I buy storage units and quite often I buy from public storage. Up until this past weekend my experience has been great. Saturday I bought a unit and on Sunday the owner showed up to make a payment and found out it was sold. Apparently the employee pulled out the paperwork to call me about it and left it so the unit owner could see it and they snapped a photo getting my address and showed up at my house. Safer practices should be taken to protect the buyers of storage units.
I want to give a big shout out to Chrissy. She is fantastic. Great customer service very helpful. I’ve been here for several months and she’s always been very kind. She knows the area. She gives great suggestions for stores In the area. The facility is always clean and I will say she is always visible on grounds. I’m off in Hair alone and it’s comforting to know that there’s someone on ground trans what’s going on? I appreciate you. Thank you so much for all your help Chrissy. You’re fantastic. Thank you for making me smile.

My home was flooded in hurricane Helene. I rented a storage to try to save what little I had left. I never went to the facility because our property manager found us a place to go. When I went to cancel I saw I had chosen the wrong location. I called a couple days later to check on my refund and was told it would be 5 to 7 days. After 10 days (and another hurricane) I called again and was told I don’t get a refund because I didn’t cancel within 24 hours. The representative just kept reciting their policy at me. Apparently they do not care about extreme circumstances and prefer to just keep my $287 for nothing. I could not cancel in their timeframe because I was busy trying to salvage what I could and trying to find a new place to live.
Misty helped me with all of my needs! The app makes it super “easy” but she helped me set up my phone and be able to access my unit!! Great customer service highly recommend this location

This is probably the worst experience I have had with any business as far as communication, support, and security of our rented space. To elaborate, when I wanted to move out, I figured our lock would be secure and entact. However, upon going to this location in early May, our lock was busted and damaged; the key did not work because someone tried forcing our lock. This theory is supported by two pieces of evidence: the smell of human urine in the facility which our unit is, as well as the brute-force entry of the unit directly across from ours. This is the lack of security, as there is a lack of cameras and security to the doors to the actual units, meaning someone can hop the locked gate yo the outside lot and enter any of the facilities and tamper with people's rented property.
The lack of communication comes from the property manager. I did not know what to do in this situation of being locked out of my unit. I was told by the staff on-site that I would need to drill the lock myself. This did not feel right, so I contacted Public Storage support directly and they told me to not drill any holes in the lock, and to contact the property manager to initiate a locksmith form and the locksmith would not be an out-of-pocket charge to me, but could take from 2 weeks to a month to actually get to my work order (like, seriously??) or I could hire my own, because the lock is my responsibility. So I did just that, called and left two voicemails, and did not receive a callback in a timely manner. I reached out to Public Storage support again, as this endeavor is already reaching two weeks of not having any contact, and it is the end of May, so regardless, thanks to scummy practices and poor communication from the property manager, I have to pay another month. I scheduled a move-out date again and hired my own private locksmith, as I was not going to wait another month. I finally get a call from the property manager and let them know what's going on with the lock, and they tell me over the phone that I am more than welcome to drill a hole in my lock. I again contact Public Support to double-check, they again tell me do not drill a hole, fill out the locksmith form and wait the period between 2-weeks to a month. The day of my move-out date, the property manager contacts me again, saying I can just drill a hole, but she can setup a locksmith form for me to sign. At this point, I had already scheduled a private locksmith to assist with the broken lock I was given. Thankfully, he was able to assist with getting my lock off and I finally vacate.
The bottomline here is do not engage with Public Storage as an entity. There are plenty of other places that take security seriously, and are more well-equipped to support their customers. The fact that I had to jump through hoops to vacate because someone tampered with my lock is absurd. Security of the lot itself is not the tenants responsibility, and that is where this Public Storage property manager falls way short of.

The workers Misty and Noah at the 4500 34th St N Public Storage location are great they are very polite and kind they make everyone feel welcome and they are always happy to help. I highly recommend this facility for your storing needs they have great rates and many features like 24 hour surveillance easy to use gate access, they have a free Public Storage App that you can pay your bill right through your phone so you can skip the trip to the office. You can also use the app to open the gate so you don’t even have to leave your vehicle. These are just a few of the many features they have I would recommend Public Storage to anyone who wants their belonging kept safe and secure.

