Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 4221 Park Blvd, Pinellas Park, FL

This place is a scam! They just raised my rates over 30% after six months. I couldn’t find that mentioned anywhere when I signed up, after calling the location, the employee said it’s in the rental agreement “fine print”. Don’t use this place!!!

Very poorly managed. I called for 2 full days leaving messages and having to go through customer service to open a claim because no one answers the phone or works on site. It's a ghost town most of the week. Very frustrating when you do talk to the manager on sire because she's got terrible communication skills. Overall the worst storage facility I've been too. Rat dropping inside broken glass all over the parking lot definitely stay away if you can.

The most poorly managed storage facility I’ve ever experienced there is literally never anyone in the office so if you want to feel like your valuables are protected, don’t come here if there’s a fire, no one would know for hours I’m contacting public storage corporate to tell them the same thing. It is unsafe and extremely unprofessional how they run this facility.

Do NOT use this storage location. The property manager, Jessica, is extremely unprofessional and never does her job correctly, if at all… you’ll never be able to contact anyone because no matter if they are in the office or not, the doors are locked and the phones get forwarded. It’s supposed to be climate controlled (AC) but it’s NOT. You can’t even walk in the unit without dying of heat with no air flow.. my stuff was melted and ruined after no AC for weeks in the unit. I complained and pleaded and Jessica does not care to solve problems or take situations into consideration… instead, I’m getting charged $150 extra than I ever planned on. I was trying to get my stuff out but due to the heat I couldn’t, now I had to leave my stuff in there for another month (unplanned) and couldn’t afford, and now that the AC is finally somewhat fixed (or so they say), they are putting a new lock on my unit and charging $50 extra. Literally the worst customer service ever and units. Try a different location FOR SURE.

Where do I start coming back for the second time around and I met Valerie who is such a nice and sweet individual she was so helpful into helping me find a storage unit so much so that I made a purchase today I was just coming in to inquire but she definitely changed my mind and I made the purchase with breaking down the promotions and deals also showing me unit by unit she was so patient with giving all the knowledge of how to go about the size of unit that I would need etc I give her five stars I really loved and appreciated her knowledge and customer thanks so much Valerie for all your help you did a awesome job helping me to make the purchase.

I wouldn't take advantage of their first month for free/ Half off or any type of deals. They raise the price of your original contract. They are supposed to notify you before they raise the price but they did not notify me and did not correct the email address that was given properly the even locked me out even though I was paid up. Do not take any of their advice they give you because they'll steer you wrong.. take out the insurance and read your contract.=SEEMS SOME MANAGERS SET UP PEOPLE FOR FAILURE SO BEWARE OF PUBLIC STORAGE. -ALTHOUGH I DID HAVE A GOOD EXPERIENCE =AT A LOCATION IN PASCO COUNTY US 19. AND JENNIFER IN PINELLAS COUNTY ON 19 IS A WONDERFUL , MGR. A WONDERFUL PERSON

RUN!!! As of 3/2/22 my storage cost was $181 . It is now 4/13/23 (just one year later) and it has gone up to $355!!! That is an increase of $174 in one year!!! Ugh! This is so stressful. That's an extra $2088 per year!!! I've had storage units in the past and never, ever, have I had this type of increase. I never would have chosen you had I known this was the case.

Nice and clean facility. There is only one cart to help bring or take out of your unit. This should be fixed with multiple carts.

UPDATED STARS: I was fairly promptly contacted about this issue and it was more than satisfactorily resolved. I am impressed with the customer service I received regarding this issue, and have changed my review from 1 to 4 stars. Previously: Facility is clean and seems secure. However, after nearly a year, the app still does not work on the gate, but more importantly, they have upped the rent substantially about every 60-90 days! It's RIDICULOUS! I'm stuck there, but I can't believe how often they raise the rent for a small, empty space that takes virtually no maintenance.

Poor service, always rude thats when there is someone behind the desk because hours of operation doesn't mean someone is there. Any chance they get they trying to but a lein on your unit or late fees even if you a week late.

Nick has been wonderful, any issues I have or could have had he either fixed it or prevented it just by being honest.

If your planning on renting here, please consider the $25-$50 increase they apply every 6 months. We started out paying $100/mo in 2020, with the increase it’s now $200. Be sure to review how often they increase rent. Don’t get sucked in with a cheaper first month.
