This storage place which I used for years decided to remodel so I needed to move my things. They provided no help . were rude and difficult to communicate with/ Today I went to talk to them about unit issue and no one answered the phone, the door was locked I had to wait more than 20 minutes, I Would recommend finding a better storage place. At first I use the public storage just off Atlantic on 2nd for about 2 years I had a $300 unit at a discount price for the whole time access was awesome so was service needed to downsize so we chose the location South on 8th and Dixie highway. Again service at the office was amazing access is also amazing. Great price for the size!

This local is a convenient secured and clean please to store our own items at low cost and convenient accommodation. The schedule should be 24 hours but hope they can consider work on it.
As a first-time storage unit renter and international client, my experience with Public Storage was appalling. Forced into a rushed relocation due to unexpected renovations, they offered zero accommodations. Their 'compensation' was a measly $70 savings - their standard introductory offer. To make matters worse, they hit me with an arbitrary price increase during my stay.
Communication was non-existent. The property manager was unreachable despite multiple calls and messages. The lack of support for a time-sensitive, complex move was unacceptable, especially for someone new to storage rentals.
Their treatment of new and long-distance customers is shameful. I strongly advise anyone, particularly those managing international storage needs, to look elsewhere. There are far better options that actually value their customers and understand the complexities of long-term, long-distance storage.

Omg the office girls were awesome. Thank you for such helpful great women... sad to have to leave this location. wasn't by choice. they are renovating where my unit was at for the last 5 yrs. the ladies helped me get a new unit down the street and made the new transition easy.
Almost 4 months later and still waiting on my Auction unit deposit to be returned, they said they sent out a check and I never relieved it so every time I go up there they say they will have a manger contact me and they will email somebody to find out what's going on and nothing! This is my 6th time coming up here and they keep giving me the run around! This all started when i picked up a unit, paid deposit, cleaned out unit , they gave me deposit back in cash and called me and said it was supposed to be a check and could I please return it before someone gets in trouble so I did and now still waiting months later smh

I was surprised that the special rate was actually honored. Most places will use that as a fishing point and tax on extra fees. That was not my experience here. I wasn’t able to pick up an auctioned unit, called the location and explained before the time was up they said it’s fine it would just go to the next bidder. Then I was still suspended from Storage Treasures . Tried to get ahold of the manager probably ten times to dissolve the matter. Never in, left two voicemails never get a returned call. Would love to get the matter situated?!

After an extremely frustrating day with other storage companies. I needed to speak to managagent on site, but I was unable to do so because they were all closed! I had filled out a partial app on that I forgot about. And my phone rang. Normally I don't answer unidentified numbers, but was so mad at a storage company that I was string in front of and without thinking, I answered. It was Jackie from Public Storage and was following up on my application. She was kind ,friendly and that put me at ease because I was upset. She let me know I wasn't gar away from her and told me to come over because she was on site. She accimplished in 15 mins what other companies could not do in two days! As a matter of far it took me longer to write this review than it did for her to get me in my air conditioned unit...lol! "Jackie for President!" Thus young lady deserves a raise! Thank you Public Storage I will recommend thou to family and friends!

Great storage units, and staff doesn't bother you if you are at your unit for a while, like hours. The only thing that I don't really like is that every 6 months your unit goes up 50.00.

Very favorable experience yesterday at the P’ S’ facility on Dixie Hwy in Pompano Beach, FL. Nice clean and well organized with a really helpful and professional staff member named Diana. My wife and I can’t say enough about how pleased we were with her service. Only thing I’d like to see changed is the ability to change my computer generated password/code to something Of my choice however that’s really a very small thing. I will certainly recommend this P’S’ facility to my friends and neighbors if they need a nice place for their storage needs. 5 Stars to Diana.

I've rented here for over a year. There is a homeless person who a staff member says is her friend, who has attacked and threatened me on the property numerous times. I don't believe she even rents a unit there. The local police department has a personal problem with me and relishes when these people mess with me and refuses to address the issue in a manner appropriate to law enforcement. Furthermore, when she threatened me this morning the security guard satthereanddid npthing. Even though he has no problem harassing me, who actually rents a unit, for using m bass guitar. The halls also frequently reek of marijuana.
Update 3/29/24: Today, the main staff member greeted me cordially and offered a potential solution to the problem. There were no insults, or attacks, the halls were clean, and the building seemed in generally better shape than the last few times I've been there.

