Dawn is absolutely amazing. She is an amazing employee. She is always on top of any questions I may have and is absolutely amazing on the phone as well. I am recommending this location to all my friends and family.
We rented a unit at this location for the temperature control and the large overhead doors to pull vehicles inside for ease of loading/unloading. I will say that this location is clean and the unit had zero debris when we moved in. We thought we made the right choice but now, I’m wishing we never moved our stuff in.
We’ve rented this unit for over a year and more times than not, the large overhead door(s) are broken. Not only restricting the use of that amenity, but also restricting the hours they can allow folks to access their unit(s). The first time, I understood and was patient. The next several times, with no change in the situation or plan to have it fixed; we had to say something. At that time we weren’t thrilled but we did receive a small credit.
Since then, we have seen the doors operational once. They have also increased our rates twice within 12 months. We just stopped in today and the door(s) are broken again. When I went into the office to see when this will be corrected, the response I got was no idea, could be months. When I expressed my disappointment with this, the staff member stated “Yeah, customers suck, if people would quit backing into the doors there wouldn’t be a problem.” When I asked about credits since they are not fully providing the services we pay for, she said I would have to complain. I told her this was me “complaining” and she just gives us a number to call. I truly understand that she has no have control over this, but her attitude towards us (the customers) ultimately speaks to the culture of this company.
I did make a call to corporate via the number she provided. The representative advised that this was their top priority and said he put a ticket in. When I asked about receiving a call back or notification of resolution, he advised that I was welcome to call back in 72 hours. Baffled, I asked for clarification as to why I need to call in versus someone reaching out to me; all he repeated was that they were here to help and I could call back anytime.
Needless to say we’ll be making other arrangements in the future and we’ll never use this company again.
Main garage doors always broken and when it is there hours change to 9:30am-6pm and u have to use a normal size door with a cart if you can get one

During a disaster they have two carts available. The blonde in the office is too busy eating potato chips to worry about organizing and making sure things are done in an orderly fashion. Limited hours make it hard to get into in an orderly fashion. Wish I had looked somewhere else. I have lived through hurricanes before and this establishment is lacking. The lady who did my intake was amazing.
This review in no way reflects the hardworking people that are locally operating this facility, but completely directed towards corporate. The decisions that are made on how to run these facilities are poor at best. We moved here to have a higher location in case of hurricanes or storms that cause localized flooding. We are the day before a massive hurricane could flood this area and the facility is closed. Corporate is saying because they are in zone a they must be closed but there are plenty of businesses that are currently operating and you think that corporate would understand that the hundreds of people who need to secure their belongings have a higher priority than one or two local staff members needed to run the facility. Would not recommend. The elevators have limited open door time so you're constantly having to open the door to get your stuff in and out of the elevators. There are not enough carts for everyone to use during higher activity times. If you come after hours and have trouble with the gate good luck ever talking to a human being who can help you. They give you a customer service number but there is absolutely zero customer service as you're directed to leave a message for the local manager.

There are many other places you can go that don't raise storage rent at a whim. Then charge when u ask for a smaller cheaper storage space? The only reason I stayed was not having access to a trailer to move my stuff out to a better place that isn't going to rob u. Do not use them. And no I may not come up as having an account public storage review person.. that's bc I'm using my alternate email. The email I do reviews with. Not the email I do business with. And this is to protect myself and belongings especially after hearing the horror stories the worker was telling. Best believe I'll be getting out of this place at the first opportunity to a storage place that isn't intentionally going to raise rent "because we can" for no reason other than "because we can". Straight crooks people go somewhere else. Yeah nick was a jackazz but at least I wasn't being charged unnecessarily. Transferring from one storage to another shouldn't cost me anything. Especially when the other one is cheaper.

I have rented my unit for 3 or more yrs. The hours of being open to get to your unit have been going down. And now it closes at 5pm, like a bank. This is bad. But they still have not put it back to closing at 9pm when I first came to my unit. Need to stay open to your unit till 9pm. ******1 week after posting on this account they increased my storage cost from $172. A month to $230 a month. ***** But I will say the open hours are back to 9pm for closing. When I started renting storage unit it was$107. A month and now it's $230 a month. And have nothing new being offered, just rent more than double.