I wanted to purchase a pizza making table from a gentleman who was renting here, but i wanted to make sure it worked first. Since the units don't have power in them, i wasn't sure what to do. I asked the gentleman working at the whose name is Noah, and not only was he nice enough to provide an outlet, he even helped me push the table to it! Talk about above and beyond! If I ever need to rent a unit, I will definitely come here because it's rare to find service of this level.

I've been trying to make my payment online for weeks now and I keep getting an "the bank cannot process this transaction right now sorry try again later." My storage unit is going to be sold if this isn't fixed.
Was only here to empty out a unit that we won in an auction which we normally have three days to do it however the following day we were due to get hit with a hurricane the staff said that they could add a couple extra days due to the current hurricane. Was very nice of the staff to be so accommodating.
Once again Icame in to pay my bill and Diana's so patient with questions I had on rent increases. Very easy !!!!

Had monthly storage/lot with them for my RV. Bad customer service and experience overall - will never rent with them at that facility again. They put me in one spot and someone else started parking there when I had the RV out for a couple of days. They told me they didn't have a way to contact that person - didn't know who it was to get them to move. So they put me in another spot. I paid on time every month and then scheduled my move out. Someone parked in my spot after my move out date and they kept calling me to pay! I called them and said that I moved out and it was shown in their system as me moving out. They apologized for the error and said that it was someone else and they had to figure out who and how to get in touch with them, that they would take care of it. Called back and was told they would take care of it. They ended up charging monthly payments to me for 3 more months and sent the debt to collections! They didn't correct their mistake and then dropped me with the bill. I've called their office repeatedly and they refuse to call back or correct. I've disputed the debt with proof of payment and move-out. I will never rent with this facility again and I encourage others to be very careful before renting with them again. Bad experience with them!

Very easy. Never had to step in the office. Was able to pay online, the app allows you to open the gate without jumping in and out of your vehicle. They had they lock and key right in my unit. It's been simple and I haven't had to have any interaction with people lol

I would rate this a 1 however Diana provided excellent customer service so 3 stars it is. However they jacked up my monthly fees 3 times within a year. For 2 storage units I was paying 200 originally but after the price hikes the cost soared to 400. Also the units are falling apart with asbestos and insulation falling all over my belongings.

Given 5 stars ,but not your fault but the drive between units is way too small for big Penski trucks to get through!! Was driving the truck to help my friend moved and it really was a pain in the....I been driving 18 wheelers for a living 30 years and was disappointed in driving a box truck and the struggle to manage to get down the row.

Everything is new great place
My husband and I buy storage units either abandoned or at auction. We purchased a unit at this Public Storage facility, like we have done several times in the past. I am no stranger to palmetto bugs, I am a native Floridian. This unit was absolutely disgusting with roaches. Every time we moved anything inside the roaches scattered. Unfortunately just about everything in this unit had to be taken to the waste facility. Please be aware if you are thinking of renting a unit here, they don’t care if there are roaches. The lady in the front office laughed when we told her they roaches were horrible. Then she said, yep they will be in all my other units now too. I am writing this post to make anyone aware, they don’t care even if someone BLATANTLY has proof of the infestation. We will never bid on another unit at this facility. We have done several at other Public Storage facilities as well a couple other units at this one. A couple bugs is one things but THOUSANDS is a totally different situation. Anyone on the section E row needs to check their units ASAP. We couldn’t stop the bugs from going into other units. The staff didn’t care. Just sad.

I thought this was a great place when my wife & I started renting a storage unit. Price continues to climb. 180.00, 200.00 & now 235.00. I understand everything is rising. I don't understand why when you pay your bill on time monthly & have been a loyal tenant for many years that you don't at least get notice its going up until you log in to pay. VERY UNHAPPY!!!

Watch out how fast they raise your rates
They charge way to much for a storage unit that the fire chemical on the ceiling is falling down in huge hunks and ruining my belongings.. rates keep going up tho
I just want to say that I'm truly flabbergasted at how nice and personable the staff is here. My brother and I just cleaned out two units at this facility and not only did they work with us on the time Diana personally helped me figure out a dilemma with finishing out my job on time and with as little expense as possible. She greeted me with a smile and had me giggling before I stepped foot out of her office. If every facility had someone like her then life would be a lot happier and less stressful. Thank you so much for a lovely experience.
