when i came to my unit & seen a very cheap "Public storage" sign on the front, a few days later, 11/20/24, I receive an email welcoming me to Public storage, lease agreement to sign, door access code (which i never had to use before). What was not mentioned was the " changes", found out the hard way. Following week was Thanksgiving, I was leaving town on Tues. Mon. night go to my unit for luggage, around 9:45pm. I couldn't get in the building, hours of access are now 6am-9pm!!! I was furious then & I am now!!! Why do I no longer have access to my belongings at my convenience? Why was there zero mention of this important inconvenient change? I had to Google it. So I have to come back early Tues. morning, opposite direction of travel destination & pack in the parking lot! Are you kidding me? This has been a pain in the*** several times when needing something urgently out of my units. 90% of the customers chose this place for that reason, to be able to access their things at their convenience, it is far from being the cheapest place in the area. I have spoken to others & equally irrate as they were cleaning out their units to take their business elsewhere. #2 issue, they also decided to change the due date, instead of it being due monthly on the date u originally rented it, it's now due the 1st. Another change failed to be mentioned properly. Yes it's in the lease but they bombard you w/ several documents, distract you with 30 days no charge renters insurance that goes to a link w/ more documents. Statements do not state due date. Signing the lease in the app, text is tiny & zooming in to read it, good luck. Doesn't say hours of access , its written as hours of operation, to me that meant to contact customer service. #3 issue, their app doesn't open my units, "doesn't wake them up", I have to use StoreEase app to unlock my unit. Doesn't provide you w/ your door code, better have a great memory or good at keeping emails. Be prepared for total confusion about your account. my account currently states i am late & showing a balance as of Dec, however payment history reflects my Dec payment. But the virtual assistant provides balance & due date (not the 1st but the date I have been due for over a year. Idk if the app opens the entrance gate, they have yet to fix it after sustaining damage during Hurricane Helene. Or cut down the massive fallen tree covering nearly half of the road to the also broken exit gate, stuck halfway open. There is not a permanent employee on site, but someone does come by several times a week, to do an inspection of the grounds & facility, clean up anything needed. Another failure, weeks go by, see the same trash inside & out. There are brooms w/ dust pans hanging on the walls in all the entryways! It takes them weeks to dispose of anything someone left behind/outside, 3-4 weeks there has been a bag of hardened tile grout sitting in a doorway outside. I've seen the employee look at it & walk off. Apparently they also do not perform regular or professional grade pest control now there are roach motels & visually have seen/killed them crawling around. Over a year & never had this issue, maybe a moth will get in or a cricket by auto doors. But roaches? And the solution is random placed roach motels, unacceptable. #4 issue, good luck on getting in contact w/ the manager during regular hours. Returning calls is not a priority🤬.

This place just went downhill after public storage bought. I was unable to access my unit several times. No one available ar property or phone. Just chat and you get a call from manager in 72 hrs. Comeon what kind of customer service is that???

WE NEED HELP! No one will call us back! We have not been able to access our units since Public Storage took over from StoreEase. It’s been over a week since we brought this to your attention but no effort has been made to help us. The virtual help center is a joke and they are condescending! This cannot be legal!!!! BEWARE!!! My power went out in unit and cannot open. There is nobody on site that can open it for me and customer service just keeps saying there is a work order in. This has been going on for a week now and I have had to buy items that are locked in there, like tools, but the final straw is all of my Thanksgiving stuff is in there(chairs, tables, COOKER) and today is the day before Thanksgiving. This is beyond frustrating and I do not recommend electric lock units for this reason.

Showed up on Saturday to access my unit. The power to my unit was off and i was unable to open my unit, as there is only a phone app that allows you access. Several other units around mine were also without power. There happened to be someone at the facility, for the first time since i have had the unit, which when i first signed up it was Store Ease. The guy tried to help me by using a manual open rig, searching for breakers and calling his superiors. Was unable to come up with an answer for me and said they would contact when the problem was solved. It is now Monday night. The power is still off and there is no one on site to speak to. We have called every level of the company for help and no one is able to help us. They said we will most likely receive a call within 72 hours of today as if this problem hasn’t been going on for days. I desperately need what is inside of my unit. I as well as many other tenants are out of power and unable to access what we are paying you to store. I am beyond pissed at this point. Furys Ferry location in Augusta GA. Formerly Store Ease now Public Storage. After hurricane Helene hit our area, we lost access for 3 weeks. Not to mention there is a tree down directly in front of my unit and hanging in the roadway. Profit over service. Fix this problem.

DO NOT USE THIS STORAGE COMPANY!! My unit has been ransacked and over $1000 worth of things stolen along with my safe that had my sensitive information in it and my medical supplies. There system is allowing a pair of homeless people that were living in the unit beside mine to come as they please and steal my stuff. There needs to be security onsite since the business is basically open 24hrs and probably has more than just them living in these units. The electronic system is not a good idea. It doesn’t even alert you when your unit has been opened unless it’s by you or I’m guessing someone that’s you share access with. That’s what got me to store with them but after not being able to get into my unit after the hurricane as well as this huge issue I will no longer be storing with them and filing the necessary paperwork with the court against them because they have done nothing to stop this after it was brought to their attention. DO NOT STORE WITH THEM!!

Easy move in and out process with clean, temperature controlled facilities. Customer service was helpful before and after moving in. Thank you to Jalen for helping with closing the reservation of my unit today.

Bailee was a wonderful help to me. She was very pleasant and updbeat. She is an asset to your company.

It is nice to have 24 hour access to your storage unit. Everything is done on an app. You open the gate with app, open your storage door with app. Pretty cool. HOWEVER, if you do something like set your phone down in the unit and close the door... you are screwed. You can easily lock yourself out of the unit or even the building. This store offers a broom and dust pan for you to clean up after yourself... but they have forgotten to set you up with a trash can to put the sweepings into... but overall it is a better option. There is climate controlled interior units that are actually at a cool setting, and that keeps the place from smelling like a Goodwill.