I have to say at one of the hardest transitional period in my life Dawn was literally heaven sent! She was encouraging, patient, caring informative and empathetic! The manager at the time(Dec 2023) treated me so poorly and for no reason. Dawn apologized on his behalf and did what she could to be a helping hand! The General manager was called and was also helpful! The day I moved out and into my new home (5months later) I prayed she could be there to see what God had did and she sure enough was! We were both in tears and she was the same encouraging sweet soul! If it weren’t for her I would have moved into Uhaul storage across Hwy 19! She represents what business’ forget about CUSTOMER SERVICE! I recommend her & the facility! It was always clean & easily accessible! Thank you Dawn for everything

Was a loyal customer there for over 3 years.
Have seen it run into the ground in the last two.
Hallways and elevators were always dirty and smelled like urine or generally unpleasant.
Garage doors have been damaged at least four times in the last 3 years..going unrepaired for months on end .
Severely limiting access and causing problems and backups.
Although I paid for access to my unit during extended business hours I often was limited to availability during 9:30am to 5:45pm.
Being my own business owner it makes it difficult to get in and get out to jobs when my equipment is stored in a unit that I can't access till halfway through the morning.
Never did I receive an apology, never did I receive any discounts, only rate raises.
The last straw was at the beginning of this year, when they raised my rate an additional $75 per month.
They are a turn and burn...don't care about the facilities or their clients.
Honestly not sure how they are getting all these 4 and 5 star reviews...but stay away??

I’ve been storing with this location for over a year and they’re awesome. Although I haven’t been here in months, Patricia was out cleaning the property and just took a second to say good morning to all of the customers parked inside. She actually addressed us by name and welcomed me back home. I love it here!
Dawn was very helpful. She was very patient with me and helped me out a lot. I highly recommend going to her. She was able to get me my unit for 1 dollar and insurance free for one month. She also is letting me go and buy my own lock and come back with it instead of having to buy one from them.

I’ve been at the public storage in Benton point for approximately six months now and I would like to thank the staff for their hard work and keeping the place clean and keeping the riffraff out Nick the manager on duty is very knowledgeable with storage and definitely is a place to put your belongings if you were in need for storage And the one redheaded employee that I have a female oh she’s pretty!!

RUN!!!! If you are one week late on your payment be prepared to buy a new lock because they already cut your lock and went through your stuff. My friend found that they tried to break into their tool chest by forcing the lock on it. They cut your access hours by almost 30% but wouldn't give you a discount for it. Corporate won't acknowledge the attempted theft or return calls. Make sure you use the bathroom before they lock the office or you won't have access to the bathroom. This location doesn't have the security that their other locations have. This location leaves the bay doors open so anybody can go in. You don't have to sign in so they know who belongs there and who doesn't. So if your unit gets robbed they have no idea who was on the property or in the facility. We will NEVER rent from them again.

Terrible. Roaches everywhere. Half the time can’t even access my stuff because the automatic doors don’t work. Or you have nowhere to park inside. Staff let people park in the middle can’t get in or out? Hey but atleast there’s a/c lol what a joke
My unit got broken into. They did not offer any type of compensation. They actually wanted to charge me full price to change units. Also the building is filty.
Great experience! Very pleasant site mgr who did a great job of explaining everything in detail.
Their autopay system doesn’t work. If you try to pay online, the system declines every card and then they charge a late fee. When calling to find out what you can do, their solution is to pay over the phone with a TWENTY DOLLAR convenience fee! I don’t recommend this place unless you have the time to drive there every month and make a payment.
Jumped rent $30+. For what? It's always busy , they only have 5 carts , no staff is ever there and they don't answer the phone.
Was angry that when I moved out of my unit on the first of the month in the morning, they charged me for the ENTIRE month in full! They do no type of prorated rent. So they charged me in full and get to rent it to someone else. So they charge a former tenant, and a new one for the same month. Do yourself a favor and find a storage facility. If you do move out of a Public Storage, do yourself a favor and keep your unit empty and locked until the end of the month and then officially vacate. Don’t give them the chance to double their money at your expense.
Moved out of unit early in the morning on May 1 and vacated my unit. I was told that since I didn’t vacate it on April 30 I was going to be charged for the entire month of May for $180. This is ridiculous. How can you be charged an entire month when you moved out in the morning on May 1. I called inquired, but they would not remove the charge in charge me for the entire month . If you rent from this facility, make sure you keep your lock on your storage unit until the very end of the month even if it’s empty. Why let them re-rent a unit and charge a new customer when they’re charging you for an entire month? This is terrible. Customer Service and I would not recommend Public Storage.

