This is a 5 star rating if and only if you work with Mary. Don't go on Sunday or expect assistance because the office door is always locked despite a worker inside. The GM doesn't like to speak to customers either. I attempted to speak to her and she just ignored me.

I recently needed to rent a storage unit in Valrico and decided to go with Public Storage. I'm so glad I did! The facility was clean and well-maintained, and the rental process was quick and easy.
What really made my experience outstanding was the help I received from Mary. She was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to assist me. Mary's helpfulness made a stressful situation much easier to handle.
I highly recommend this Public Storage location, especially if you have the opportunity to work with Mary.

I haven't had any problems with this storage facility. The manager, Mary, is excellent. She's very polite and very helpful. Storage units are exceptionally clean so is the facility and the parking lot. I recommend this storage facility to all my friends. And one of them even rented a storage unit.
The Valrico location was extremely clean and well kept. During the entire process from start to end, Mary had excellent customer service, was very friendly, and provided her help and support with whatever was needed! We have been very happy with our choice!

I’ve been wanting to get out of this storage unit that I’ve had for years but couldn’t find the key to my lock. I asked the employees (Mary and another guy) if they would cut the lock off for me. They said no. My SIL trying to help me borrowed a lock cutter and tried to cut it off for me. It wasn’t the right size so he asked her again and she boasted that they had one but they would not let him borrow it or cut it off. Very unhelpful people and rude. I finally did get rid of this because he bought the right size just for this. I would still be paying the huge unreasonable price if he hadn’t helped me. Glad to be out of there.

They have a Roof leak on the inside units. Not from a storm it probably needs some type of repair due to the age. Just two weeks ago, I went to my unit after about six months, and there was water damage on my belongings. Some were replaceable furniture, flooring, clothes but it molded inside containers that had irreplaceable things that my children have made over their years in school & photos etc.
On top of the rat droppings all over the floor you could see the water stains on the concrete with the roof coming in.
The office lady proceeded to tell me that “there was a ticket open for the roof to be looked at due to potential leaks “on the concrete wall side of building when Public Storage was taking over. Her words with witnesses verbatim!!!!
As I walked through the hall and look at the ceiling through the small opening of all of the other units, I see the roof coming in as well.
So I had to move what I could to another unit for the time being “away from the wall” she insisted. So because of their negligence, I have to file a claim with my homeowners insurance if I want to be compensated for the things I lost or are damaged. This was not a storm that came through or a sudden fire…. This was obviously their negligence, and it was known by the office staff. So Jane, District manager tells me she’ll give me a one month credit for the inconvenience!! Unbelievable! 1 month - a $100 credit??!!! I will be sure to drag this facility in the DIRT everywhere I go!!
I want to give a shout-out to Bob! He is excellent and so pleasant to work with. This will be my 3rd time renting a unit at this location. I have been happy with all my interactions with the employees. Access and location are good and prices are the going market rate. Great place in the area and Say hi to Bob!

Rented a unit for a year before Public Storage took over. They communicated everything and the transition was very smooth. Now we’re downsizing to a smaller unit. Mary is very helpful and kind. Highly recommend!

Representative call me back at the appropriate time explain to me what the email was about and also how to remove insurance. She was great friendly attitude love it that’s why I still have my account there.
Absolutely horrible I canceled my membership there and have not been there in over seven months did not sign a renewal yet they keep charging my card. I went as far as changing my bank account because I do not live in the state and yet they keep sending me bills. I talk to the lady there and told her I have not been there in seven months. And have signed no contract yet they keep charging me beware the company is a scam
Just rented a couple of units. The units were clean. Mary at the office is very friendly, someone you wouldn't mind talking to everytime you come into the storage facility.
She's also a hard worker from what I've seen so far.
The managers are helpful and know their jobs and that is a big deal these days. Mary is usually there and Linda provided excellent assistance as well. Like any storage business there will be computer and other problems, but when there is a problem these are the people you want on the case. If you want your goods to be safe and secure and benefit from good customer service, this is a good storage option.

Mary was great. She helped me with getting a 15×10 storage unit and explained everything to me very well. I showed up on Saturday late and a gentleman told me that they had a promotion and when just went back on Wednesday she honored the promotion for me.

I just cleaned out my unit 235 and closing my account auto payment, but They are pretty good. Would recommend to those in the Bloomingdale area once the damn construction is finally done.

I just wanted to share this review of simply storage valrico Florida. I was in need of a storage unit so I called simply storage. The lady behind the desk was extremely helpful. She made checking in to get our unit very easy and enjoyable. She took her time to answer each and every question that I had and to show me the unit. Very nice very helpful. I would definitely recommend renting from there. Plus the prices were cheaper than most places in the area.

I had all of my household items stored there for 15 months and everything came out great. There were no issues getting into the unit. Everything came out without that storage smell that sometimes happens. Opening and closing out the storage also went very well thanks to the wonderful staff.
This is a very safe and clean facility!!!! I have had to store my belongings in the past but never received the warm welcome that I received here from Mary!!!! Mary is an absolutely wonderful person and you will feel very comfortable leaving your personal stuff under the watch of this staff that truly cares!!! Will never store anywhere else!!!!

Really nice facility! Customer service cant be better! They are very friendly staff and easy process. Only complaint is temperature inside.they are climate storage and im not expecting 60 degrees ac but when it os 95 outside and 80 inside and we are loading and offloading heavy stuff and it is 80 inside it gets annoying. I hope to keep temp lower. Other than that building is neat and facility is well kept. I would give 5 if the temp is lower. Great job here!

Edit: After a pleasant conversation with Mary at the office, I want to clarify my review. This location is closest to my house and the staff there are super-friendly and super-helpful; if the review was about them - it would be 5 stars, no question. My reason for the 1-star review reflects on the company's policy of jacking up rent on the units not once, but twice in a one year period. Due to the fact that this review actually impacts Mary and her business far more than it will Simply Storage corporate, I have altered it to meet in the middle.

The company has now increased the rent on the units twice in the past year by $45 -- that's a 33% increase which is well above inflation, not to mention it's non-environmentally controlled unit. What parts of the inflated economy are impacting storage exactly?
The manager was very helpful. I went in and received a warm welcome. She showed me the unit I decided to rent and I filled out the info needed and made my payment. So far I feel very satisfied with the service I was given. The price was very good and very competitive to others I had called. Cameras over the entire property which made me feel better about storing my belongings here. Thank you for the excellent service. Wasn't rushed and was very nice to deal with.

Bob was amazing while he took care of getting me squared away with renting a unit. He was quick but very friendly and made sure everything was done right and answered any questions s I had with patience. We rented a 10×10 out the door it was 188.00 included a one time fee and insurance as well as lock. I wasn't able to find that size for that prize available same day. Great thing about Bob is that he called to see if I still wanted a 5×5 and when I asked about 10×10 he held my reservation until I could make it in to pay. Great customer service and I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a storage unit.

I stored a house full of stuff in a driveup unit here for just over a year never had any problems, my stuff was completely safe and never worried about it. Moving out was a breeze. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was the price continued to go up which from my understanding is normal even more so in the way the market has been over the last year. The owner/manager is super sweet and keeps an eye out on everything calls if there is anything that seems out of place. Example: brother inlaw went to get some stuff from the unit and he broke the key for my lock so he left it unlocked while he came to get the second key from me. I got a call within shortly after he left letting me know the unit was left unlocked. Would completely rent another unit here but hopefully won't have to.