When I needed my unit switched it was switched with no problem I must say Nelta is a great worker I can see her stepping up within the company.

This is facility is horrible!!! The elevators and the floors are dirty and disgusting. The bathrooms are atrocious!! They look and smell like homeless people use and live in them. Other tenants tell me it’s not a safe facility. Cars get broken into as well as storage units get broken into. I will not be keeping my stuff here very long. Worst storage facility I’ve ever seen!!

I admit I’ve been consistent with storing at another local Public Storage location that was nearly perfect, and chose this location due to unit size availability and pricing. Was much better, but got what I paid for example as going to the unit two days after moving my apartment furniture in (short term this time), I was shocked to see a number (too many) roaches crawling al, over everything. Management says they’re going to take immediate action,and we’re great and I believe they will try to help, but I also treated the area myself as well, just to make sure. Still recommend Public Storage, and this location, just be aware.

Updated 9-29-2023. While my experience at this location has been for the most part 5-star I am disappointed with the inaccurate information I was verbally told at the time I rented my space. I was one of the first to rent at this location which was brand new at the time. I asked Jasmin how often does Public Storage generally increase the rent (the prior rental facility I was at was raising rent every few months). Jasmin said generally the first rent increase is at 6-months and then every 12-months thereafter. My initial rent lasted for 8-months and then the first increase. My first increase only lasted for 4-months as I was just notified of yet another increase starting on November 1st. 2023. I am discouraged by the bait and switch these rental facilities play with their customers. If we're told one thing that is what the company should stand by. I called the DM today and am waiting for a call back. When I spoke to a young lady at the location today I was offered to rent a smaller space which would have a reduced rate... that would mean I need to spend hours moving my things from one space to another... and why? They will only increase the rent on the smaller space in a few months anyway!

I recently rented a unit at 850 S. Dixie Highway. I was greeted by Jasmin when I entered the rental office, she was so helpful and very customer service friendly. There was a small snag that had to get worked out and after speaking with Nelta (also VERY nice) and Curt the issue was resolved quickly and to a 100% satisfaction. This facility is brand new and very clean. Parking by the rental office and the unloading area for the storage units in the climate controlled building is limited but otherwise I would highly recommend if you need storage space to come to Public Storage. P.S. The technology is great at this location. You can access the entrance gate, the door to the common hallway in the climate controlled building, and elevator right from your smartphone. No need to press buttons on the keypad anymore!

The facility do not care about your personal items AT ALL! They do not have a protocol as to missed communications on thier behave! I put my things in a PAID unit on Friday to have everything THROWN AWAY by Wednesday! Now my 4 year son and myself(being 5 months pregnant) have no set home and NOTHING AT ALL! Everything I've worked for was thrown in the TRASH! All of our important documents, baby pics everything is gone! BECAUSE EVERYTHING WE HAD WAS THROWN AWAY! With no remorse from the company! No one in the facility has nothing to say about it. So please reconsider doing business with these people! They don't care about your items!!! They will throw it away without your knowledge!!
someone fraudulently using my storage some random guy has been paying the storage I closed off over a year go or so i thought I called the manager and apparently they are in on this illegal scheme someone is paying by calling or in person the storage unit 2161 that I closed off over a year ago somehow the manager said as long as they’re getting paid it’s not a problem she doesn’t think fraud and lying and lack of integrity is a problem so I’m convinced she’s in on this illegal scheme ; unit 2161 I closed it last august and some vagabond keeps paying and using it ; my name still shows so public storage better remove my name and close it down ; litigation pending against both Public storage and the vagabonds who incognito are using my identity against my wishes;identity theft
Stay away from this place! Our bay was broken into. Someone picked the lock. Since there wasn’t forcible entry our claim was denied. Definitely an inside job. No cameras inside the hallways.

Had a unit for about a month here and got the first month for less than $50 at the end of the day. Never really had any problems at the unit. My locker was able to remain bug-free during my stay on the third floor and the climate control was nice too.

Pompano Public Storage is probably the worst one. Front desk girl treated me like she's the black queen of the world and we're all inferior. She kept me waiting when I was first and helped other people. She obviously has a hatred against white people with accent. The manager was there. I asked questions but not once he looked at my face and answered me. He treated me like I'm a ghost. These people are so discriminating that they will make you feel horrible. Later I learned they treated my friend who was there to rent a storage the same. Something is wrong with the staff. Manager and that nasty girl have to be fired.
They have good customer service and have nice people so go rent units with them they charge at fair price.