I've never been to a storage unit so terrible. Tons of people all trying to pull into one small garage Bay everybody's fighting staff won't do anything. Everyone is trashy.

The manager here, Nick, is phenomenal. Public storage as a whole? I'm not a fan of their corporate tactics and policies, but, this location will handle everything responsibly and professionally.

Nicholas, the property manager, has been nothing short of amazing. We started our experience with public storage in a very different place than we've ended up in. Times have been tough and he's always been very patient and willing to work with us. The guy actually seems like he cares about his customers and wants nothing more than to be helpful. I can't tell you how much we appreciate the way he has been and handled us during these times. He's gone far beyond the requirements of his job in considering his customers feelings and what they are dealing with as well. I don't feel like a customer. He feels like a friend who's willing to treat you with the same consideration he would expect. We don't and never have felt judged. He's always been very respectful even when it comes down to literally the last minute of making payments before auction. It's clean and in my opinion... much nicer than any other facility I've ever used and if you add Nicholas to it..it's golden. All of the employees that we've dealt with at the facility have been a pleasure to work with. I wish there were more people who cared about their jobs and the people that they are helping... It's few and far inbetween these days. We have nothing but the best to say about our experience. Thanks so much for your help Nicholas... we greatly appreciate it.
Needed to transfer storage units and Nick was very quick and efficient with helping us out, especially being able to give us a unit in a very comfortable spot for us.

Very clean, fairly new. Great staff . Nick, Cathy and Patricia are very helpful and nice..... Patricia is excellent, funny, laid-back and very happy with her job, also super hot, lol, js....she deserves a raise!!!! Nick is strictly by the book, however a very good and knowledgeable.... Take care of business for sure.. Good guy. And Cathy is so devoted too. By the book, yet will work for you.. The only downside is that it's so crowded that there's only 4 carts for 900 units... I know that 800 plus are full, also just 1 restroom in the building..... Overall it's new, clean and very well maintained temperature wise and cosmetics..... Go check it out... Captain Bobby Hart..
I live in Georgia & have stored here for about 6 months. I wanted family members in Florida to take the contents but my living in another state made this complicated. The Property Manager, Nicholas, was extremely helpful in making this happen for us. I also found Patricia to be very helpful. Both have been professional, courteous & wanted to make this work for us. This property is very clean & safe. I highly recommend

Best price in this area. They offer you a moving truck also. The staff has great customer servie skills, and go above and beyond to assist you.they have movinging supplies for a great price. If you need a cup of coffee or bottled water it is available in loby. The facility is very clean for yor items, and climate control if you choose.
All I have to say is Awesome service from requesting info, setting my storage up, asking 101 questions. Rosemary was Awesome ☆☆☆☆☆. On-site manager from Alaska was so professional and answered all our questions. All the staff was great 5 stars to all.

This place is such a great facility. Nick and Bobby and all the employees are so great. They make it such a easy move in and handle problems. The facility is very clean. The elevators are questionable. They door closure time is too short and now after a short time of use they are breaking down. I believe they used regular rather than heavy duty freight style.
The shortage of carts is very frustrating especially on weekends.
Because of my disability status I'm on fixed income and it really was not appropriate that after 3-4 months of occupancy they raised rent rates by more than $50. Per month .. this is very hard on me as it takes me much more time to move in or out.

Very nice storage place. It offers a drive-in air conditioned loading/unloading area, public restrooms, with spacious elevators and bright lights. Highlly recommended.

Before I moved to Port Richey, I looked online for a place to store my household items until I find a new home. I found this storage facility close to my Aunt's.
Went yesterday to look at it and to see if I could change my reservation to a smaller storage space. Nicholas was AWESOME!! He not only allowed me to change from the largest space to a smaller one, he looked to get me a great deal on the new space! After I paid and settled on it, he took me around and showed me the facility and explained the whole security process and how he checks the locks everyday. I felt so much better about leaving my items there than I have with any other storage facility I have ever used (and I was married to a military man and have moved MANY times).

We kept our stuff here for about a year. Good rates, very clean and they always had a courtesy cart handy. Nick and the staff were very professional. Open 24/7 with indoor loading area.
Just rented a unit there. Was enticed by a $1 first month rent, but got hit with $40 charge for this that and the other thing. Would have been $60 if I hadn't had my own lock. For $100+ per/mo, I expect 24 hr access, but I was pressed for time, so I settled.
