Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 4051 W 1st St FL 46, Sanford, FL

I have been using this site for nearly 10 years. Over this time, I have had to deal with many site attendants and Meadow by far has been the most professional, friendly and helpful associate I ever had to work with there. Her ability to understand and work with my concerns far surpassed any staff personal before. She is the reason why this Public Storage location gets a good grade, and I can be pretty certain that whatever Public Storage pays her is not nearly enough.

My wife stored some things here and chose this location. I had my account on auto pay and I didn't realize the card expired the day after they tried to charge my card and it didn't go through they removed my lock forcibly and put theirs on to charge me for the lock on top of a late fee as well as took pictures of the inventory in my locker to sell before 30 days were up I rectified the situation after numerous times bordering the harassment level and paid them off but when it came time to close out my account they said that I required a property manager and due to the hurricane they were only available during certain times by appointment only even though there was no damage to the property itself . It just seems funny that our phones Ring Off The Hook when they needed payment for something however when we needed to get in touch with them there are nowhere to be found so I lost two and a half weeks waiting for them to get back to me. But in all fairness the space was clean and secure and nothing was missing that's why I'm giving him a three stars only because of the incident that I occurred but other than that they seem to run a secure facility. Also I'd like to know my property wasn't damaged in any way as well flight or removed yeah, however I did feel violated they went in there the next day and cut off my lock. And went into the unit but in that's why I'm giving a three stars because of the semantics I had to go through. And just the verbiage they use would definitely be intimidating to the average Joe, by making statements that they were going to auction off my property. My whole point was that when I needed to communicate with them crickets when they needed payment of any sort my phone wouldn't stop ringing via text or anything of that nature.

36 hours before a hurricane and the property is locked during business hours with no prior notice. (Edit: There was an email sent the day before.) Thanks for nothing, Public Storage.

Meadow was amazing and showed her experience with great customer service. Very helpful and knowledgeable.

I’ve been storing here for 3 years but when public storage took over I was a little worried & almost dissatisfied with the transition due to my job as a truck driver. However Meadow changed my negative perspective into a positive one. Not only did she go above and beyond to make sure my storing needs were met. But she made it her personal business to make sure in any way she could to make sure i would be happy and things went smoothly with my storing needs. Her sweet and professional demeanor is a reflection of this company. And now I’m always happy when I call and she picks up because I know she will take care of me. Thank you, meadow for all you do!

Josie was very polite and patient, and bring good welcome. I don't now is a great place to store, but After you in the storage you don't get help at all. No body answer your email. They don't care about anything or you. Is only about money and for my is no good service. Good people like Josie boot no body answer if you nite help.

They keep going up on the price of those little little sheds that they call storage spaces

kept spam calling me for days. eventually they left a voicemail saying they had important matters to discuss with me. called back and they say i owe them $? But i live completely in another state and never heard of this company, must be just trying to scam old people to pay random peoples units?

Been sitting in parking lot for over an hour - we have called this property 15 times in the past 2.5 hours. No response. Left several message's -Terrible customer service. There is NOONE at this site! No manager has even call us back! Extremely disappointed

Started renting here in May. Love the accessibility of the unit and but not the customer service. Just got off the phone with Barbra to ask a few questions and when I was confused I was met with sass and rudeness. This isn’t the first time I’ve spoken with their employees and everyone seems to hate their jobs.

Spoke to the customer service line trying to get prices for a location on 1792 in Sanford the one I wanted that is 2 minutes from my home was $45 I asked for a better price she gave me a different location and asked me if I would be interested in a I asked for a better price she gave me a different location and asked me if I would be ok with that, I said no I wanted to be closest to home as I could be and basically she got very short with me when I was telling her CubeSmart across the street was almost half the price she got rude!

My experience here was excellent. Everyone was so helpful great customer service experience. The units and building nicely cleaned and well kept.

I was able to rent a climate controlled storage from this facility and so far everything has been wonderful. The staff have been very helpful with all my needs. They are both very friendly and are willing to go the extra mile for their customers. I haven’t received this high level of fantastic customer service from any other self storage facility. Well done! I will recommend this facility to others.

BEWARE! Have a storage unit inside building and am experiencing a major problem-rodents. Recently went to unit and upon entering building there was a terrible smell. Inside unit rodent droppings all over the floor and on boxes. A box was moved and underneath was a dead mouse. Two other boxes had another dead mouse sandwiched between. Boxes in the front had been chewed through and insides were damaged-photos taken. Christina, the facility manager observed the situation, sprayed Lysol which did not get rid of the stench and the area was swept up. Comment was made she thought mice came in after the hurricane due to the area outside the building flooding. I have a disability and had to leave the facility. She gave me the CEO's contact info and he didn't return my calls. I called for District Manager who advised they would give 2 months credit and nothing else. What I need is help- trying to navigate removal of the mice ( have no idea how many are in the unit and whether they are alive or dead), discarding my damaged household goods and finding someone who was even willing to enter my unit and deal with rodents and move my things because I can't be around any of it. I did not cause this issue! Have spoken to exterminators and movers to no avail. Either they don't treat storage units or won't treat just one - say they have to treat all because if they are in one they usually are in more than one. Apparently that's true-am aware of unit in another building reporting mice. To add insult to injury on 6 5 23 received a recorded call & text stating rent was PAST DUE for June. Christina and I have stayed in touch throughout this ordeal but she didn't even call me about the billing error. In addition a 2nd contact is on my account in the event and they were not contacted. I had someone tell me if the rent isn't paid your unit goes to auction! UPDATE: I had to contact District Manager and he advised was correcting PAST DUE ERROR. 6 9 23 went to facility and got copy of statement showing NO PAST DUE and now 0 balance.

Had the unit for a year. The unit flooded after a hurricane, but there wasn't much damage so that was good

I recently moved items from another storage company to Simply Self Storage in Sanford. The previous company raised their rates twice within the year and could never get a live person on the phone. The managers at Simply Storage made the process easy and stress free. They answered all of my questions and were patient, courteous and professional. Their units are clean and very affordable. I would recommend Simply Self Storage to anyone looking for a stress free move with a great company.

Here we go again, needing a storage place for a short time and of course my first thought is that lovely Christina at this location. I am so happy I talked to her today and will be seeing her soon. What a great place to do business and be treated so wonderful!

Very sneaky place. Was on autopay and was charged a $70 late fee. They claimed they tried to reach a number that I never had to let me know payment didn’t go through. Wouldn’t recommend this business.

The entire experience from beginning to end was fantastic. I’d give Simply 6 stars if it were an option!!! We recently moved from the Northeast to Orlando. It was a big life event. We are renting while we look for a house, so storage is a big deal. We needed something that checked all the boxes, and Simply did that and more. Christina and Gilbert at the Sanford location made it so easy. I could go on all day about how great the customer service was. How easy it was to find the right type of unit on the website, or how quick they were to answer any questions when we called. But it’s the human aspects that really stood out. I know it’s a big business. But they made us feel like we were dealing with the owners of a family run place. They really personalized everything right down to the choice of the specific unit. And they are pet people! They made our puppy feel so welcomed…who does that in a storage facility, I mean really, it was just so comfortable and well run, that I can’t think of a better place to use. Its like having the giant walk in closet we always wanted. Christina and Gilbert…you guys rock! Thanks!
